throw that guy with the axe in jail asap
just wanted to axe him a question
@@ronmimnaugh7674 i laughed at this
That’s why I’m carrying a crowbar when I start driving.
Or shoot him if he stops you
They shoulda called the cops when he flashed an axe at them
From watching a lot of these videos I’ve started to notice that the person with the dash cam may not have been at fault but there have been plenty of clips where the dash cam driver could have easily avoided the situation if they themselves were also paying attention or going the speed limit, it baffles me how some of those people are able to submit the clip and think they are absolutely 100% innocent.
!
There’s also plenty of times where if they were paying attention more the might have notice the car pulling out so close, because if they car appears to have spot like alot of times they just pull out again. I don’t know if they panic or what but I’ve had it happen a few times to me, so I honestly just start slowing down when I see that so I will avoid a crash. However still entertaining and makes me remember to be more aware.
7:33 comes to mind, dude was 100% just not paying attention until the last second he admits himself that he had time to stop but that was probably after he watched the footage
yeah,
7:25 I feel like it applies to this guy, he could’ve just let the maroon car ahead of him since they’re merging
If I had a nickel for every time I’ve seen a video of a guy in a car chasing another guy in a car with an axe, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice

Did i ask?
Some drivers seems to have zero spacial awareness. They drive as if their car ended at their shoulders, and as far right as the left side is from the driver. That's the only reasonable explanation for a LOT of crashes.
spatial
They shouldn't be driving without spatial awareness.
They just don't care, at least that's how I see it. Many of them act like they're the only people on the roads and everyone else is just obstacles in their way.
@@greghartman5895 that’s exactly it. It’s selfishness, people think they’re there most important person on the road and that they’re the only one with anywhere to get.

Do you have highways in certain states that you have to pay to use? I’ve never seen that on the west coast where I’ve been
Yes, I think most states do today.
I don't know about the west coast but I'm sure there are toll roads in states as far as Texas.
@@g00dl00kinb0i just sounds weird to pay to ride on the highway
Honestly I never used one, there's plenty in New Jersey and upstate NY but there's always a comparable road that runs parallel and is toll free but might take longer to get you there, I'll take the longer drive.
Now they plan to charge people for entering the southern part Manhattan so as to lower congestion, the same scam they run in London for years.
And if course the wicked tolls they charge for bridge crossings, Verrazano bridge costs $19/car, trucks and commerical is in the high $20s a trip🤯
Wow the driver towing the unstable vehicle at 7:10 made a super solid recovery. Some incredible driving on everyone’s part!! Thank you for sharing cammer, I bet that was an intense evening you won’t forget anytime soon.
Not really that good of a recovery. They should have floored it and it would have straightened up immediately. At least they didn't flip it tho lol
So what caused it to go side to side like that was because the vehicle on his trailer wasn’t secure enough?
@@RandomWrongDeletion Too much weight at the hitch or even a change in wind when passing. He was already having problems before the major swaying occurred. You noticed the driver really got out of control when he/she passed that box truck. Going too fast. He recovered after falling behind the truck…
I’ve seen this too many times to count here in SE Texas.
@@annferguson3113 why couldn't he just brake as long as the cars behind him allow it?
@@nickwilson3499 A gradual reduction (foot off gas petal) in speed would have helped…that and staying out of the passing lane. But applying brakes while at those speeds in the middle of a trailer sway would/will make recovery difficult. When things like this happen, people want to put their foot on the brake anyway and steer their way out of it. Not good.

Well, since he was on the highway if he threw the axe it is going 70+mph towards your car.. same reason why it’s dangerous to have a rock/wood plank go through your windshield.. a axe would be very deadly

I got heart palpitations even just sitting behind my desk during that. Jeeeesus
9:52 Definitely a nice reaction from the cammer. In a situation like this, you have to be aware of the possibility that the car's view of your lane is obscured by the other vehicle and that they're going to make the bad decision to pull out regardless of what they can see.
Yeah, pretty dumb. You could see the car pulling out before the truck obscured it. Noticing the truck slow and stop is more than enough to figure out something’s going on. The good reaction would have been to slow down, not speed on past.
@@fredfonebone5108 The truck slowed down because he was turning...
You know, in a ton of these videos the clips often contain a driver that gets into an accident or nearly does because they are using their horn instead of focusing on safely avoiding the situation first.
This clip was a rare instance where the driver actually didn't do that.

At 9:35 I was amazed that the cop didn’t give them a ticket or something
In case anyone's wondering, the clip at 6:40 is what happens when you improperly load a trailer.
Wobbles can be self-dampening or self-sustaining depending on where the load is relative to the axle. In this case, they fucked that up and any minor instability was going to turn into what we saw very rapidly.
Lmfao, thank you for the explanation…I legit thought it was just very aggressive road rage until I read this.
Omfg the Nissan driving behind him was making me angrier than the dude trying to recover from the wobble! Why would you stay that close to that trailer???
i laughed out loud at 2:37 LMAO holds axe out the window, ive never seen anything like this in Ontario
3:37. DON"T EVER EVER EVER try to be nice and let someone out. You're only asking for an accident. Keep traffic flowing, they'll get out in a few minutes.
Some id!ot guy almost caused a traffic jam bc he stopped while at a green light and wanted me to turn left into the parking lot I was driving into but the other lane wasn’t stopping and I was just sitting there waiting like wtf are you doing and the other cars behind him started honking lmao how embarrassing for him.
I see it all the time as a pedestrian. Approach a cross walk, but I NEVER expect someone to stop for me, I'd rather wait for a clear spot in traffic and just wait to cross, but no, it never fails, some idiot thinks they're so nice and tries to stop for me, but it's completely pointless because the other lane isn't stopping at all, nor should they, so the person stopping for the pedestrian is just wasting everyone's time all so they can pat themselves on the back.
@@VoodooV1 In America, you are required to stop for pedestrians trying to use an unsignalized crosswalk. But no, you shouldn’t trust drivers to follow that law.
I'll leave space if all the traffic is stopped at a light in front of me and there's only one car length in front of me. But it's generally a bad idea. Better to turn right and drive down a little to a light to cross.
@@lucaslenig5595 no you are not required to stop at all. If I'm just standing at an intersection waiting for traffic to clear. no you do not need to stop for me. That is asinine, traffic would always be blocked if that was the case. your only requirement is to not hit me were I in the intersection. but that's also part of the problem too because some pedestrians just blindly enter traffic like idiots, expecting cars to stop on a dime for them. Besides, almost every trail intersection has a stop sign for us pedestrians. stop signs beat yield signs so again, cars are just wasting their time stopping for pedestrians unless its to avoid hitting them
6:55 the vehicle is going completely out of control, the guy behind him still trying to follow as close as possible??
They’re not that close, really
@Kepler 186-F Hello
@Kepler 186-F I’m doing good, how bout you?
8:11 Are we certain this one's a hit and run? It looks like the minivan quickly exits the intersection then slows down, waiting for the sedan.
Not only that, but the sedan was clearly at fault for not yielding, so the guy driving the van would have no motivation to run.
@@Owleroyou do realize the majority of people who run are people without papers? Meaning no insurance lol
5:36 this happened to me and my family on Halloween night. Woman ran a red light said she didn't have time to slow down so she decided to speed up. Completely totaled our car, and she and her kids (toddlers) had to go to the hospital. I swear some people have no common sense
Speeding because you're running late is never worth your life or others. I also personally always aim to be early where I'm going so that when things are looking good on the road, I have buffer time to spare.
the lady infront of the guy filming ran the red light right?
Anyone notice the speedometer in the dashcam that said mp/h?
I love miles per per hour.
Xddd
7:43 that didn’t seem like they had plenty of time to stop to me.
So far, the road ragers I've dealt with, I have just tried to drive along slowly (ready to stop if they cut me off) and didn't react to them?
They basically screamed and ranted...then got it out of their system and went on.
So far, so good on that.
If someone hits you and you see that it was because they were texting, I'm pretty sure you're legally obligated to grab their phone and fire it off an overpass.
hell yeah
People, for the love of God here!! If you have an accident or witness an accident, if your vehicle is at all driveable, MOVE TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER!!!
If you move to the left lane, your chances of being smashed by a speeding vehicle from the rear is almost 100%!!!

@@garrison.s.9639 I’m talking about the other truck driver, genius.
5:39 anyone know why the lights went from normal to blinking yellows? do you think the one car hit the controller? or are the traffic cameras/sensors that sophisticated?
I was wondering that as well and I’m taking a random guess saying it detected the crash. They kinda remind me of the hazard lights on most vehicles.
looks like the car that the Lexus took out also took out the traffic light on the other side. It probably can't detect it and put it on a yellow signal to make up for it
7:05 wtf this guy is driving around with the hubble telescope
4:00 sees the danger and decides the accelerate into it and beep the horn rather than using the brake pedal to help avoid what nearly became a car crash, terrible driving the idiot in other car was negligent you were malicious.
7:22 I know that exact stretch of 279, its where McKnight connects into it. I drive to work through that everyday and I’m constantly concerned about something like that happening. It’s ridiculous they even tried to so early when that lane doesn’t have to merge so quickly
No matter where it is, if you are in that situation and someone needs to merge, just back off and let them in. And NEVER swerve into another lane unless you are 100% certain it is clear. If the cammer had swerved into another car with that maneuver he would have been completely at fault.
@@Rocker4JCforever the red car still had plenty of slip road and thus time to merge. the line was still solid when he did try and merge and he didn't even signal until the very last second
@@interpolfan04it is a good habit to change lane and give space for those trying to merge on a highway
2:16 its sh!tty when the offender is in the wrong but someone else pays for their crap instead of the offender themselves
7:24 Camera should have looked in his mirrors to switch lanes to let the van in, yeah the cutoff wasn't acceptable but cammer should have been thinking about switching lanes to let cars merge in easier
Depends on the location, in Texas it is the duty of those entering onto the freeway that they should match the flow of traffic before merging, and that those on the highway have right of way. We do consider the idea of moving to the left lane or slowing down when a car needs to enter, but if you have the speed and sufficient room ahead then those on the highway do not have to move out of your way to allow you to merge.
I understand that but no signal and wasn’t even fully in the lane and showed no motive to get into the lane. It was random and dangerous. Atleast signal so the driver knows to slow atleast.
No signal, no indication they wanted to change lanes, it was 1000% the other guys fault in my eyes.
I'm going to start driving next year, I'm really worried esp. after watching these videos. Any good advice?
5:28 funny how that song came up for the lexus
First claaaaassss
4:54 you can hear the amount of shit they have in their car slidding and falling around XD
I do agree with them, if you make a stupid decision like pulling out in front of someone, at least commit and get out of everyone else's way. Panicking and going slow like that only increases the risk of accident. Everyone at some point has done something like that, so at least don't block the road.
7:45 is a good example of commiting to a choice, good or bad, and following through. Control of the wheel and a calm mind goes a long way.
2:03 is probably a good speedup when you consider that driver was practically driving in a way that an ambusher would. Edit: after the video continues, he's actually an axe wielding maniac chasing him??

7:40 You did not have enough room to stop. You followed to close and were lucky to have an escape.
I agree, although it _also_ depends on the people behind you to not be tailgating, as well?
I try to maintain a 2 second distance in front and at least one "bail space" to go into if bad stuff happens.
I find people come up behind me really fast, and get really close, even though I'm always over the speed limit. 😳
Move out of the way, speed up. Five seconds later...here comes another tailgater.
It's just how people drive here... like maniacs.

@@parsonsmarcus still not enough room to stop
8:09 the ironic part about this accident is that, if that van had a green light, then they were not at fault. I think this is the case because the white Jeep? behind them, is also going through the intersection. Unlikely 2 cars are running the same red light. They likely fled the accident because they either:
1. Dont have insurance
2. have drugs or illegal firearms in the car (or both)
3. are just stupid and thought it was their fault
Or they could have been getting out of the intersection to pull over in a safe place and call the police
I think its a green light for both but the non-van is turning left and didnt yield to oncoming traffic

7:37 honestly amazing driving from the dashcam. I wouldve just broke, never would've thought to change lanes to reduce the chance of getting rear ended
I mean, good reaction, but the better solution was to change lanes to give the minivan room to change or not drive in their blind spot. Cammer was driving assuming the minivan saw him but on those on ramps, he was in their blind spot the entire time. Minivan would still be at fault for not clearing the blind spot, but the driver could've easily slowed down or changed lanes and guarantee there was no chance of being hit.

3:30 lmao the "why'd you do that" unaware af.
Amazes me how some people still manage to find the horn before the brakes.
I loveeeee when people not involved in accidents start yelling and screaming LOL absolutely hilarious
3:37 If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: _this_ is why you don't try to be a "good Samaritan" on a multi-lane road. You don't know what the cars in the lane next to you are going to do, and because you're stopped, the car you're trying to let in front of you can't see them. Unless you know for sure that all lanes are 100% safe (i.e. both lanes are completely stopped), that car wanting to pull out can wait its turn.
The few times I've let someone cut in, it was either because the other lane was full too but someone looked willing to let them through as well, because I could see far down the road and see nobody coming, or because they forced it and I'm not about to get into an accident over their risks lol.
This is a 2-lane road that gets a left-turn lane approaching the light. But as you say, at that spot it's a lane that keeps moving and kaboom!
Just always take ypur turn! Always exercise your right of way and never defer it to anyone. You just confuse people by trying to be "polite". You're in everyone's way.

8:01 was that a hit and run? Didn't look like the van fled, and for that matter why would the victim run from a hit and run (they seemed to both have solid green)
I was thinking the same
why would they run?
they both had green, the guy turning left went in front of the van, to me it seemed like the sedan was at fault
but who knows, maybe Americans have weird traffic laws.
@@razumikhim in most places, you can make a left turn like a yield when it's clear and green for straight traffic. To me, looks like the sedan was doing that, but noticed he didn't have time to go in front, so he stopped to go behind (which is common). The van, on the other hand, had more than enough time and room to slow and go around, so from the limited we see, I'd assume the full fault would go to the van.
@@iwasnthere1745 I’m putting it on the sedan.

Always assume the other drivers on the road are going to do something stupid.
If someone is waiting to turn onto your road, always have one foot on the break and be cautious.
If somebody is merging onto the highway, get over and let them in.
If your light turns green, ALWAYS check both ways before going through the intersection.
If you’re driving on the highway, never tailgate, especially when you’re going 75 mph+, always leave room to stop.
You never know what the other person is going to do. Always assume it’s going to be something stupid.
