Seeing ballet flats as a winter trend is crazy to me as someone living in Norway. Even fall is too cold for flat here. Interesting how much winter trends vary depending on the climate you live in. I really do envy those who can wear ballet flats and can get away with just a sweater or cardigan in the winter. I always gotta layer so much and feel super restricted in my movement because of all the layers.
Same as a Swede, it's hard sometimes to take inspiration from many of the fall and winter trend videos online considering a lot of it isn't wearable in proper autumn and winter weather. So jealous of the people being able to wear ballet flats in autumn and winter lol, that would never be possible here.
I totally feel this as i really can't wear them once it hits winter and snows but i do try anytime i can!! but to any other part of the world that can i am also jealous of!!
Tip for the girls: if you have block heels or ballet flats or mary janes made of fabric or canvas, you can use a tiny safety pin to put bows on the toe of the shoe or add other little decorations so that you don't have to buy a new pair of shoes to be on trend.

One of my good scores thrifting was a Cape by Talbots that was double sided wool and waterproof! I’ve had it a few years and love it!

So much of what you described I have in the vintage shop I work in right now. We just got so many coats in today with the fluffy faux fur trim (we got one that's fully real fur lined) .

Snag is the best place to go for coloured tights, the quality and fit is great, and they have so many colours! Great video, but I REFUSE to bring back ballet flats from my childhood, the sensation of feeling the textures and bumps of the ground underneath was full on sensory overload

Not a fan of the ballet flats. As I get older, I prefer comfort over fasion, and ballet flats are just super uncomforable for me, plus I would never wear them this time of year because it's been so cold and rainy where I live. I will be living in my boots from now until Spring.
Aritzia is lightweight but I’m a cold person it does not keep me warm
