- In case you didn't know, bullfrogs will eat just about anything that will fit in their mouth and that includes other frogs. Using hollow body frogs is probably the best way to catch them with a fishing rod. My friend Will was using a Spro and Booyah frog for them and I was the camera guy. It's amazing how the frogs will leap across the water trying to gulp the frog in. Please like and subscribe! Thanks for watching!!

I think pretty much all frogs are cannibals. I used to catch frogs and lizards all the time when I was young and would go visit my grandma in Florida for the summer. I would put them all in the same tank. One summer I had been catching a ton of them, and after a while it seemed like there were less and less frogs/lizards in the tank. Being young I didn't know what was happening, I thought maybe frogs had the ability to burrow underground and were hiding from me. Then finally one day I dropped a tree frog in there that I had just caught and one of the big frogs that still remained visible shot his tongue out and caught the tree frog immediately. The tree frogs legs were hanging out of the big frogs mouth, kicking for dear life.
Needless to say my grandma immediately made me get rid of the "devil frog" as she called him.

Elijah Jonhson I have cleaned a fish before and I think knowing when you are getting killed is different than feeling pain. If you ever looked at any studies you would know too that fish don't feel pain
The argument that fish don't feel pain is pretty complex, but I know for a fact that they feel fear! So why would feeling pain not be plausible? And even if they don't, isn't fear bad enough? I usually try to avoid c&r for that reason, and simply catch whatever I will finish in the same day I catch. And I don't FISH quite often, so don't even mention over fishing.

If you put a piece of meat in your mouth n it tastes like rubber you spit it out pretty fast.. Same deal.. Gotta set the hooks FAST but you can't do it too early.. Buddies timing with his hook sets were off..

I once caught a huge bullfrog while fishing a large BeetleSpin. I actually saw the frog attack the lure under water, along a weedline. It happened so fast, I thought it was a 1 lb bass when it hit.

Bullfrogs are delicious. I usually filet them and make frog burgers. I add green food color to homemade bread buns and the kids love it. We eat green frog burgers on Saint Patricks day every year.

Every time I visit my mom we catch a few frogs just like that using a top water popper or plastic... pretty much anything you can skip across the weeds. I think it is more fun than gigging or hunting them.
Everyone saying that frogs have pain receptors and fish have very little are complete tards. Fish are living these and they do have more pain receptors than most people think. This is pretty much what happens to fish when you catch them. I see nothing wrong with this video at all. Keep doing your thing guys!
actually fish dont. the fact that they are living things means nothing, you have to look at their neuro-anatomy. most fish species simply od not have the brain regions or nociceptors that would allow them to feel pain as say a human would.

i was bass fishing this weekend in central Wisconsin and as i was using a fake weed less frog i saw these huge frogs go after my bait. so i decided to start casting closer to shore and i ended up catching a ton of bull frogs

We used to catch them with plastic baits on purpose lol.. we would eat some of them sometimes. Their legs are really good.
I caught 7 bull frogs in one day using a plastic worm, I literally hopped it on top of the moss and it worked

I do this all the time when I get bored. I grab my frog or worm rod, head to the ditch and I dangle the lures in front of their face and laugh as they try to eat it. Only thing is I don't set the hook on them.

I have caught thousands of frogs like this. Thanks for the video! It's brought back memories, that I never want to forget. I actually used a small rubber frog, or a small piece of red cloth tied to a hook. Well red is best, but any color will work.
