WONDERFUL. I HAVE BEEN DISSABLED SINCE 1949’ when I contracted polio. I have see many rooms labeled “disabled” This really delivers the good. Thank you so much for designing a wonderful room. I look forward to our next cruise on a new Celerity ship.
Thanks Abi for your review of Celebrity accessible rooms. Never having to use one it was very helpful to see what type of room I can expect!! Keep up your good work with reviews!!👍👋👋
Hi Abi, I just came across your channel as I was looking for a video about accessible cabins on Celebrity Apex as I'm also in a wheelchair (I have Spina Bifida). This was a great video.
Hi Owen, Thank you fro taking the time to check out my channel, I am glad you enjoyed the video. The Edge and Apex are identical ships and so I hope you got an idea of what an accessible cabin will be like from this video. I will be uploading an Edge overall review in the next few weeks. If you have any questions let me know. I will be going to on more cruises in the future and will make sure to keep creating content on them. Have a good day.
Hey Abi, was there a pull down grab bar the shower curtain side of the toilet? It’s unfortunate not all ships have the second bar, it’s so helpful for repositioning…. Great tip for the triride, recently came back from my first cruise, and said to my mum, if my triride broke I’d be screwed! Pushing on the carpets around the ship would have killed me 🤦🏼♀️ ☺️
Hey, Thanks for commenting. I hope you enjoyed my video and let me know if you would like to see any other specific content!?! Unfortunately there was no extra rail so you had one on both side of toilet!! It would be a good extra I think. Triride wise, it’s amazing. I did a cruise without one on the edge earlier this year and my arms were wrecked as Thais time it was a breeze. The multi tool saved me as I had to put the cable back in the throttle as it disconnected on cobbles 😂 so I was lucky I had it. And a puncture repair kit too. Let me know if I can help anymore x
@@abievans Yea I could imagine my shoulders getting ruined, I wouldn’t have attempted a cruise without the triride, it’s opened up my world to be fair, puncture repair kit is a good call too! Gosh how unprepared was I 🤦🏼♀️ I’m hoping cruise lines like celebrity msc royal Caribbean Disney follows p&o NCL and princess when it comes to fitting the extra pull down bar, I think we are spoiled here in Europe as it’s pretty much standard, but not so much in the US ☺️ I’d love to see more of the same, as and when you get away, also I totally understand if you can’t, as I couldn’t manage to video at the same time, and could only manage to just take photos of the accessible excursions ect, but if you find you’re able to, or even if your travel companion can video ramps, vehicles, trams ect would be greatly appreciated by not just me but many others ☺️
I can relate to everything you are saying there, thats for sure! Travelling with a Disability is hard enough without filming, I just get my friends or family to film me - they probably hate me at this point. I do have some footage from the 'Accessible Tender' on the edge that I will put in a video soon. But in the meantime I have just uploaded and accessible hotel room tour if you are interested? I has lots of grab rails which was AMAZING! Thank you for your support, it means a lot :)
