Here’s a lovely song from Ben E. King in 1962 which was resurrected by Skylar Grey in 2018 as a ballad which accompanied the Nescafe Gold TV commercials around the world. It's a song I've always loved and this arrangement is almost a mashup of those two versions, the bass line of Ben E. King but the cool laid back silky ballad feel of Skylar Grey. Listen with some quality headphones or Bluetooth to your car. I hope you like it. No sheet music yet for this as it I played it by ear. It will be coming though if enough of you requests it. Absolutely beautiful, Neil. I don't know the Skylar Grey version, I'm about to go and look it up. But I absolutely adore Ben E King's version, and that bass line is what sets the whole song off for me. In the 90's I used to roadie for a mobile DJ friend of mine in Manchester and we often worked with a local band called Stax Of Soul - the lead singer was a guy called Stu and he looked a bit like Phil Collins but sounded a bit like James Brown and they did an absolutely amazing version of Stand By Me.
