Thank you man. Just something about being able to appreciate all the little parts that together make the classic. Now if only Nintendo would appreciate it and the franchise more >:(
Sure thing, and I AGREE 100%! F-Zero along with Super Mario World, SFC, etc. are turning 30 in less than a month, and I got a feeling Nintendo will do nothing... 😞
amazing how different a song can sound when you remove instruments. it doesnt just sound like a 'empty' or 'incomplete' version of the full song, it actually sounds like something else.
this could be useful for someone who wants to learn how to play a song by ear but it's hard to hear exactly what the melody of a channel sounds like because it gets drowned out by the whole song

This is amazing work, thank you for creating this! Port Town is my favorite song from this game, and would love to hear the others broken down this way as well! This soundtrack is flawless!
legendary song and there's something so great about the extended-ness of this - featuring all the little harmonic pieces. This reminds me of extended jazz numbers, how they would have the "head" and then followed by 15 separate solos, and back to the head.
I'm such a huge fan of this video! Seeing how this amazing song comes together is so awesome! The baseline especially at 0:31 -0:44 is just so good! It's thanks to F-Zero 99 that has rekindled my love for this franchise ever since I got started with GX when I was a kid! Never knew how good the most for the OG SNES version was tho! I'd love to see more of this kind of stuff, especially for Big Blue! Getting to play with the sound channels myself would be such a sweet treat for videos!
YES! 😎 ☝🏻️ Captain Falcon is proud of you Also love how Port Town is shown also on the F-zero title screen! Ps: I still remember how hard Port Town 2 can be on master 💀
True, provisionally. This one was originally completed/uploaded long before (November 2009 when HD uploads were still uncommon). I would say the channel separation is a bit more organized here, as well.

Port Town..where men are born, bred and raised. Fire Field...where men are forged and hardened into legends

A perfect transition
It made me smile 😊 that's how perfect it is..

Dadz here. This song makes me wish I was captain falcon. Port town will always be home.
The early stages with few instruments playing have a really special and mysterious vibe to me. I loved the Port Town song since I was a kid
This is so good. I came back to this because of F-Zero 99 and it still slaps
The bassline on this track is superb. Stands outs of the rest of the game
This is super cool, it really lets you appreciate each individual piece of the song. I’d love to see this concept for big blue

There's a lot of detail for an early snes game music

Didn't know Sound Channel tests could be this fun to listen to! great job
idk what it is, I just love this damn song. Thanks for the breakdown of the instruments I luv this style
Bruh, this is awesome! It would be a dream if the whole ost was broken down like this in yt videos
Thanks for uploading it's awesome!
Fun to hear all the little details in this awesome piece. Thank you for making this vid
Pretty interesting. I would've thought only 4 sound channels were used.
That sounded so good it brought me to tears. I'd love to hear the other trackmusic like bigblue or firefield with that channeltests!
i wish i can learn about these transitions, idek where to start, but i would love to make this a hobby, truly amazed 🔥
I love it! Now I can play the lead with my piano! Please, PLEASE, do the same with the others F-ZERO tracks!

Wow, this is great! Nice bkgd btw! Port Town's always my favorite! Can u do this to all SNES, maybe GP Legend, songs?
Thanks! I thought about doing more of these-maybe someday. As for GP, I would have to find emulation software capable of doing this 😬
Port Town "separate instruments", kinda the same way

MAYBE. I can't make any promises, though! 😂

Do you make this? How? It's pretty cool !
What is the name of program you use?
I used the SNES9X emulator
You can turn off and on sound channels on the emu, hit the numbered keys.
