The scene where Brigadier Pratap spoke in court the truth about our society and how we try to act as if nothing is wrong with it . That scene really sends chills down my spine everytime I watch it . I can feel his emotions in that scene . Many people won't understand that . But agree or disagree everybody knows that what he was talking about was and is and will be true always . Saurya did not try to portray bad picture of the Indian army. Instead it showed how great the institution of army is, that even a well decorated army officer is not above the law and rule of law prevails in this country. And if you want to understand the context it is being put with reference to AFSPA. That extra judicial killings are not entertained by the Indian army and rule of law prevails here. I dont understand what feeble minded people are interpreting.

So he asks a random question about metallurgy and when he says yes, he tells him " then tell him to come" which was exactly what he ordered in the first place. Basically he didn't need to explain to the junior whether the decision was right or not.
