What the narc wants is for you to be walking on eggshells. The biggest disrespect you can show a narc is to be comfortable. Try something like yawning when they talk, or if youre sitting down put your feet up. You can even throw in a burp or a fart whenever you feel like. You have to own your environment.
To anyone out there watching this and living with a narcissist, or even if you have one in your life, in your home etc... be careful standing up for yourself or enraging them... if they can't control or hurt you any other way... they will resort to putting things in your food or messing with your things... BE CAREFUL
you are spot on! i do the breathing and staying calm in front of them, also the direct eye contact even if their eyes turn red with anger, i stand straight and i turn calmly and walk away. That is the best for me but often i still fail because they know very well how to push my buttons ...your videos make me feel understood. It is really like this
One thing my parents taught me was to look people in the eye. My dad communicated with me a lot with his eyes. It has helped me to hold the gaze of the narcissist. I can look her in the eyes without flinching.

Endless discussions that go nowhere as they pick out one word to ocd on keep the conversation trapped in a control cycle as it goes on and on all the while causing you of being self centered and selfish.
That's when you say "I have the right to be selfish sometimes". Don't be afraid to be bold. And when the conversation gets annoying, literally just walk away saying "I don't need this abuse".

It's really horrible. It doesn't matter what time of day or night it is either. I can't lock a door, as there are no locks on any of them. I've told him to stop it, but he has zero respect for me, so he keeps doing it because he knows jt upsets me. I'm not in a position to get out yet, but I plan to this year as soon as I'm able. 😢
I think my girlfriend is a covert narcissist. She would love bombing me at the beginning of relationship and say I’m belong to her. When we go to places, she would told me not to look at any girls, but it’s okay for her to be friendly with the waiter or staff at that place. She would find any small reason to be angry at me when we were out. Can you confirm if it’s possible that she’s a covert narcissist? Thank you
