Helix Mattresses are amazing. Their pillows are fantastic.
You need to review Santa Clause Conquers the Martians.
Is Dr. vadar a dollar store Dr. Claw, sans cat?
What bed frame is that in the back of your Helix mattress ad??? 😂 Thanks for the weekday laugh I needed it
Man i want one so much, I'm 37 and have a twin mattress... yes. A twin mattress. But I'm single so its comfy and my weighted blanket is awesome.
I honestly don't understand why Jamie doesn't get more views, all of her videos are hilarious and she puts so much work into them, she deserves way more credit than she gets 👏
I completely agree with you! ❤
And half the time I love her voice and how she talks. I could just listen to her and it puts me in a great mood. She’s awesome
@@ChernobylObsidian same!!! I oftentimes put on a Jaime video when I struggle to sleep...her voice just puts me in a calm mental space
I feel like Jaime almost filled in the gap that Jenna Marbles left when she left the internet and literally took off where Jenna left off. Minus the dogs
I AGREE ! Most underrated RUclipsr ♥️♥️♥️
I feel so bad for Corey Feldman. He was a phenomenally talented child actor who had both comedic and dramatic chops but was horribly exploited and abused and when he tried to speak out about it, no one believed him which only traumatized him further. Whenever I see him, the parent in me just wants to give him a hug.
Same
I'm not even a parent and I want to give him a hug because of it. He did not deserve any of that crap he went through. 😔
Right? Watching him in movies makes me sad knowing what he was going through during it.
Glad someone said something!!
❤
this movie was totally referenced in the ned’s declassified school survival guide when all the kids try to flush the toilets at the same time to make the school jump
Ohhh that’s where i heard that before! I thought it seemed familiar 😂 Thank you for commenting this 😊
Now that I think about it, Dr. Vader reminds me a lot of iTeacher, aka that one teacher from Ned's that always taught from her home on a mobile TV.
A lot of the "best" parts of this movie remind me of Ned's, which would probably make a decent recommendation to watch Ned's instead of this, lol
Omg I totally forgot about that show! I loved it, thanks for the nostalgia.
You should TOTALLY do “Dude, Where’s My Car?” It’s absolutely PERFECT for this channel! Jamie commentary on that movie I would forever LIVE FOR!!
I never saw that, but I’ll bet it’s a god-awful movie that wore like pleather…
Yes to Dude, Where’s My Car?!
she only does pg fam friendly movies lol
This is 1 of those movies you see when home sick from school & you SWEAR no one else knows of it
I woke up in the middle of the night about a month ago & was still fighting the flu, (I got really hungry for some reason & I hadn't been eating much, so I got a snack & turned on the tv) this really weird ass movie was on but caught my interest & the scene that was on had Rami Malek, (& I was curious what part of his career this movie was made in) so I watched the rest of it. When the credits rolled, I literally looked around (as if I wasn't by myself to see if anyone else watched it 🤦♀️) I immediately grabbed my phone to google the name of it. It turned out to be Spike Lee's "Da Sweet Blood of Jesus"..Very interesting movie to watch in the middle of the night in a flu fog to say the least.
Like it’s the Mandela effect? I had forgotten this even existed and I watched this flick A LOT
Yes!!
I was a one of those sickly kids, so, it’s literally embarrassing how many times I watched this. 😂
I personally LOVE the obscure movie reviews even more than the more famous ones👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Same
Me too
Every time you do the Prince "UUH" cut, especially here where Corey Feldman hit his face on the microphone, it just sends me into an uncontrollable laugh. I absolutely love all of your videos and thank you for making my time at work just a little less boring! 🥰🥰🥰
That makes me laugh so much too🤣
The Prince UUH absolutely sends me, and I look forward to experiencing it in every video, as many times as possible.💜
Agreed. And the “Stop that” one 😂 💀 every time
She didn't do that...
5:06 Jaime is always just kidding around when she sings, but she still sounds better than I ever will 😭
She's a really good singer. I'm always impressed
This was awesome!!! Please please consider doing “Babes in Toyland” starring Keanu Reeves and Drew Barrymore. It’s a crazy fever dream and perfect for the Christmas season!! Love you and your videos!
Yesss. My favorite movie growing up! Haven’t watched it as an adult though… might ruin it for me LOL
I love that movie too! Pat Morita is in it too, right?
Definitely! That movie is so wierd i forgot all about it 😆
@@larawilliams3615 yess!! I totally forgot he was in it, he’s the toy master!
Ahh yes!! It's SO good! I live in Ohio and as a very young child learned to spell "Cincinnati" because of that movie 🤣😂🤣
Fun facts: The guy that got the locker full of lingerie is Blake Lively's brother. And Stella? She played Molly Ringwald's bestie on 16 Candles - the one that says "my brother paid a buck to see your underwear."
And don't forget the one teacher played by Larry Linville, AKA Major Frank Burns from M*A*S*H!
Thank you for this
love that movie
Also, Eaglebauer is played by Michael Cerveris, who appeared on Fame and now performs on Broadway. I'm sure this film is prominent on his resume!:)
OH. MY. GOSH.
I saw this on late night TV once when I was super super sick and I was convinced for the longest time that it was a weird sick-induced-psychadellic dream i had cause no one else had heard of it!!!! Now I know for sure it's real 😂😂😂😂
Keep on keeping on, Jaime! Love ya ❤️
I didn't see anyone mention it, but maybe I missed it: Doctor Vadar is played by Mary Woronov, who played the principal in the original. She was in a whole bunch of Andy Warhol and Roger Corman movies. She often starred next to Paul Bartel, who regularly played her husband, including in his own film Eating Raoul. She's had a really fascinating career.
Also I had no idea I'd actually seen this until watching this video! I have so many weird memories of this film and I had no idea what they were from--and I had no idea they were from the same movie!
Intrigued ✨Now, I’m going to watch the films you’ve mentioned.
Yeah! I was hoping someone would point her out. Personally I'm a fan of Chopping Mall and Night of the Comet but I love her in anything.
She was also Calamity Jane from Death Race 2000
Jaime clocked the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” dance TV guys voice at the same time as me and I’ve never felt so seen.
Same! 😂
If anyone has the chance to I HIGHLY suggest seeing him live.
It is a fever dream yet out of body experience all in one wild show. 100/10 will be doing it again.
I would pay big bucks to see him live!
You saw Cory Feldman live?
I actually love it more when you review movies I've never seen. It's an entertaining way of saving me from watching something awful.
I met PJ soles at a convention, and I told her about I discovered the original Rock and Roll High School, and previously had only known about the 90s. She scrunched up her face and goes, "THE ONE WITH COREY FELDMAN?!" I laughed so hard.
Corey Feldman is so daggone ugly 😂😂🤦🏻♀️
Who is PJ Soles?
The 90s one is soggy wet peanut butter mayo sandwich compared to the banquet of deliciousness that is the original
I was obsessed with the original Rock N Roll high school as a kid, but I NEVER knew there was a sequel.
Same here!
ME TOO!! 😲😲😲
The original is so good! I was obsessed as a kid too!
Same here, how did this escape me?
I didn't either
Once again, Jaime covers a movie I've not seen. But unlike a lot of the movies she covers, I haven't even heard of this one. And I'm here for it!
Which movies *have* you heard of?
That throwing of the chips was timed so perfectly
Jamie…my burned out ER doc husband and I are watching this tonight. Omg. He’s laughing….you’re the best. Please please do more!! We love you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am glad he is enjoying the video! I hope you two have a great movie night.
Corey Feldman was in alot of great movies like you mentioned that I love, but my most favorite one he was in is called The 'Burbs.
Classic! One of the best written, funniest, well acted movies!!
@@ricquellamccallum3287 I agree!!
Yes!
Oh, she HAS TO DO THIS ONE!
Yesss! That was the first movie starring Corey I watched on TV as a kid and that one just hilarious! Dark and fun as heck!
I absolutely love all of your videos! Some of your videos ( Cinderella story, Honey, Bring it on, just to name a few) I've watched dozens of times, I never get tired of your humor. Keep the Okay times rolling Honey bc your videos keep me rolling in laughter. Keep up the great job 😊
Agree!!! I have watched the vid about Pop Star like 5 times, seriously. It's so funny. The empty shoe squeaking sound she puts in when people dance always gets me.
Same.
@@yeslek yasss girl, I forgot to add popstar to my list of videos I've watched at least a dozen times. I like the part with the soda can and Aaron Carter says "I guess I ate it already" that cracks me up every time 😂😂😂
@@yeslek I just listened to your cover of Under the Bridge by Red Hot chili peppers and it gave me the chills!! You are an awesome singer, keep going because you have so much God given talent!👑
@@hollyelliott9933 I'm glad you checked out her videos & commented this, because I couldn't resist clicking through after your comment, & I only played a few seconds in the middle of the cover before playlisting it & coming back here for now, but ... YEP. That's good music!!!
You are the ONLY content creator I watch the full ad. You do such a good job for both your sponsors and audience, it doesn't go unnoticed. You are a class act madam.
P.S. My 13 year old and I just love watching your content together. In fact, when you covered "Old", you added a really funny sound byte of a gruff voice saying "Peek-a-boo" when the body floated in scene. We laughed so hard and are still saying Peek-a-boo that way 🤣
That was the best part of that entire vid.
I love Corey Feldman because one of my favorite movies "the lost boys." I even have multiple tattoos of the movie. But Corey had a rough start filming it because he would show up to set drunk and at the time he was around 15 years old. Hollywood messed him up a bit.
Have you been to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk in California where they filmed? If you haven't, go! You will love it. A lot of it is still very similar to when it was filmed. It was also the location of the movie Us.
@pigpjs sadly, I have not but it's a definite bucket list item!!
@@pigpjs interesting fact, thanks!
I saw Edgar in the thumbnail and clicked so fast for this very reason!
RIP Richard Herman😥❤
I'll always have a soft spot for Corey Feldman. Dude was amazing but went through some shit. RIP Corey Haim
The fridge dance scene gave me the best laugh I've had in a while. I am all for weird and pointless scenes like this 👏👏
Seeing this and reading the title made me think of Dream a Little Dream. It is wild. It has both the Corey's in it. It is a switcheroo/body swap movie, and it's just wild. I also believe there is a second one.
Also, fun fact about the first rock and roll high school: it was going to be directed by that guy Phil Spector. You know, that guy that murd*red this beautiful waitress? Yeah he was about to direct the first one, but the Ramones were so sick of the way he would talk to them and how meticulous he was about the tiniest things, and he also apparently tried pulling a gun on them as well. Anyways, I know this is about the second one but I thought that might be interesting to anyone that knows who I’m talking about 😂
I was/am a huge fan of Rock'n'Roll High School, the Ramones, obscure, ridiculous movies, the 90's and the Corey's.... I feel betrayed by myself for not knowing this film existed.
Principal Vadar is played by Mary Woronov, who played principal Togar in the original Rock n Roll High School. The original is one of the greatest movies ever. I think it won the oscar for “best picture featuring the Ramones.”
Mary is a vet of Warhol's Factory, where they called her Mary Might.
What was the first one about?
As someone who grew up in the 90's watching the 2 Coreys and their movies. I seriously never heard of this one. I remember Corey Feldman's Michael Jackson phase that never stopped started in Dream a Little Dream movie.
You should review Girls Just Want to Have Fun. You could do so many squeaky sneakers dance clips haha. I think that has great potential!
Yes!!!
What?? A movie made in the 90's, starring both Corey's, that I had no idea even existed??? 🤯
You just made my night! 💚
I don't want to attempt to watch this for real 🤣
I thought so too and got excited af! Dream a little dream was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid and I haven’t seen it in so long! I hope she does it at some point!
I thought the same thing! Loved that movie.
Corey Haim's in this one too, so you KNOW it's going to be gold! 🏆
right?! **Mindblown**
Seriously- whenever I have a bad day (literally crying tonight) I think to myself, I'll watch Jaime and I'll feel better. thank you for bringing joy! God Bless you!
I love the more obscure movie choices 😆
What’s funny is I loved this movie as a kid and I didn’t realize it was a sequel. You should also look into Dream a little Dream by the Corey’s, there’s a dance montage in it that’s gold 😂
The cover of the title song in "Dream a Little Dream" is bangin'!
Dream a Little Dream 2 is also a fever dream. It involves magical sunglasses
@@alltheravens1873 and a body switch! It’s actually a great performance by Corey F.
I LOVED this movie. For years I literally thought I made it up until one day I looked it up. Will never forget it 😂
One of my favorite movies growing up!
Haven't been this early before. 1 minute after posting. Corey Feldman is my childhood. He's been thru a lot and he deserves nothing but live and support.
I was in love with his bestie, Corey haim
Sorry I’m not going to support him til he drops those names he promised to drop. He’s about as “cool” as “Q” 🤣
He's kept himself relevant on the back of his best friends sexual abuse. He didn't want to support CH when he wanted to tell everyone, he just waited till he died and then took advantage, added whatever abuse he had and has been running with it to 'expose' the Hollywood abuse cover-up! Lost all respect for Feldman, especially watching The Two Corey's and how he treated his best friend then!!
@@gleadhill79 this^^ exactly what you said!
@@The_Salty_Siren he's full of crap and probably doesn't have enough evidence, which he may have had if he supported his best friend when he needed him, when he was alive! Still, at least he's been getting yet another paycheck he wouldn't have got without riding the CH milk wagon!!
I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW HAPPY IT MAKES ME TO KNOW GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN FEAT SJP AND HELEN HUNT IS ALSO ONE OF YOUR ALL TIME FAVE 80S MOVIES. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
The principal was played by Larry Linville, who also played Major Burns on MASH (one of the best tv shows ever
I am less than 2mins into this, and I know, I could have died quite comfortably without knowing this existed.
Lol this is very relevant for me right now. My sister and I went to see him perform last month for shits and giggles and it was…an experience. He’s still doing his very best Walmart Michael Jackson
lmaooooo underrated comment
@@s_h_o_o_b_y 😂😂
I just let out the grossest laugh
that's funny because he kept going back and forth on distancing himself from him on the child molestation allegations
I’m so glad the RUclips algorithm brought this video to me. I’ve been binging Corey Feldman cringe content lately. He’s comedy gold and doesn’t intend it or even know it. That makes him so much funnier. 🤣
10:50
Feldman’s stage show hasn’t changed. 🤣😂😭
I absolutely lived for this movie when I was a kid! It was the weirdest thing I'd seen and I couldn't get enough!
Omg Jaime! (if you see this)......"License to Drive" both Corey's, Heather Graham, Richard Masur, Carol Kane.......it does not disappoint! 😉
This is your deepest cut yet, I didn’t even know that Rock n Roll High School had a sequel
Was that the one with the Ramones?
@@chloesismey731yes it was!
Oh my goodness, I thought this movie was a bad dream I had as a kid because nobody else has ever told me they’ve seen it too! Thank you for this review! Your movie reviews are my favorite things in all of RUclips land!🤩
That rock and roll high school song has lived rent free in my mind for years. Now I know why 😄 I completely forgot this movie existed! What a trip down memory lane.
22:45 It's Frank Burns from the 70s Korean war sitcom MASH! Larry Linville. Holy out of context, Batman. This movie truly is metal as all heckity heck 🤘
Thank God someone else recognized him too!!!
You have introduced me to so many movies and I can't thank you enough for exposing me to *real* cinema 😂
I am beyond excited that you referenced Girls Just Want to Have Fun. Please do a reaction video for it! If nothing else, Lynne Stone's fashion deserves recognition.
The note at the end that people don't click on obscure movies, those are some of the best ones! Plus, you're always funny so worth a watch regardless. ♡
Jamie's video sponsorships are literally the only ones that I never skip through 💗
It could be the most boring thing ever and I'd still adore her explanation on the importance of notebook paper...(wide ruled of course) 😆🤣🤣🤣
disliked cuz college ruled all the way!!!!!
Agreed!! Whenever she says it’s a commercial break, if it’s her, I totally watch it. If it’s just regular ads I skip ‘em like a boss 😂
This movie has a special place in my heart; it was my _favorite_ movie as a kid. I adore it (except maybe for that creepy teacher/student thing). The goofiness, the weird humor, the total unpredictability, all the great characters...it encapsulated the awesome, weird, experimental media of the 80's and 90's and I miss that so much. In the 2000's, things started to get too commercialized to be as weird and fun anymore. And now that I know there's a doc on this movie, I'm gonna have to track that down.
Also, you gotta watch the first movie. Such a classic. And the Ramones were in it!
"High school sure has changed since they kicked us out." Rest In Punk, Joey
I'm not an expert in this stuff, but the difference in media from then and now, as I see it, is this. Back then there was only the movie industry and new comers had to to thru the traditional way to get in BUT companies made more lower and mid budget movies so could take a few chances. Now with social media creators kinda have more resources at their finger tips (if they can buy them) and the industry only makes UBER expensive movies and takes way less chances. Also, The 90s (and this was just the start) definitely had an appetite for the wild and wacky!
Thank you for reading this thesis for then vs now from an elder millennial, lol.
I am a new Jamie French fan...and already excited for each new video. She is such a funny and nostalgic vibe. 💖
It's been 9 months. You're not new anymore. Now you have to edit this comment
15:05 A Canadian band called The Pursuit of Happiness (TPOH) that was heavily promoted on MuchMusic (Canada's version of MTV) and radio to meet Canadian content regulations. They never really sold many cassette tapes or CDs as they weren't any good. They checked a content box for the media that otherwise would've ignored them.
i loved this movie!!!! it is one of my favs while growing up. It was 91 so I was just shy of graduating high school myself. such a blast from the past. i hope i can find it when we move again. i spent money on this dvd because i had to have it.
I had such a massive crush on Corey Feldman as a kid when I saw The Lost Boys
"Walmart Michael Jackson" made me snort laugh. 😂

I absolutely loved Rock n Roll High School from 1979. I didn't even know there was a sequel!
It never ceases to amaze me how you notice EVery subtlety to make fun of, and it’s always hillarious 😂😂. “Leafy Shoulder Pads”…I laughed through the entire review! 😂
I had no idea this movie existed. I love Corey Feldman movies!! I love your reviews of these older movies we all forgot about or didn't know about!! Girls Just Want To Have Fun is my ALL TIME FAVORITE movie. I rewatch it every chance I get. I need to just buy it.
Lmao Corey Feldman is actually coming to my hometown in a week…..the meet and greet is only $125 so obviously I’m gonna be there. I’ll let you know how amazing it is:)
Jaime, this was one of my favorite movies growing up and I cannot thank you enough for doing this! I will be sending my sister (whose bedroom was wall to wall Corey Feldman) the link to this.
I totally forgot about this movie! It's such a trip but yeah, I was mildly obsessed with it when I was in high school. It's even weirder than I remember.
Lol taking out the music and putting in shoe squeaks on the floor is hilarious
Sending love from KC ❤
I saw this movie when I was pretty young, never knew the name of it.. I would ask other people if they knew the movie and would describe the frog dissecting scene to people. They would look at me like I was out of my mind. I finally remembered the name of it (and that Corey was in it) and I'm so happy you're reviewing it here ☺️ 💕
Same! I love the frog dissecting scene
9:51 Rock TV and Dance Tv lmao I remembered it right away too lol The guy who played the host of RTV and DTV is Richard Blade he was a famous DJ on KROQ in Los Angeles . “Heartache to heartache we stand” 😂😂😂😂 damn you’re always a riot but you were just in the zone in this video so so frickin funny. I hope 80’s chick comes back in future videos!
Nah. I like when you review older films! It’s the best, they’re so corny too sometimes the jokes write themselves. I also really love how you keep things extremely light on this channel 🙃 it’s just nice to know nothing crazy dark is going to happen while watching hah I know that’s random but I dislike how some RUclipsrs do that on a whim to be edgy or wherever. The 2 Coreys filmography is a complete fever dream and I urge you to check out more of them. They're all hilariously dated and bad but wonderful. Driver's License, Just One of the Girls, Fast Getaway, there's so many.
License to Drive is so good! I still quote it. I really thought this was going to be a review of Dream a Little Dream. I saw that in the theaters like 5 times 😂

Your reviews are so entertaining! It seems like this movie was like a fever dream.
Jamie, have you considered reviewing late 90’s early 2000’s lifetime movies? The other day I was watching “She’s too young”, I couldn’t stop laughing with the music choice.
Yay! Jamie is back to make our days better!
Why was ‘Girls Just Wanna have Fun’ such a huge part of my childhood I remember me and my sister watching it at least 40 times in one summer that we spent at my grandmas!! we just happen to find a VHS at her house and we only had that or a Richard Simmons workout tape (which we also enjoyed not gonna lie) we popped that sucker in and it changed our lives. Lol. Not even in a cringy way we actually enjoyed it hahaha! So glad we weren’t alone out there in or around 1998.
Dr Vadar reminds me of a mixture of the grand high witch from the witches and trunchbull from Matilda 😂. These movie just oozes cheese.
The original was a huge staple in my childhood. I grew up in a family that was obsessed with rock and metal music. The movie “struck a chord “ with me 😉. Still does! I’m 34 so I’m ancient!
