There's nothing wrong with automatics but I don't want to go through the whole transmission swap process. I did find 1 manual but it had a blown head gasket and only goes like 30 miles without breaking down haha. Other than that, down here in SoCal they are pretty hard to find. I have my eye out just in case any pop up

The miata can be shifted with just my pinky finger. Short and precise like clockwork. My IS has a much longer throw but absolutely no slop in any way. It's satisfying like working a rifle bolt. I love both shifters.

Being a manual IS300 owner I am stoked about this build! That noise at the start sounds like the blend motor located behind the glovebox, a common problem on these cars. Get well acquainted with the my.is forums and Facebook groups to build your network for troubleshooting as well as sourcing parts. Not a fast car by any means but with proper mods they handle like a dream and are a blast on the backroads.
I came for the IS300 but you got me with the baby. You’re handling the loss with grace and blessing the rest of us with sound, thoughtful advice. And you’re right, no matter what pain might come into your life, you’ve got to have faith and push forward. I’m reminded of Isaiah 41:10. Anyway, as an adoptive father myself, I know the joy of adopting a child and highly recommend it.

About a year ago I pulled the trigger on an IS300 after hunting for one for a while. Had to go all the way to Orlando (from Wisconsin) to find a super clean one. Absolutely love the car. Been wanting to build it so I am very excited to see this build series!
BN Kit , BC coil overs ,alteza grill , wheels , Nardie Steering wheel , quick Release , full exhaust from header back , header , intake , mishimoto radiator / slim fans / light weight pulley set / duck bill molded trunk , recaro or bride seats , sway bars , polly bushings , Led all bulbs , we are like wise shifter extendor , flock dash , strut bar front and rear . Tune up , oil change / plugs / some ideas @evanshanks Excited to see this build !!
Dude first time I watched one of your Vids and i know that look you had on your face when you first drove her because I am in the UK and somehow managed to find an all original untouched low mileage is300 in that beautiful dark blue 2 years ago and I still have that same look on my face everytime I drive her. I will never sell mine and my son is eagerly waiting for me to hand it to him one day. They are a legendary car and so is the 2jz and your right owning well maintained 2jz engines is a really wise choice. Anyway it was great to watch your vid and don't you guys give up, you will make a beautiful baby together, it's just nature doing it's thing right now because the body knows. I never gave up and I have 3 beautiful 20 something year olds now that I couldn't be more proud of. Love the is300, respect the 2jz and peace to you all x
My aunt and uncle took years and years, with a few failed attempts, but when they were able to move here to the US they've had success, and now have 3 very healthy boys. There is a plan, God bless you both.

That's the thing that I feel you need to realize. You are a dad. I know you've lost 2 babies, but for a time, they still existed and they are your's. It doesn't matter if a baby passes at 8 weeks in the womb or 8 weeks out of the womb, you will never stop being their dad.
Monsterservice kit for is300’s look amazing, it is bolt on flares but I have seen people mold it into the body and it looks really clean. For bumpers I wouldn’t go with BN kit, TRD Neo v1 or v2 kits are really nice as well as HKS kits (discontinued, but replicas are available)

Unfortunately it’s an auto but it’s got the sport shift in the steering wheel(kinda like paddle shift) which I haven’t seen in any other is300’s yet but it’s been almost a week and I love it, so smooth and comfortable to drive, glad I found these vids!🤘🏼

As I do own an aristo / gs300 myself they can be fun if you do simple fuel mods and a turbo right up until the clutches slip (autos handle 400-450 before they start dying)
Im a Subi guy at heart but, Ive always loved the Altezzas. Id wrap it yellow and black with black powder coat on the wheels. Can't wait to see what you do with this little monster.

I think you should do a squared 17" wheel setup with offset bushings and FA510 coilovers. You can fix 17x9s that way. A NA-T build with oil squirters added and a AR5 trans will be a 500whp beast
My dude, please tell us you haven't forgotten about your commitment to a clean EK hatch. When you do, please make it CLEAN, and but in a B16 from an SI.
You may not even see this but you could do a full vertex kit or the elixir kit, or mash up different brands for fun. The BN Sports kit seems a little played out but you do you man, love your videos

Every dash after 01 is terrible, they melt and the plastic smears everywhere so I'd recommend buying a 2001 dash and replacing it

As I do own an aristo / gs300 myself they can be fun if you do simple fuel mods and a turbo right up until the clutches slip (autos handle 400-450 before they start dying)

I think you should do a squared 17" wheel setup with offset bushings and FA510 coilovers. You can fix 17x9s that way. A NA-T build with oil squirters added and a AR5 trans will be a 500whp beast
