My Is300 is fast, has comfy heated leather seats, looks awesome, RWD, fits into parking spaces, has a first aid kit, the spare is a spare and not piece of shit saver, has a sun roof, GPS and heated mirrors. If I want, I can bolt on turbo and get 230KW.
I had an is300 for 19 years and it was the most reliable car I ever had. just sold it last year and upgraded to an 2014 STI and my is300 did way better on gas then the STI

You've been mis-informed. My IS300 with 16" winter wheels & snow tires is as unstoppable as a Sherman tank. Better grip than my 4x4 SUV in snow and easy to control too. Regarding mileage, my 5+speed gets 23 mpg in mixed driving on 89 octane. The rest of your "Cons" list is trivial. Sticky dash is simply cosmetic + easily fixed. A sixth gear might help improve mileage during hwy cruising, but is totally unnecessary from a practical standpoint. They are uber-reliable and a blast to drive. That's what really counts.
@@ppopovich2847 You're right, tires make the majority of the difference. Your mpg seems unrealistically high though, you must baby it the entire time. My best combined is like 20 mpg with the occasional pedal to the metal.
I have an 04 is300 sitting in the driveway and totally felt that mpg. It literally sucks gas and you get to watch the gage stay at 0mpg until you let off the gas.
I like is300 community better than the sc300/400 community. SC community is just a bunch of old guys with luxury builds that think they're rich for owning a Lexus.
Unrelated and no one probably cares but my idea for an LS is an LQ9 block with 4.8 crank, and rods with the LQ9 6.0 pistons, bringing my cubic inches go somewhere around 336 or 333, I dont remember exactly. Also I know I can just bore out a 4.8 block to the 6.0 bore width but I feel a LQ9 will have a stronger block. Even considered a 5.3 aluminum block with the 6.0 piston bore. For heads I want to say 706 was the code I decided on. I'm that guy on year 2 still trying to work out the math Lol. Intake is Holly lo-ram modular intake, stock truck injectors, upgraded ignition obviously, stock truck ecu, it does work and take/read boost, borgwarner s366 or s466 turbo(again I forget)for like 600 bucks, water intercooler, hooker ls turbo swap log with custom cross over. And a t56 that'll handle like 800hp and 1000ft lbs because you never know. Lol oh and turbo cam with specs i haven't fully worked out. Anyone willing to chip in and discuss this seriously with me will be greatly appreciated because I always enjoy gaining help.

I bought my IS in 2014 with the intent to swap. Then someone offered a swapped car. Now I have 2 one stock and one tuned. Both can beat a sienna. And both are extremely reliable.

I call it to this day as the Toyota Altezza from racing games like Gran Turismo 2.What it’s known as in Japan. But nonetheless, that’s how I found this car and I’ve just loved it ever since. I would love to own one someday

I traded a 04 crv with 80k miles for an 01 manual straight up, years ago. Theres a video here on the tube, dude jumps tyco, the day I got it I took it airborn, and from there I spent the next 5 years beating the snot out of it

Cons: teRRible in snow, low mpg, no overdrive for freeway, some cheap cabin materials, sticky dash, rear seats don't fold down, difficult to replace sparkplugs & oil filter.
