I know your like me and the compressor is the number one used tool in the shop. I can't hardly live without mine. I'm glad you got yours up and running again Lloyd. Have a great new year.
It is good to know that I am not the only one that runs into an extended fix time. Haha! One thing for sure.... That compressor should run good now! Good fix, Rusty!
Awesome Lloyd that's a sweet setup.!!... Definitely need to, at least, show some images/voice over with the belt guard building when ever that happens... I installed a ball shut off on my compressor also and love it. With my old rubber hoze it saves life for sure.!! great job as always... thumbs up.!! 👍👍
Thumbs up lloyd ! great compressor , It will last for many years .. I put a ball valve on mine to as it takes the pressure off the hose when I am not using it ..👍👍
You're good to go now. I had to replace my compressor earlier this year, after 18yrs of service it got to knocking really bad and trying to lock up. Luckily my motor is still good tho. Thumb's up, Lloyd!
Glad you got it done, I'll be starting on mine soon. Since the Northern Tool compressor pump that was a perfect size/fit for mine is no longer available, I'm going with the same HF compressor pump that you used. OK Lloyd, get back to work on those Studebakers! 😄
Hi Rusty, looks like you are good to go with 100-plus pounds of pressure. With my humidity I put a water trap on mine as well when I was getting some issues trying to bead blast. Happy New Year!
hello. Replace with a new motor! 5 hp. dual pulley. they work very effectively. The compressor repair is almost complete! Production of belt guard. Hope it works. Thank you my friend.
that should last you a long time now,, something I think I am gonna get soon is one of those automatic drain gizmos so water don't settle in the bottom of the tank.
Very nice job, Lloyd. How loud it the compressor? Is it in your shop? I have mine running in the furnace room because of the noise. Thanks for letting us take a look. Hope you are having a good week.
Woo Hoo you have a new compressor Lloyd!! Well almost anyway. That motor and compressor should last a long time. Do you still have the auto drain system on it?
Thanks Ken, Looking forward to giving the compressor a real workout. The auto drain fitting on the bottom of the tanks started leaking so it got removed.
Thanks for sharing Lloyd.
Thanks Ron, appreciate it. Have a great New Year
Instead of a belt guard, I built a sound dampening closet for my compressor. That thing is loud! Great work Lloyd!
Thanks Marsh, a closet would be best and wouldn't be that hard to do . Have a great New Year
That looks like a great set up for that air compressor. Tjat should last for years to come. Thanks for sharing Lloyd.
Thanks Larry, I'm looking forward to using it and getting some work done without having to wait on it.
A very interesting video. Really enjoyed watching. A big thumbs up from Chris and Jane 🎉✨️👍
Thanks for watching
Completion, that is awesome. Well done.
Thanks Dan, I will enjoy having all the air I need.
I know your like me and the compressor is the number one used tool in the shop. I can't hardly live without mine. I'm glad you got yours up and running again Lloyd. Have a great new year.
I agree, I have more electric power tools than I used too. But I always count on the compressor for the real work . Thanks and have a great New Year
Amazing video and the compressor looks great.thanks for sharing

It is good to know that I am not the only one that runs into an extended fix time. Haha! One thing for sure.... That compressor should run good now! Good fix, Rusty!
Thanks Bill, it was a little extra expense but it is almost like new now. It should be trouble free for a long time now. Take care and enjoy 2023
Very good share, big like 👍🙌

Awesome Lloyd that's a sweet setup.!!... Definitely need to, at least, show some images/voice over with the belt guard building when ever that happens... I installed a ball shut off on my compressor also and love it. With my old rubber hoze it saves life for sure.!! great job as always... thumbs up.!! 👍👍
Thanks Pappy, I think I can come up with some type of belt guard without to much trouble. Happy New Year

Thanks George, ended up being more to the update than first planned but it will be good for many years now.
Thumbs up lloyd ! great compressor , It will last for many years .. I put a ball valve on mine to as it takes the pressure off the hose when I am not using it ..👍👍
Thanks Shawn, I ready to enjoy the compressor with all the air I will need for the projects
Really nice work Lloyd, should provide many years of service, :)
Thanks Tom, I agree. I will really appreciate it when I start the bodywork on the Pickup
That'll do it! I use a regulator and ball valve at my tank outlet also. Works quite well for my setup.
Thanks Matt, I like the ball valve. That keeps from blowing the ends off my hoses. 👍
Happy New Year!--luckily I've got Camera Girl to handle all the motor swapping that comes up in my life (all I have to do is cook the eggs)
Happy new year!! CG is handy to have around . Have a great 2023
Great job Lloyd should last for a long long time.
Thanks Noel, it will be well used to rebuild the Studebaker pickup.
That looks like it will make a fantastic compressor buddy!Great work as always!
Thanks very much my friend. Hope Y'all have a Great New Year
Glad you got the compressor going. :)
Thanks Gary, it should last a long time now.
You're ready to roll now. Nice fix Lloyd. A guard is a good idea.
I agree Pat, a flying belt would be bad news for sure. Have a great New Year
Thanks, you too
Looks good brother
I appreciate it
Well That Should Keep You In Air For Some Time!!! Funny How Things Always Go Down The Rabbit Hole In Some Way!!!
Keep Rocking It Out Brother!!!
Thanks Pat, you know how it goes. But we are Flying high now. Keep on Rockin it out
Nice fix on the ol' tank there!! Prices of compressor tank setups are expensive!!
*Have a good'nnn*
Thanks Gear👍
It's always good to fix what you have instead of buying a new one. Happy New Year Lloyd.
It was still cheaper to replace the pump and motor compared to buying all new compressor the same size. This will last a long time. Thanks Nathan
You're good to go now.
I had to replace my compressor earlier this year, after 18yrs of service it got to knocking really bad and trying to lock up. Luckily my motor is still good tho.
Thumb's up, Lloyd!
Thanks Dan, the old compressor served me well but time for an upgrade. Hope it last as long the the original .
It's always good to have the compressor in tip top shape! Looks like you're ready to go.
Thanks Greg, it will serve me well. Take care
Glad you got it done, I'll be starting on mine soon. Since the Northern Tool compressor pump that was a perfect size/fit for mine is no longer available, I'm going with the same HF compressor pump that you used. OK Lloyd, get back to work on those Studebakers! 😄
Thanks, the weather has warmed back up a little and I'm set with the compressor working like new now. Have a great New Year
Learning!
Thanks for watching along
Creative engineer New friend 👍🔔 cheers 🥂

Hi Rusty, looks like you are good to go with 100-plus pounds of pressure. With my humidity I put a water trap on mine as well when I was getting some issues trying to bead blast. Happy New Year!
Thanks for the tips! Have a great 2023
hello.
Replace with a new motor!
5 hp. dual pulley.
they work very effectively.
The compressor repair is almost complete!
Production of belt guard. Hope it works.
Thank you my friend.
Thank you my friend. Yes , I need to get started on building a belt guard next. Safety first and have a great 2023 👋😊👍
When you start a project, you don't always know how it will end. Good job Lloyd. No test run?
I had no idea the motor was going to crash but after installing the new motor it is working great. Thanks PAPA
It has to be cheaper than a new one ..It is a good choice to have a regulator for your air going to air lines in the shop and hoses
Thanks, I looked at compressor prices and like you said I'm still well below the price of a similar unit.
Wooow, excellent video and channel ✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️
Keep going on with your great videos ✌️✌️✌️
I'm just subscribed 😊👨👩👦🇸🇻
Thank you so much 👍
Looks good buddy hope you all have a happy new year Lloyd
Thanks Jeff, very Happy how well it all turned out. Wish you and the family a Happy New Year
that should last you a long time now,, something I think I am gonna get soon is one of those automatic drain gizmos so water don't settle in the bottom of the tank.
Thanks, I had a HF auto tank drain and it worked good for a little over a year. After that the valve started leaking . Good luck on you project
Hello there Lloyd!! That compressor is top of the pot now buddy!! I like the dual belt drive. That should last forever eh!! Take care!!
Thanks Mike, I think I will never have to replace the belts. The dual belts should really limit slip and wear
Looks awesome. Do you get a lot of condensation in your tank , I'm constantly draining mine.
Oh yes, I have to drain it often. The humidity is almost always high here. It's a real treat when it's not. Thanks Steve
PAPA will be in Houston next week for the Houston Rodeo BBQ Contest!
Sound like good time ahead.
That'll keep the wind up.
Thanks ZIG, looking forward to trying it out on the Studebaker truck.
Very nice job, Lloyd. How loud it the compressor? Is it in your shop? I have mine running in the furnace room because of the noise. Thanks for letting us take a look. Hope you are having a good week.
Thanks Bruce, the sound is not bad at all. that was a big selling point for this compressor was the low noise level.
What type of copper pipe did you use? How thick?
I'm using the refrigeration grade tubing that should handle the pressure the compressor is operating at. .
Hey rusty glovebox wanted to ask u what’s the btus of your mr cool unit also does your mr cool unit heat your shop too
🤔🤔👍👍🎄🎄
Thanks Mel, the compressor is back in business
another of your videos that youtube did not send to me
Thanks for hunting it down Bob, Take care
When you start a project, you don't always know how it will end. Good job Lloyd. No test run?
I hear you, but it's as good as new now...lol. Thanks
