Well all this info is right on. I have been to Thailand for the first time this past year. Went twice for 5 weeks each. It is life changing. I am 68 yrs old, have very good genes and I am in very good shape. I am very polite and do my best to be a real gentleman to any women I meet. It goes a long way. I don't drink, or party too, so my money goes a long way. Stayed in Pattaya area and didn't go in a bar once.I enjoyed the company of freelancers while I was there and it was just as described. Such pleasant company, fun, sensual, unrushed. It was like a fantasy, it was. I never felt more alive ever in my life. The people, the food, the beaches, daily massages and company every other day. Made some nice friends already and that includes a couple of the freelancers. You treat them like the beautiful women that they are and make them feel safe and some will just stay over for the night. Your choice at the end, but no extra money. There are many opportunities to date regular women but attachment and jealousy happens quickly. When you pay for their company you don't have to worry about that so much. Even when one girl wanted to spend time with me for free after paying her previously, I said no and paid her. Because quickly a jealousy situation could happen, especially with Thai women. I live in California and the women here are angry, unfriendly, overweight and entitled. I am celibate here. Feminism have turned them into angry, damaged, expired goods. Thai women are real women, even the younger women. Going back for five weeks starting in September. Worse part is getting home. Where else can I spend $3500 for a five week vacation, airfare and resort included and do all the things I just mentioned, plus more. Crazy stuff. Every visit will get better and better, no more learning curve.

Really good prices too. 15 dollars a night for most rooms. I plan on staying there again even though my taste for rooms is a lot better than these, because of the cute resort itself. I had a problem of deciding which one to take and it actually sometimes backfired as it was early morning and some nights I slept alone 😂 1. Never ask a Ute/bath bus that runs up and down beach road and 2nd road mainly as they are 10 bath only. If you ask your price is at least 200 bath so don’t ask just hand them 10 bath and walk off. Some routes 20 bath but ask passengers rather 2. Never as Daz says mention them you had their friend the other day. They know it 99% but as soon as you mention it they lose face and you get into trouble. That’s means just keep quiet 🤫 3. Do not buy any drugs it’s no brainer. 4. Just have fun be respectful and don’t get aggressive. Some guy might bump or try to start a fight with you, just keep cool and talk to security and it ll be all fine. 5. If you want to rent a motorcycle please 🙏 get international drivers permit from your country and GET International Medical Insurance for travel that covers motorcycle accidents. But if you don’t have a license please don’t rent any motorcycle. Also don’t ride when you’re drinking. 6. Make sure you stay in a hotel that takes girls id as you take her to your room and give you a call as she leaves. Your safety is no 1. 7. Be very careful when you try to match from online dating. I was just there in March '23 and you are exactly right! It's almost like they all take the same course on how to extract the most cash from customers. The first thing they all ask is how long will you stay, then they find a way to show you a picture of their kid being raised by grandma back in the village, then they say they hate their job and they need a man to take care of them. I had watched a lot of these videos before my trip, but even though I knew the game I still found myself falling in love with one girl, another week there and I would have been a goner. One month, went all over from the Thai Stadium to the many Buddha palaces! Met many girls, & had no problem with the 1 to 2 day max! Didn't consider my self hard, but see it for what it is. I went to pattaya in 2015 "lookinf for love" pretty much fell in the trap, Almost convinced myself full well knowing she was a bar girl didn't matter i was blinded. The girls really are good at what they do. luckily no money was involved, went back the next year almost fell again. Apologies if these have been mentioned before: 1. If a girl you are with wants you to go to a bar and meet some friends they probably work in that bar so any drinks you buy will be lady drinks and charged accordingly. 2. Don't be tempted to play pool against anyone for a large bet. Even if you seem well matched or even if you fancy yourself as the better player he is probably a hustler. Surprisingly this happened to me in BKK. Last match of the night, we had probably won an even amount of games and he proposed a last game for 5k baht. I finally got talked into 1k by him and the girls and he changed into a much better player. The surprising bit is i floocked many shots and managed to win! Guy was not at all happy and even got aggressive.

I would like to add a little more on Credit or Debit card. Bring enough cash in your home money for your stay and change it for THB here in Thailand. Only change enough at the airport (their exchange rate is terrible) for the taxi ride to your hotel. There are many, many money changers in Thailand and they are very competitive. If there is a Super Rich exchange near you use them as they normally have the best rates. Only take enough money for a night out and leave the rest in the room safe along with your wallet and PP. Never leave valuables in full view in your room.

It really isn't being there for the first time that is the problem. It is the extremely emotional hit/letdown when you get back home (like any good vacation but x10) and the depressed feeling when immediately trying to figure out how and when you can get back. It will to a certain degree/subside or become more manageable after a few trips. Just relax when you get back home and say Pattaya will still be there in a few months or even next year, "relax."
I have this problem. I've had a really fun time with a bargirl 2 nights in a row. I had the best sex in my life with her and I'm going back in 2 weeks. Be careful and don't "fall in love". Some of these working girls are really good actresses and can make you believe they are genuinely into you but it's all an act. The can be very manipulative and skilled of milking every little penny the can out of people with various trix and sob stories. Stealing is also a thing to watch out for back at the hotel room.

I've had so many bad experiences in the country, but have to admit that I must have been lucky with the girls. Never had one try to fake girlfriend me or ask to sponsor them. There have been small and very transparent attempts at trying to extract small sums from me, but I always smacked those down early, or... sometimes id give them the cash once to see what would happen. It usually worked out fine. Like one girl asked if I could give her just a 1000 baht to go home and see her family, which I did. She was happy enough that she sent me her twin sister as a reward. One thing I will say is that getting a genuine girlfriend will almost always be more expensive then just staying with a bargirl. Don't do it. Even if the girl is staying with you for free, it will end up costing you in the end.
I may have gotten luckier because I avoid taking girls from Soi 6 and Walking Street, try to stick with the more normal girls from regular beer bars or ThaiFriendly. ThaiFriendly is also a great tool that ever first timer should look into.
I remember my first visit to Pattaya and my first words to my mates were, Where the F××k have you brought me. So many ancient, fat old falangs wearing sleevless tops, dirty shorts and flip flops. Pattaya is a toilet but so many beautiful places within 15 minutes of the town centre. I dont mind spending a couple of days there each visit but i couldnt spend all my time there. Thailand is beautiful with so many places to see and the people are amazing. It is the vast majority of falangs and ex pats that make me avoid Pattaya as much. It is still worth a few days to have fun but everybody should try all of Thailand as well. So many different experiences 🍻🍻🍻
Great Daz. As an experienced visitor, I can confirm everything 100%. I'm looking for GFE, this doesn't exist in the same form here in Europe. My tactics during the last 3 stays: I have TWO girlfriends at the same time, who I take turns meeting up with. They know about each other and accept it. I love both so much that I can't choose one. This is how I avoid becoming a sponsor. They've never asked for extra money so I guess I'm very lucky with them. However, it was not so easy to find them, there were a number of failed attempts before that.

Been coming to Thailand since I was 26, the best advice I can give is don't bother with bar girls full stop, it's so easy to pick up decent local girls, I.e. doctors, nurses etc, who actually want to pay for your holiday there! Just pull what the bar girls pull, in reverse and you have a cheap holiday with gorgeous girls.
NOTE: Both health insurance and long term visas can be costly especially depending on age. Under 50 health insurance approx $300 month and elite visa $17K USD for 5 years, 60K USD for 20 years. Over 50 insurance gets increasingly expensive factor $500 month-up and retirement visa must show either 65k THB/$1900 USD month income or 800kTHB/$23,000 USD in a Thai Bank account 3 months prior to applying. Many do get other visas such as education visa to learn Muay Thai, Thai Language etc but this is a short term solution and they're cracking down on abusers.
Great video Daz and everything you say is 100% correct. I've been coming to Thailand for years and I know how it works. Saying you are a butterfly is the first thing you should do indeed. That saves a lot of hassle. Don't stay with a girl too long is a golden rule. When I was in Jomtien in March I met a nice woman there. Not one of 25 but someone of 40 yo who looked good. I'm not 20 myself anymore and although the young girls are great to look at, I choose something a bit older these days. From 35 approx, they are more experienced 😜. I ended up in my hotel room and I had one of the best nights ever in Thailand. This was a real GFE like at home! She had qualities and she visibly and palpably enjoyed our time together. Some things you can't hide. 😜 I ended up going out with her a few times and it was always great. The next time I go to Thailand, we'll go to Koh Chang together for a holiday, that's what we agreed. Am I in love with her? No! Am I going to sponsor her? No. I'm going to Koh chang with a girlfriend who speaks Thai who is good in the bedroom and who is also super cheerful and a nice woman to hang out with. Subtly, like all Thai women, she sometimes lets you me that she needs money (I'm still in touch with her) but I just don't go into that. If the holiday is canceled, I would not mind at all and will find something else on Koh Chang. If we go together, I think I can have a great holiday. She is mature, neat and well-groomed, not a walking comic book because of all her tattoos like many have etc. She has lived in Switzerland for ten years, does not speak English but she speaks German which I also speak so we can communicate well. After all these years in Thailand, I experience this for the first time. I think it's a good idea to cherish this. She knows how I feel about it and that she shouldn't expect anything serious from me, but she likes a free holiday to Koh Chang of course just like I like free company. This is also a way to deal with Thai women. I am single and I would like to keep it that way.
Spot on on the tips. I was lucky enough to hook up with a nanny for a British family on holiday. she bought all the meals and stayed at her room at the hotel. Had an absolute blast there, for 3 days. Working girls are REALLY sly though, so you do need to be on guard.

What a great video this is. The 1 day rule is the best as you say, but and it’s a big BUT…….it’s actually very hard to ditch a girl you like after even 1 day !! My first trip in 2012 I intended to follow the 1 day rule. I did for 5 days but then I met one I couldn’t ditch lol. She stayed for my remaining 17 days. I didn’t regret it, those days were like paradise. Yes I missed her when I came home but unlike some she had already told me she could never leave Thailand so she never asked for sponsorship. I think what makes it difficult for guys is they go home to the west and its very different its like climbing a mountain once its achieved its a low point because the goal or journey is over and you want that feeling again instead of starting new adventures. I think the key here is not to fall in love. Ive never understood why guys fall in love in pattaya they know the score these days. The 1 day rule is a must. You want love stick to the west. 30 years ago while working in India I used to visit Thailand for scuba diving. I got to know some of the girls at a bar on Soi Cowboy. They were very funny and after they found out I wasn't there looking for women but just fun they got me to teach them all the English needed to get a foreign boyfriend sponsor or 2 or 3! I still know one of these women now retired. We laugh about those days.

I've lived in Vegas and been to Pattaya many times. The difference is in Vegas in order to get the companionship along with the sex you're going to pay an astronomical amount while in Thailand it will set you back much, much less. In Vegas and the U.S. the women are businesslike and don't really try to get you emotionally hooked like they do in Thailand.
Pattaya Veteran here. Got the VISA and all that implies. I agree with most of comments made however, there appears to be a fear factor within his advice that may be disconcerting. But im of the opinion that the kind of guard, defenses and situational awareness you normally keep up are not really necessary because the kind of threats you have at home are not here in Pattaya. Im talking personal safety and security. So the only thing you should worry about IMO, is getting your heart broken or having to take significant cash advances out of your credit card because you want to continue to have fun. Its ok, to let go of the routines you have back at home for a while. Your body, mind, and spirit will thank you for the break. its ok to fall in love for 2 weeks but like he said; don't get emotionally attached because the women will get grip you hard, like an octopus. Talk about a predicament.

My first time was in Oct 2011. Booked a holiday in Thailand for 21 days; wanted to stay in Pattaya only for 7 days & then travel around; but in the end stayed the full 21 days there. Since then have returned 13 times. Best place for single guys in the world !!!!! Comparisons to Amsterdam, Vegas (totally ridiculous) or german FKKs [brot*+ls]] are ridiculous !!! Biggest risks: you turn insane there or you go bankrupt. PS: Will fly from Frankfurt to Pattaya tomorrow for 28 days .... yeeeeehaaaaa !!!!!!!! ✈😜👍👧🌞🌴

I disagree with the credit card stuff, all cards now have "charge backs" by law. (I'm talking uk cards) So if you card is used where you didn't use it, it's REALLY simple to get a refund. So so easy, you just say it wasn't me and that's it. What you didn't mention is when paying by card "Some bars, cafes" will charge an extra 7% on top of bill, but they have to put money through books, so the 7% will be the Tax due. This obviously doesn't Inc 7-11 or Big C But I find myself using card more and more these days and the only place I have been scammed is UK 🙄 Keep up the great vblogs, I do that walk route, there and back most days, takes about an hour, great exercise 👍
How true is all this, wished I'd known this back in 2008 when I first went there for 2 weeks there in Bangkok and Pattaya, coming from Australia. My experience ended up with one Thai girl, her family, a lot of money and a 9-year marriage which ended in divorce back in Australia in 2019. Yet it was such a wonderful experience which, now living alone and old, haunts me day and night.
I'd say a 9-year marriage, even if it cost you a lot of money and ended in divorce, much more proves that you can violate the 1-day or 3-day rule with great results if you are lucky enough, than it proves you would have done better if you'd known this stuff. Be happy you had the experience, rather than being haunted by it. You did what you wanted to, as everyone should.

I see you now can order massage on-line to come to your hotel or condo. There are pictures of very nice maseuses on the net. Do you have any experience you can share on that subject? Yes, treat the whole of Pattaya as an entertainment venue and everyones in on it. Nothing is free...yes cheap and a great time, but not free. A retired expat I befriended while vacationing there said "It's Disney Land for your penis and the rides are never free no matter what some people may tell you".
I paid a bar fine (actually…someone else did) she gave me a ride on her scooter and we went to a club, I had her haggle some cheap touristy stuff for me, and stayed the night in a cheap motel but it was pretty platonic. I wound up involved with someone older (likely married) that managed a coffee shop that gave me a lot of sage advice at a much needed time, and she had me meet her friends and went out to eat as a group. I actually enjoyed the live bands at night there more than hanging at the bar playing that Shut The Box game
This video had great advice on how to not let women trap you. I'm from America and I wish I would have gone to Pattaya when I was in my 20s so I could have learned these lessons. But sadly I did not and so I've gotten married and divorced and had my money stripped away from me twice. The women in Pattaya will not take you down as low as an American wife.
Just to add - be careful when your latest fling handles your private parts. Nails & vigorous handling can (accidentally or deliberately) result in your protection splitting at the crucial time. Take care and/or pull out to avoid this hassle!
As a 1st timer newbie, lesson learned : these girls don't give a shyte about you. Girl bars are money pit don't go there. As if it wasn't enough 1 girl they bring their girlfriends to ask for drinks with big smiles. Hard to say no, but I was a sucker throwing money in drinks, drinks, drinks and just companionship. If you still want bar girls, observe well before picking one. 2 They are extremely jealous and can be checking on you once in a while. 3. Freelancers better options for LT just meet them for a drink first to make sure she is not a psycho😅. 4. You may get bored easily with these ladies they have little to no education so don't expect deep conversation. 5. They are experts at making you feel loved and special so play hard but don't fall for any of them.
SO ABSOLUTELY TRUE . First time 25 years ago had an absulute gem Supatara Surum and she was a "real " girlfriend but unlike the rest she made it clear after 2 weeks she had a good time and prevented me to become a sponsor but after that addicted to pattaya !

i was there last year at the beginning of the high season. ups: reasonable prices (especially transportation cost), friendly and hospitable native people, a huge variety of bars/entertainment, everbody minds his own business (nobody disturbs others). downs: although the beaches look excellent (even on this video) the water is dirty (therefore nobody swims neither in pattaya nor in jomtien) - so what's the point in going to a beach side holiday destination and not swimming ?, there's an island or two, but far and the weather shouldn't be windy, gotta return early etc., men are much more than women (because other than native women, you can't find even a female fly, all tourists are male) :) the infrastructure - the terrible smell from the sewer holes is unbearable... even at the entrance of the walking street... and the last negative point is stray dogs. especially late at night they are louder and dangerous.

Havent been to Thailand. But i saw basically the same thing during my year in Korea in 1975/76. Learned the hard way. 1 day rule is best advice. Otherwise you inheret all sorts of unspoken obligations. Can you find true love? Depends on how smart and discerning and lucky you are.
I shared similar advice with a friend of mine, told him to watch your videos and he did, but he is still breaking all the rules. Some people are just programmed to be taken for a ride.

Some people can break the "3 days" rule and still be not damaged too much 😉 If you think about it, the heartache is a price of a kind that we have to pay for real emotions. Sticking to the "3 days" rule we have no emotions involved which is sad to the extent of pointlessness. Letting ourselves to fall in love, if even for a vacation time only, we experience life in its full beauty (and pain).

Well all this info is right on. I have been to Thailand for the first time this past year. Went twice for 5 weeks each. It is life changing. I am 68 yrs old, have very good genes and I am in very good shape. I am very polite and do my best to be a real gentleman to any women I meet. It goes a long way. I don't drink, or party too, so my money goes a long way. Stayed in Pattaya area and didn't go in a bar once.I enjoyed the company of freelancers while I was there and it was just as described. Such pleasant company, fun, sensual, unrushed. It was like a fantasy, it was. I never felt more alive ever in my life. The people, the food, the beaches, daily massages and company every other day. Made some nice friends already and that includes a couple of the freelancers. You treat them like the beautiful women that they are and make them feel safe and some will just stay over for the night. Your choice at the end, but no extra money. There are many opportunities to date regular women but attachment and jealousy happens quickly. When you pay for their company you don't have to worry about that so much. Even when one girl wanted to spend time with me for free after paying her previously, I said no and paid her. Because quickly a jealousy situation could happen, especially with Thai women. I live in California and the women here are angry, unfriendly, overweight and entitled. I am celibate here. Feminism have turned them into angry, damaged, expired goods. Thai women are real women, even the younger women. Going back for five weeks starting in September. Worse part is getting home. Where else can I spend $3500 for a five week vacation, airfare and resort included and do all the things I just mentioned, plus more. Crazy stuff. Every visit will get better and better, no more learning curve.

Really good prices too. 15 dollars a night for most rooms. I plan on staying there again even though my taste for rooms is a lot better than these, because of the cute resort itself. Pics of rooms are deceiving.

Went to Thailand in 2001. Scuba diving was fantastic. Bar diving too. Still married to my girl 20+ years later. Not easy at the start but overall wonderful. I learned so much from Thai culture, not one regret.

5. If you want to rent a motorcycle please 🙏 get international drivers permit from your country and GET International Medical Insurance for travel that covers motorcycle accidents. But if you don’t have a license please don’t rent any motorcycle. Also don’t ride when you’re drinking.
6. Make sure you stay in a hotel that takes girls id as you take her to your room and give you a call as she leaves. Your safety is no 1.
7. Be very careful when you try to match from online dating. In Pattaya nothing is free. I’ve seen my mate lose an expensive mobile phone for a free 😂 hook up.

I was just there in March '23 and you are exactly right! It's almost like they all take the same course on how to extract the most cash from customers. The first thing they all ask is how long will you stay, then they find a way to show you a picture of their kid being raised by grandma back in the village, then they say they hate their job and they need a man to take care of them. 1. If a girl you are with wants you to go to a bar and meet some friends they probably work in that bar so any drinks you buy will be lady drinks and charged accordingly.
2. Don't be tempted to play pool against anyone for a large bet. Even if you seem well matched or even if you fancy yourself as the better player he is probably a hustler.
Surprisingly this happened to me in BKK. Last match of the night, we had probably won an even amount of games and he proposed a last game for 5k baht. I finally got talked into 1k by him and the girls and he changed into a much better player. The surprising bit is i floocked many shots and managed to win!
Guy was not at all happy and even got aggressive.

I would like to add a little more on Credit or Debit card. Bring enough cash in your home money for your stay and change it for THB here in Thailand. Only change enough at the airport (their exchange rate is terrible) for the taxi ride to your hotel. There are many, many money changers in Thailand and they are very competitive. If there is a Super Rich exchange near you use them as they normally have the best rates. Only take enough money for a night out and leave the rest in the room safe along with your wallet and PP. Never leave valuables in full view in your room.

It really isn't being there for the first time that is the problem. It is the extremely emotional hit/letdown when you get back home (like any good vacation but x10) and the depressed feeling when immediately trying to figure out how and when you can get back. It will to a certain degree/subside or become more manageable after a few trips. Just relax when you get back home and say Pattaya will still be there in a few months or even next year, "relax."

Had been to Philippines a few times prior so was more mature and street wise. I prefer the GFE and had it from some wonderful ladies. Never had a problem when time to say goodbye. As there are so many lovely ladies available for "fun", I certainly did not want to be tied down to one lady the rest of my life. Cannot recall any lady talking about gold. Am forever thankful to be immune to that disease called "Love."

Be careful and don't "fall in love". Some of these working girls are really good actresses and can make you believe they are genuinely into you but it's all an act. The can be very manipulative and skilled of milking every little penny the can out of people with various trix and sob stories. Stealing is also a thing to watch out for back at the hotel room.

I've had so many bad experiences in the country, but have to admit that I must have been lucky with the girls.
Never had one try to fake girlfriend me or ask to sponsor them.
There have been small and very transparent attempts at trying to extract small sums from me, but I always smacked those down early, or... sometimes id give them the cash once to see what would happen. It usually worked out fine.
Like one girl asked if I could give her just a 1000 baht to go home and see her family, which I did. She was happy enough that she sent me her twin sister as a reward.
One thing I will say is that getting a genuine girlfriend will almost always be more expensive then just staying with a bargirl. Don't do it.

I remember my first visit to Pattaya and my first words to my mates were, Where the F××k have you brought me. So many ancient, fat old falangs wearing sleevless tops, dirty shorts and flip flops. Pattaya is a toilet but so many beautiful places within 15 minutes of the town centre. I dont mind spending a couple of days there each visit but i couldnt spend all my time there. Thailand is beautiful with so many places to see and the people are amazing. It is the vast majority of falangs and ex pats that make me avoid Pattaya as much. It is still worth a few days to have fun but everybody should try all of Thailand as well. So many different experiences 🍻🍻🍻

Great Daz. As an experienced visitor, I can confirm everything 100%. I'm looking for GFE, this doesn't exist in the same form here in Europe. My tactics during the last 3 stays: I have TWO girlfriends at the same time, who I take turns meeting up with. They know about each other and accept it. I love both so much that I can't choose one. This is how I avoid becoming a sponsor. They've never asked for extra money so I guess I'm very lucky with them. However, it was not so easy to find them, there were a number of failed attempts before that.

Been coming to Thailand since I was 26, the best advice I can give is don't bother with bar girls full stop, it's so easy to pick up decent local girls, I.e. doctors, nurses etc, who actually want to pay for your holiday there! Just pull what the bar girls pull, in reverse and you have a cheap holiday with gorgeous girls.

NOTE: Both health insurance and long term visas can be costly especially depending on age. Under 50 health insurance approx $300 month and elite visa $17K USD for 5 years, 60K USD for 20 years. Over 50 insurance gets increasingly expensive factor $500 month-up and retirement visa must show either 65k THB/$1900 USD month income or 800kTHB/$23,000 USD in a Thai Bank account 3 months prior to applying. Many do get other visas such as education visa to learn Muay Thai, Thai Language etc but this is a short term solution and they're cracking down on abusers.

Great video Daz and everything you say is 100% correct. I've been coming to Thailand for years and I know how it works. Saying you are a butterfly is the first thing you should do indeed. That saves a lot of hassle. Don't stay with a girl too long is a golden rule. When I was in Jomtien in March I met a nice woman there. Not one of 25 but someone of 40 yo who looked good. I'm not 20 myself anymore and although the young girls are great to look at, I choose something a bit older these days. From 35 approx, they are more experienced 😜.
I ended up in my hotel room and I had one of the best nights ever in Thailand. This was a real GFE like at home! She had qualities and she visibly and palpably enjoyed our time together. Some things you can't hide. 😜 I ended up going out with her a few times and it was always great. The next time I go to Thailand, we'll go to Koh Chang together for a holiday, that's what we agreed. Am I in love with her? No! Am I going to sponsor her? No. I'm going to Koh chang with a girlfriend who speaks Thai who is good in the bedroom and who is also super cheerful and a nice woman to hang out with. Subtly, like all Thai women, she sometimes lets you me that she needs money (I'm still in touch with her) but I just don't go into that. If the holiday is canceled, I would not mind at all and will find something else on Koh Chang. If we go together, I think I can have a great holiday. She is mature, neat and well-groomed, not a walking comic book because of all her tattoos like many have etc. She has lived in Switzerland for ten years, does not speak English but she speaks German which I also speak so we can communicate well. After all these years in Thailand, I experience this for the first time. I think it's a good idea to cherish this. She knows how I feel about it and that she shouldn't expect anything serious from me, but she likes a free holiday to Koh Chang of course just like I like free company. This is also a way to deal with Thai women.

I was in Pattaya in 1993-95. Everything said in this video applied then and am confident applies today. I was always a butterfly and kept drama to a minimum.
What a great video this is. The 1 day rule is the best as you say, but and it’s a big BUT…….it’s actually very hard to ditch a girl you like after even 1 day !! My first trip in 2012 I intended to follow the 1 day rule. I did for 5 days but then I met one I couldn’t ditch lol. She stayed for my remaining 17 days. I think what makes it difficult for guys is they go home to the west and its very different its like climbing a mountain once its achieved its a low point because the goal or journey is over and you want that feeling again instead of starting new adventures. I think the key here is not to fall in love. Ive never understood why guys fall in love in pattaya they know the score these days. The 1 day rule is a must. You want love stick to the west. The ladies here are like a theme park its not yours, you just paid for the ambience of the expirence. But you can not take the arcade games home its fantasy.

30 years ago while working in India I used to visit Thailand for scuba diving. I got to know some of the girls at a bar on Soi Cowboy. They were very funny and after they found out I wasn't there looking for women but just fun they got me to teach them all the English needed to get a foreign boyfriend sponsor or 2 or 3! I still know one of these women now retired. We laugh about those days.
My first actual visit was in 1986, and I was 22 and terrified. I had a lovely girlfriend at home. I had no need of what Pattaya offered, and there was no google to check it up in those days. I next came back in 2009. Totally different. Yes. You can easily get drawn in. 99.99% of the girls are just in business for money. It is not romance. Just keep your mind in gear. She wants your money. There is almost no chance you will meet a 'real' girlfriend in Pattaya. As long as you remember that, and keep it real, you will be ok. Just watch Daz's various video's and pay attention.
I've lived in Vegas and been to Pattaya many times. The difference is in Vegas in order to get the companionship along with the sex you're going to pay an astronomical amount while in Thailand it will set you back much, much less. In Vegas and the U.S. the women are businesslike and don't really try to get you emotionally hooked like they do in Thailand.
Pattaya Veteran here. Got the VISA and all that implies. I agree with most of comments made however, there appears to be a fear factor within his advice that may be disconcerting. But im of the opinion that the kind of guard, defenses and situational awareness you normally keep up are not really necessary because the kind of threats you have at home are not here in Pattaya. Im talking personal safety and security. So the only thing you should worry about IMO, is getting your heart broken or having to take significant cash advances out of your credit card because you want to continue to have fun. Its ok, to let go of the routines you have back at home for a while. Your body, mind, and spirit will thank you for the break. its ok to fall in love for 2 weeks but like he said; don't get emotionally attached because the women will get grip you hard, like an octopus. Biggest risks: you turn insane there or you go bankrupt. PS: Will fly from Frankfurt to Pattaya tomorrow for 28 days .... yeeeeehaaaaa !!!!!!!! ✈😜👍👧🌞🌴

My first time was in 1980 and was lucky as I was with a group of mates and we had a body count competition going for the four weeks there , so it was seen more as a business transaction, every visit after that six in total the girls were always treated as a business transaction and never take them to your hotel room I always ask them if they know a good clean short time hotel & they always know one close by 😎
Over the years I have stayed at 6 different (no chain) hotels in Pattaya, always paid with my credit card and never had a problem.
I disagree with the credit card stuff, all cards now have "charge backs" by law. (I'm talking uk cards) So if you card is used where you didn't use it, it's REALLY simple to get a refund. So so easy, you just say it wasn't me and that's it.
What you didn't mention is when paying by card "Some bars, cafes" will charge an extra 7% on top of bill, but they have to put money through books, so the 7% will be the Tax due.
This obviously doesn't Inc 7-11 or Big C
But I find myself using card more and more these days and the only place I have been scammed is UK 🙄

How true is all this, wished I'd known this back in 2008 when I first went there for 2 weeks there in Bangkok and Pattaya, coming from Australia. My experience ended up with one Thai girl, her family, a lot of money and a 9-year marriage which ended in divorce back in Australia in 2019. Yet it was such a wonderful experience which, now living alone and old, haunts me day and night.
I'd say a 9-year marriage, even if it cost you a lot of money and ended in divorce, much more proves that you can violate the 1-day or 3-day rule with great results if you are lucky enough, than it proves you would have done better if you'd known this stuff. Be happy you had the experience, rather than being haunted by it. You did what you wanted to, as everyone should.

Yes, treat the whole of Pattaya as an entertainment venue and everyones in on it. Nothing is free...yes cheap and a great time, but not free. A retired expat I befriended while vacationing there said "It's Disney Land for your penis and the rides are never free no matter what some people may tell you".

I paid a bar fine (actually…someone else did) she gave me a ride on her scooter and we went to a club, I had her haggle some cheap touristy stuff for me, and stayed the night in a cheap motel but it was pretty platonic. I wound up involved with someone older (likely married) that managed a coffee shop that gave me a lot of sage advice at a much needed time, and she had me meet her friends and went out to eat as a group. I actually enjoyed the live bands at night there more than hanging at the bar playing that Shut The Box game

Just to add - be careful when your latest fling handles your private parts. Nails & vigorous handling can (accidentally or deliberately) result in your protection splitting at the crucial time. Take care and/or pull out to avoid this hassle!

As a 1st timer newbie, lesson learned : these girls don't give a shyte about you. Girl bars are money pit don't go there. As if it wasn't enough 1 girl they bring their girlfriends to ask for drinks with big smiles. Hard to say no, but I was a sucker throwing money in drinks, drinks, drinks and just companionship. If you still want bar girls, observe well before picking one. 2 They are extremely jealous and can be checking on you once in a while. 3. Freelancers better options for LT just meet them for a drink first to make sure she is not a psycho😅. 4. You may get bored easily with these ladies they have little to no education so don't expect deep conversation. 5. They are experts at making you feel loved and special so play hard but don't fall for any of them.

i was there last year at the beginning of the high season.
ups: reasonable prices (especially transportation cost), friendly and hospitable native people, a huge variety of bars/entertainment, everbody minds his own business (nobody disturbs others).
downs: although the beaches look excellent (even on this video) the water is dirty (therefore nobody swims neither in pattaya nor in jomtien) - so what's the point in going to a beach side holiday destination and not swimming ?, there's an island or two, but far and the weather shouldn't be windy, gotta return early etc.,
men are much more than women (because other than native women, you can't find even a female fly, all tourists are male) :)
the infrastructure - the terrible smell from the sewer holes is unbearable... even at the entrance of the walking street...
and the last negative point is stray dogs. especially late at night they are louder and dangerous.
I have seen other women in other videos from all over the world but mostly with there Holiday partners or friends

Havent been to Thailand. But i saw basically the same thing during my year in Korea in 1975/76. Learned the hard way. 1 day rule is best advice. Otherwise you inheret all sorts of unspoken obligations. Can you find true love? Depends on how smart and discerning and lucky you are.
I shared similar advice with a friend of mine, told him to watch your videos and he did, but he is still breaking all the rules. Some people are just programmed to be taken for a ride.

You actually stuck a cord in me, because you are 100% right in the reason she used the "I am die in 6 months". I never actually thought about it. Getting drunk doesn't suit me. You are one of the reasons I am quitting weed and alcohol for the entire month of May and hopefully longer. I appreciate your brutal honesty, sometimes its exactly what we need to hear. I will come back to the comment when times get tough and I need the motivation.
