Bobby, I'm hoping you review the comments, you are a true inspiration. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. FWIW You've had a profound positive impact on my life. I truly thank you for sharing your deeply emotional music!
Come on RUclips people give this guy (and the band) credit, they are fantastic musicians (FWIW)Bobby's work has been the soundtrack of my life, never experienced such deep, heartfelt emotion as Bobby conveys through the sax, the rest of the band members are all stars! Kudos to all, in particular Curtis Lundy and mulvgrew miller!
Man, so appreciative you posted this, I cut my Jazz teeth on this. Bobby Watson is an outstanding artist and was my gateway into the world of jazz,, beatitudes touches me deeply everytime I hear it. Wow!
Wow Bobby Watson's Beattitudes was, and still is, a important part of life, the emotion through that sax is intense, you can feel the trials and tribulations he's exploring, Mulgrew is amazing on piano (as always, RIP). Curtis is tight on the percussion. Watson is a straight up guy, teaching in Kansas City cc I believe
I seem to be the dominant comments here, the pure emotion and tribulations bobby is exploring, working through is so deep Never experienced so much emotion.and personal exploration come through a piece of music ..... One of the most under-rated musicians. Curtis Lundy and (sigh) the late Mulgrew Miller are amazing!
Wow, seems to by my third comment, looking a tad like a fanboy! Was always impressed with the pure emotion bobby conveyed through his sax, the rest of the band (in particular, Curtis Lundy (extremely tight) and of course our dear late Mulgrew Miller on piano, when he passed a bit of me did too :-( ) The spirituality in his music shines through...,
Wow, Kenny Washington on drums was amazing! Bobby and Mulvgrew are always in my top of list. Bobby exudes so much emotion, such a straight up guy (teaching) and amazing person were lucky to share our lives with!
Morning is when the wick is lit. A flame ignited, the day delighted with jazz
and light, we start the "Beatitudes" for something more than before
