FSD 12.3.4 First reaction to v12 software from V11 tester.

That notation aside this was incredibly impressive
My 2021 Model S (portrait display, like yours) finally got the 12.3.4 update today. Everything is dramatically better than 11.4.9. I think our portrait hardware was one of the last to get the update. Your RUclips video is the very first portrait-FSD demo I've seen, and I've been looking for a few weeks. 🙂
No problem glad you found something useful at my channel. Currently there's another one processing via RUclips probably should be up in about another hour but probably not at full resolution. And yes you're right her portrait Hardware or actually Legacy snxs we're at the end of the line. But admittedly feels worth the wait.

Just fyi. It is not written by Ai. It's a neural network. A series of nodes that take inputs like camera feeds, map data and car telemetry, then output commands based on trained weights to the car's control system.

So you are saying that FSD cannot examine a scene carefully, then think, reason, and analyze. Like a human.
Neural nets collect tons of data, then look for patterns. FSD will never be capable of thinking, *on* *the* *spot* , like a human being.
Bro that was an excellent explanation thank you , I misunderstood it when they said it dropped from 300,000 lines of code to 3000 lines of code. So you're saying the 3,000 lines of code are actually just artificial intelligence code. Got it thanks for the input I'll try and make a correction on my next video

Today mine went out of lane at 60miles/hr on double continuous lines twice not reducing the speed, I was ready to take control and I did, it's crazy since I had enhanced previously and never did that before

A bit unrelated, actually re numbers in subtitles: you said at the start clearly "12.3.4". The subtitles read:"12.3.3". How can this happen in this automatic labeling?
Although I don't control that that is very peculiar, I wonder how that comes across maybe the way I pronounced it or something.

I think older S/X are skiping right to this version. I have a 2019 model s and went right from v11 to this version after hearing yesterday it was going out to employees

Did it do well for the rest of the drive?
No. I just drive from Tombstone Arizona to Sherman Texas then home to Colorado Springs using FAD as much as possible. There are times it was outstanding, others a dismal failure. In Dallas it made several lane changes in heavy traffic. In the country I still had some phantom stops and lane changes for no reason. Camps out in left lane after passing which is illegal in all 50 states. In Texas there are signs that say “left lane for passing only”. There were times when I pushed the stalk to move back to the right lane and ignored the command, other times it took several seconds to start moving over even though I was well ahead of traffic. The car made lane changes to pass when well over a 100 yards behind the car in front of me and some of these occasions it took 2-3 minutes before I caught up to traffic. Unnecessary lane changes can be cancelled by turning off the turn signal. The car missed a lot of speed limit signs especially going in and out of town. In town car was often doing well over the speed limit even when using the scroll wheel to slow down. Sometimes the car spotted speed limit changes and ignored them. Went to dinner last night and the car waited till the last second and slammed on the brakes even though I saw that traffic was slowing long before the car reacted. The car did brake a fraction of a second before I pushed the brake. FSD still has a long way to go. It does ask why you disengage FSD and allows you to send a voice message.

I've been a lonnngg time beta tester and noticed they pushed it out to me very early on when the version compatible with my vehicle was available. What vehicle do you have?
@@WilliamDeanPlumbing 2023 MY long range- 4 months old. Hardware 4 with cabin cam. On the advanced update track along with thousands of others.
@@darklen14 oh wow surprised you don't already have the free demo version. Maybe go into Tesla app and request service and select software, might just end up pushing an update to you if you advise them of your new vehicle. Probably take several hours to come through.
@@WilliamDeanPlumbing actually I tried that already and they replied that you will get an update sometime in the near further. Also note that you can’t select anything software related as an issue as the app connects the car to their server and checks for software issues then you can’t finish your request. I had to lie about out a hardware issue then had a text conversation the next day. There are thousands of others in the same boat. 🛥️

Teslas full self driving software.
Well, Full Self Driving (Supervised), to be precise. Requires full time attention of a human driver, to override immediately if needed. Driver Assist functionality, in other words...though it's assisting about as much as possible, and this version seems to need very few overrides in the videos I've seen.

Can you tell me if highway is still on v11 stack? People are speculating but as you sound so well researched, what are the facts?
@@paulmeynell8866 12.3 was not on highway 100%, as far as we know for now, this isn t eaither. We ll probably know in the next few days
While not being the most specific and accurate information, as a general base he wasn t so far. Also it was litterally 2 sentences. I ve heard much worst!
