    Fox, Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Pennington, (Penn, ) Barkley,; Lay, Woolman, Rowntree, Jones...these sound like worthy people.
    I once sat in some meetings of the Church of the City of ___. (One city, one church like in the New Testament). Their worship was very like the early worship of the Quakers: Sitting in a group until somebody was moved to speak. There was a harmonious rhythm to it.
    A problem I have with modern Quakerism is the only two POTUS who came from a Quaker background: Herbet Hoover and Richard Nixon. Hoover did have some redeeming accomplishments
