I always thought Garrick was a heavy tackle species until 20 year's ago i move to Gordon's bay in the cape. Seen bigger Garrick and me personally landed plenty on 9 ft spinning rods ans 4 000 grinder in quicker time with the fish being fowled hooked. My most was 17 in one. Evening smalest 6kg to 19.1 kg biggest.
Iam a leaner fishermen going 1year now..i teach my autism daughter which is 8years old ...if shes on with a big fish i with never take the rod away from her..same with me if iam on with a hig fish i wont want anyone telling me what to do..i mean come on now thats the best part for a learner to be on and try and handle the fish ..if i lose it then let it be..
Top video bro but I must be honest, I'm a rock Fisherman I caught plenty big fish in-between the rocks and I can tell it take skill to land big fish amongst the gully's. I noticed fisherman that frequently fish in blue lagoon for Garrick are just so full of pride when the hook up I watched the way they behave as if they are top dogs , well to the guyz that fish in the lugs for Garrick, let me tell you something Garrick is a easy fish to catch . They swim top water left or ryt any one can land one but try rock fishing it's a whole new ball game . So to the lugs Garrick fisherman stop swanking and just enjoy the sport . I fished amongst them a few times and il tell you now they are full of shit they are prideful and have no skills or sportsmanship.well not all but a vast majority.
