    Brilliant catch you deserve it. 👏 But let's be honest, you never gave that fish the opportunity to survive this after landing it and keeping it out of the water for so long.

    Hi Oom, I must say you really have that Indian accent when you speak🤣🤣🤣. Did you join most of the Indian okes as you know how to chewn the lingo?😂😂 That's what makes your channel and videos so real. Enjoy watching you keeping it original, like the Dbn style 👌👌👌

    Respect for trying to revive the fish. But you wil have to work on you fish handling skills. You cant drop a big fish like that 2 times on the rocks and expect it to swim away. It was your first GT soIn my opinion it is perfectly ok to keep one. Congrats!!

    Well done very nice fish very sad that breeder fish like this don't survive but at least you must try harder to revive? It takes up to 20 mins to revive big fish like this, I can assure you because I'm also doing fishing for a sport and caught a few big ones that took average 10 mins to revive in deeper water than that.
    Just advise for next time.
    Congrats on the nice fish!

      Thank you, if there was a rock pool I would have kept him in there, but next time I will definately spend more time. It is after all breeding stock.

    SHAME ON YOU! This is the type of angler I tell people not to be. For him, it was all about him and his photo and the video opportunity. Saying he did not make it is laughable!!!! He was correct to say the fish did not make but he Never gave it a change! Look how he treated the fish and the guy who took it from the water! Treating of Fish 101: The fish skin has a slimy protective layer that serve a very specific reason - protection against infections!!! If you carry or treat a fish with your dry/sweaty bear hands you will remove some of the protective layer. So the FIRST PRINCIPLE OF treating fish 101: Always wet your hands before handling a fish! Treating of fish 101 - second principle: NEVER DROP A FISH ON THE ROCKS LIKE THAT OR EVEN ON SAND - AGAIN YOU WILL REMOVE THE SLIME LAYER AND CAUSE THE OUTER SKIN DAMAGE THAT CAN RESULT IN INFECTIONS - ESPECIALLY IF THE FISH WAS TOTALLY EXHAUSTED AND SUBJECTED TO UNDUE STRESS OUTSIDE THE WATER - LIKE WHAT HAPPENED HERE!!! Treating of Fish 101 next principle: If you intend to release the fish (I seriously doubt this was ever the true intention of this ignorant angler - action speaks louder than words), Then you NEVER EVER ALLOW THE FISH TO BE SO LONG OUT OF THE WATER!!!! He should know better! Anyone with even a decent amount of knowledge will know that any animal that fights for so long (you can go and ask people who relocate wild game) AND SPENT SUCH AN AMOUNT OF TIME OUTSIDE ITS NATURAL HABITAT WILL NOT SURVIVE. STRESS IS A KILLER AND IS THE REASON MOST LIKELY THIS FISH DIED! Treating of FISH 101 next principle! After a fish was fought so long (AND IS TOTALLY EXHAUSTED and STRESSED OUT) you need to get it into the water ASAP and HELP TO RESUSCITATE IT. EVEN IF YOU PLACE IT BACK IN THE WATER IMMEDIATELY AFTER IT WAS TIRED OUT LIKE THIS, IT WILL NOT SURVIVE WITHOUT HELP!!!!! So what do you do? You do not do like this ignorant angler - just let it lay on its side in shallow water! No! No! No! You go a bit deeper into the water, holding it by its tail (can use the other hand to keep it upright if it is really struggling, and THEN MOVE IT TO AND THROUGH - THIS FORCES OXYGEN ENRICHED WATER Over THE QUILLS AND INTO THE FISH SYSTEM (MAY NEED TO DO THIS FOR A MINUTE OR SO)! WHEN DO YOU KNOW THE FISH WILL BE READY TO GO?! IT WILL BE STRONG ENOUGH TO SWIM FREE FROM YOUR GRASP! ANOTHER PRINCIPLE (IF YOU REALLY INTEND TO RELEASE A FISH) IS NOT TO USE A TRAILER HOOK (FOR KEEPING BAIT FISH TO THE LINE - THERE ARE OTHER WAYS)! AND IF YOU REALLY WANT THE BEST RESULT (WILL INCREASE YOUR STRIKE SUCCESS), USE A CIRCULAR HOOK - WILL RELEASE EARSIER AS IT TENDS TO HOOK IN THE CORNER OF THE FISH MOUTH - DOES NOT INHALE!

    • @TrueNorthFishing
      @TrueNorthFishing  Месяц назад

      Hi, your teaching is noted. Your inappropriate comments are not welcome...the fact that the person who went to get the fish suffered severe cuts that you dont see... and how would you so cleverly know the intentions of people.
      Dont ever judge people, as it's not for you to judge, teach people, and that will be more appropriated than your personal opinions

    Uncle I am so happy you got such a great catch! Well done! The only thing I want to say about this video is that the fish wasn't handled very well after it was landed. Also holding it by the tail could break the spine with that weight. So I was not at all surprised it did not swim away. But nonetheless nothing wrong keeping one for the pot from time to time, but with the next one, if you intend on releasing it, number one priority must be handling it carefully to give it the best chance of survival 👍🏼

    Great catch, but it has to be said you cannot treat a fish the way you did if you plan on releasing it, throwing it onto the rocks twice on landing, and then keeping it out of the water for way too long, a fish that has been fighting for this long wont survive if not put back within a minute or 2 at most.
    Not criticizing, I just care for these big kingies that have become so rare and want all anglers to realise these fish arent brutes out of the water but very sensitive

A lot of people will have their negative comments but they know nothing of the expenses, time and effort you put in on a daily basis to fish with many days catching nothing. So congrats and enjoy! You deserve it. You have sacrificed a lot for something you love and you deserve this. What a proper Gt! This one is for the Sl50 haters out there, it did the job.

  • @fishermaniac636
    @fishermaniac636 3 года назад +1

    Well done oom. GTs will always put in every last bit of energy they have to reef you so once landed they have no gas left in the rank. A rock pool as soon as it is landed will be the only chance of releasing them safely but even then they still die. Once again well done💪💪
