I did grizzly lake a couple years ago in my gx470 on 285/70/17. Gatekeeper took 3 tries and had to winch higher up on the shelf road when i lost momentum. The views at the end were worth it.
Since that one gladiator also has the stock wheels like me, do you have wheel spacers? I can’t fully turn without rubbing. Looks like you can. What spacer brand and size do you have? Thanks! For the gladiator with 37’s and stock wheels
@@FarFromOrdinary any clue if the 1.5” spacers will work with the stock wheels and 37x12.5 tires? Or do we have to get the 1.75”? Lol. I just want the least tire poke but also full turn lol and less stress on everything
@appalachhaun_adventures I've been running 1.5 spidertrax (front only). No rubbing. If you get spacers make sure they're a quality brand, hub centric and torqued to spec.
Serious question. I see some amazing built rigs and wonder why don’t you just use your winch instead of try more complicated angles at the beginning? Just was wild to see you stacking rocks and mashing expensive jeeps against the same rock over and over again. Winch that you pull right up?
That's a fantastic question. For a capable driver, and a capable rig, approaching obstacles like this is a classic man-vs-himself. There's only one graceful way up, and this varies between rigs. And at least for us, it's about finding the right piece...the right line that requires the least amount of effort. Our rigs are actually built for just this. So what you see happening, is well within the operating limits of the different components that we've installed. Our jeeps capabilities far exceed what we are mentally prepared to take them on, so obstacles like this are in most aspects, an exercise in mental fortitude. In most cases, we'll try 3-4 times and will have no problem pulling line. But people are different! And I won't lie when I say that there's a little bit of pride and ego that comes into play with what we do. Hope this answers your question!
Love My Friends!!!!!! These trips are always special!!!!!!!!!

We had the same setup for years, and ran 1.75" Synergy 5x5 spacers with our stock wheels
