    Been eyeballing this machine the last few weeks now…don’t have the money for it right now but when I do, this one is first place on my list

    Still very happy with my GO after 7 months of daily use. This updated overview from Clive is accurate. ONLY downside I have found so far is no sight glass for water level in tank. The reliability of the GO frees me up to tinker with the other aspects of espresso making, and they are many!

      How well does the steam wand texture the milk? Are you able to get latte art?

      @@Majnun74 Yep, you sure can! The steaming is decent for a single-boiler.

      @@Majnun74 I am not good at latte art, but it is not the GO’s fault. The milk foams well, but I make it too thick, I think. I use half 2% milk, and half almond milk and it tops my cappuccino with 1/2” plus of luxurious foam.
      Good luck with your art.

    Quick question. When my machine heats up the pressure gauge goes up quite a bit. Second I hit brew it drops to zero and then ramps up to the desired brew pressure once extraction starts. I'm confused why the pressure rises the way it does while heating, is this expected?

    • @clivecoffee
      @clivecoffee  5 месяцев назад +2

      Yep, that's completely normal. You're seeing the idle pressure of the machine. Once brewing, that's the pressure being put up by the coffee art the group head. Hope this helps!

      Yes, once you're extracting coffee, it will show the pressure in the brew chamber.@@eduardorocha2860

    I almost bought this. It doesn’t have a good workflow for getting hot water. I do a lot of americanos, which would have made it annoying. They should add a water button, like on the Casa V.

    • @clivecoffee
      @clivecoffee  6 месяцев назад +2

      Honestly, it's better if you can control the temp of the water you use for Americano water. Getting a stovetop kettle is a great solution even for espresso machines with hot water taps. @@hovigmalian4609

      Yeah please do not get an espresso machine for hot water. Dual boilers with a hot water spout just outputs a big sludge of brew water particulates. Either steam the hot water or get a hot water kettle for clean hot water

    • @nelsonnicklebee
      @nelsonnicklebee 6 месяцев назад

      @@Cloudypoo I’ve never had sludge come from my single boilers. They might be different than dual boilers. Water is continuously changed and also not kept at the higher steam boiler temps. Honestly probably not that different than a kettle.

    Pid is not at eyesight, very irritating
    Lid of the watertank is sitting loosely on top of it
    so the cover doesn't fit snugly
    in place
    Extremely loud
    Very poorly built
    Do view how the bodypanels are connected to each other: so cheap
    Driptray is very small
    Watertank is small
