Thanks for your comment I’m familiar with the same details that they gave everyone else regarding that specific case. It’s called VBAI Basically… an artery erupts. It happens after a very specific motion in the neck The neck goes back (extension) and pressure or rotation to the side causes the damage. However, the overwhelming majority of the population can perform this motion a thousand times without even noticing. Almost always, there are pre existing risk factors in the patient who has a VBAI. Atherosclerosis is the primary This is usually a conditions for patients over 60, or people who smoked a pack a day for 20 years. You can also have a VBAI from getting your hair shampooed at the salon in the curved sink they use. In conclusion. There’s only one adjustment that could cause a serious injury. And most chiropractors don’t use that maneuver on anyone. Let alone a patient with risk factors. Which is why the statistical evidence for this incident is in strong favor of RARE or UNLIKELY. My guess… that patient was on the ED spectrum. Or had another soft tissue or bone weakening disease.
