Yes, I would like to see a new SC but what I think killed SC was the story or the game of SC5. It massacred a lot of potential for SC and it didn’t help it make a lot of sales, people like Mark Yoon speculate it will be released next year or 2026. I would like it to go to back to the medieval fantasy style tone like they did with SC1 to 3 instead of the Fantasy/MMORPG style

Has to be because of the story, because the combat system of SC5 feels fantastic (offline at least) and the creation mode is quite expansive
@@coelophysisbauri4070 The creation mode was Peak literally 😅 if anything SC6's creation mode is more expensive in my opinion but like just takes more creativity and hands on skills with creating etc.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I really liked the addition of Groh. I thought he had a fun play style.
gameplay was fun, I just can't get past his design, even by Soul Calibur standards 😆

Bloody Roar even though it is already in the works and Dark Stalkers could use some more love nowadays.
SoulCalibur 6 happened so I'm in no doubt also that another one will come our way sooner or later.

Tekken's director was the director of the last soulcalibur, alongside another person who left the company after finishing the last soulcalibur.
There's no one available to work on the game. The reason sc6 was done and plays as it does, for better or worst, is because of the tekken director.
Soulcalibur is no longer a fight game; with all the "one button to win" mechanics, it plays like a party game or a very underdeveloped action rpg. If they release a new soulcalibur it will be even more casual.
Harada isn’t really a part of SC, he’s the background guy or just helps SC not a full director
There are mods for soul calibur 6 by violent vodka on youtube to the characters kits and even new characters, there are also cosmetic mods by other people. I think reversal edge or whatever that infinite parry into rock paper scissors garbage semi killed the game ngl.
I recently got my hands on a Steam key, so I'll have to check out those mods! Also, I agree. I'm not particularly fond if the Reversal Edge system. I think Tekken 8 had a better application of that system
I have no doubt that SoulCalibur VII will be made. They kinda have to since we're in the 9th generation of gaming. The 5th generation had SoulEdge, the 6th generation had SC, SCII & SCIII. 7th gen was SCIV & SCV respectfully, while the 8th generation only had SCVI.

Micro-transactions is something inherent to any fighting game nowadays, you just have to accept it.
