It is a great one of a kind product for discovering healthy recipes for dog food minus the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cooworker finally got cool results with it.
I feed raw, and it really changed my dog from itchy and tired to active and happy (tho still a bit itchy lol!) I really trust you, you’re much less stubborn and objective than some others. My pet is a dingo too, so dog food really didn’t suit him at all haha!
I read a paper on dogs and what they eat in the wild. it was a high protein 32% and 30% fat, and it was supposed to be for over their life span. I dont know. In the survey the study dogs went for the high protein and fat.
i would have liked to hear how much protein is consumed by our dog's wild counterparts, since i think that would be the best level for most of our dogs. Like, i would imagine a wolf's diet is 90-99% animal with the rest being roots and berries, but how would that translate to a nutrition label? I feed raw as much as possible (they get the extra roosters that inevitably happen from raising chickens, up to 3 or 4 eggs each/day with their kibble and offal anytime we harvest an animal) but I have no idea what the actual figure it is that they're getting. During times when they're primarily on kibble, I choose ones such as orijen (80% protein from animal sources, not sure what the end dietary level is but i think maybe 40%?) or acana puppy (i choose puppy because it has 10% more animal source protein than the adult formulas, so 70% versus 60%). When talking about qualities of the protein and the fact that our dogs are carnivores and should eat more meat than anything else, should we even concern ourselves with a specific percentage when feeding with this in mind? Considering, too, that it takes both girls two days to consume a whole chicken each versus the 4-8 pints each of kibble they would have consumed otherwise during the same period (basically eating less than half what they normally would)? Thanks :)
I just changed my little senior terrier to a great food called Weruva Caloric Harmony. She has done great on it so far, but after watching this I'm concerned it may be too high in protein for her. it has 39% protein and 14% fat. Dani Marsh My Black Lab Puppy is on V-Dog and sometimes Halo Vegan when I forget to order V-Dog in time. I'm not to thrilled about the canola oil because of the negative things I have heard about it. I'm not sure if I could make her food to meet all her dietary needs without any deficiencies. How/What do you do for your dog so everything is nutritionally sound? How much time does it take to get a few day to a week made ahead of time? How much does it cost you? Thanks😃
I've never checked if it cost me more than buying dog food buying fresh ingredients. the only thing I made in advance was soaking nuts and seeds to have them ready for a week and then would make the food fresh daily. I was just looking what ingredients are in the dog and give that in fresh veggies and fruits add lots of sprouts and green powders to it to add nutrients.

channeloflight Please Check into V-Dog or Halo Vegan Recipe. My Puppy Is on mostly V-Dog with some Vegan Halo, and she is 9 months and doing way better than when she was on the blue buffalo food. I asked questions online, asked the company that makes the food lots of questions, and did TONS of research before I felt comfortable switching her over to a vegan food. There is evidence of many breeds of dogs breaking the lifespan records expected and they were vegan. HI im from south korea, raising the breed of bulldog and american bullies. these type of dog in usual we feed high protein and high fat diet ( we feed with dog food and raw meat, egg, and vegetables ) and we make them run twice a day. is it good to have high protein dog food ? i heard some not accurate news that dog food contains over 20% percent of fat and protein respectively, is it better to only give a animal fat or is it better to mix with vegetable protein? and how much amount of fat and protein a day is proper for bulldog breed (please tell me like one eggs a day or 300g of raw meat for twice a day) thank you in advance . if you have other opinion of this breed please tell me it will be so thanksful :)
Thanks again for another great video. I am feeding my dachshund/Shiba Inu mix ACANA Grasslands...which has quality primary ingredients...but it is 33% protein and has a high calorie content in comparison to lesser foods. Is this necessary for a little lazy doxy? He is 6 months old. I notice that ACANA "Singles" (one meat source) are in the 25% to 28% protein range. I wonder if that is more suitable? Is there an advantage to feeding a dog multiple protein sources such as lamb, duck, egg, quail etc vs just one source? Thank you!
Hi and good question- That sounds like a great food, and I would be inclined to stay on it. Likely though not as impt for small breed. You can consider changing protein sources/rotating every 3-4 months.
Hi Dr Jones, I have 2 Rustle Mixes and 2 Yorkies that are finicky eaters and hard to please. My five year old bitch - unspayed - has stayed at a steady 8+ kgs - her head is no bigger than a cats - body size Lhasa Apso - her father was a pug/boston terrier. She is a rescue - had her from 7 weeks old. She is a very picky eater and although I buy her the very best kibble "Lily's Kitchen" - she is still picky and won't eat her kibble unless it has fillets of dried duck breast added - she also has beef topside from the supermarket and carved turkey off the bone also from the supermarket (for humans) she likes a small amount of cheese and occasionally will eat the yoke of a hard boiled egg. Yes - she costs me a small fortune - but she is my one luxury. I do home cook lambs hearts for her and chicken livers and grill chicken breasts - I add carrots and peas and sweet potato. She has pedigree chum gravy bones (3 a day) and a chicken drumstick" and a "greenie teeth cleaning bone" all in all she is ruined - appears very healthy - but is she having too much protein? She can polish off 3 thin slices of topside - beef - ditto turkey. Of course this is what happens when you are widowed and live alone - they become your surrogate children. And yes she sleeps on my bed - where else!!!
Our Vet told us to never ever feed our Kitty any Human Meats. She said; Spitfire can have only canned Kitten & Cat food, so we do, .. but the Vet said; she can have Tuna & mainly Salmon. We noticed canned Tuna, packed in Water makes our Kitten get Diareaha!!! But... the Vacumed packed Salmon she never gets Diareaha, we mix it in with her Cat food, she eats a heaping TBSP of Cat food, she refuses to eat wet canned chunky cat food. She will only eat all the different flavors of Pate's Turkey, Mixed Grill, Chicken, Beef. Question; how much should we allow for her to eat of the wet Pate's per day, per meal. All canned foods are Friskies... and we always keep the dry Kitten Chow out for her all day, & all night long. Any protein that is not used can be converted to carbohydrate just like humans this not a good thing. Keep your dogs off wheat, rice etc. Greens need to be blasted in a mixer and added to food at about 20% This is not for the dog this is for the bacteria in the dog. They produce chemicals that the dog can use its a symbiosis most people forget about.

@@daniellevscls5182 it’s ridiculous isn’t it Danielle. How vets have us chasing our tails about what to feed, when, and none of them agree on what’s best. Makes you angry. There are never any simple solutions. My pet doesn’t always like raw food. And they have to eat.
Thank you!:-)
Thanks
And how many chapatis are required per day for a German Shepherd female of 5 years

I’m scared my dog ate a whole gigantic slim Jim protein and now she’s just laying around omg😭
My dog eat very often my cats food. Is it dommageable ??
no - it is OK
I feed my 3 yr old spayed 15 lb terrier mix earthborn holistic lamb food, 26% protein 1 st ingredient is lamb meal . She does wonderful on this food. High energy but she has her lazy times too. Her teeth are wonderful, hair and skin are great and very small stools. I feed this because it's made local my area sourced within 50 miles to my home. 28 lbs of food will last her 5-6 months.
Great choice Mary
Why is my beagle always hungry but won’t eat his kibble and he is a bit over weight
Most likely because his kibble is full of corn. Dogs love meat, give him more meat and exercise and you will have a happy and healthy dog.
was wondering if you could do a video about importance, sign of anal gland issuse, please.

I hear you
Our Vet told us to never ever feed our Kitty any Human Meats.
She's a long haired black Kitty.
***Please let me know., as I will be waiting for an answer.
* Also what State & City are you all in? We don't have Snow at all!!!
* You might need a few bags of thick big chunky Salt, & maybe even a blow torch to melt the ice & thick packed Snow off of your Sidewalks Wow! Snow already for y'all wow! Time to get the Firewood for the Winter & hopefully a Wood Burner or Gas Fireplace, something. I herd its going to be a rough cold miserable Winter. Make sure you have plenty of Candles, our lights went out for 4 hrs in 2014 Winter, I stayed in the Bedroom with our Cat Gizmo, we kept each other Warm & Toasty. I hope & Pray our new Kitty & I never ever go threw a whole night ❄☃️☔🌩freezing 🌧like that, cuz we can't afford a Wood Burner or a Gas Fireplace. 🔥Keep us in Prayers.🙏 Burrr 🙏 I am not looking forward to this Winter.❄☕🌩⚡☔❄☃️
It depends. Ideally you stop the kibble, and only feed canned.
My dog is one and his old owner had him on high protein dog food I switched him to puppy food he is a pit lab mix he is throwing up his it his new food causing it
Can i feed my dog with whey protein? Im using gold standard whey
Is there a human insulin that can be used to replace Caninsulin?
Hi, In practice we used Humulin N
Did I hear “wife” no way dude!
Can I give my 5 years old German Shepherd female boiled chicken everyday in every season for protein please answwr
Yes- great treat
Any protein that is not used can be converted to carbohydrate just like humans this not a good thing. Keep your dogs off wheat, rice etc. Greens need to be blasted in a mixer and added to food at about 20% This is not for the dog this is for the bacteria in the dog. They produce chemicals that the dog can use its a symbiosis most people forget about.
Where is the science please?
THE NEW NOGRAIN FORMULA GIVES MY DOG CONSTIPATION. PLEASE ASK THE COMPANIES TO CHANGE BACK 2OLD FORMULA WITH GRAIN ADDED FOR FIBER...DO RESEARCH
What are your recommendations for a raw diet?
Hi, If it works for you and your dog, then I suggest feeding Raw
@@VeterinarySecrets do you recommend any tinned human meats to get the protein,
I would have liked to hear how much protein is consumed by our dog's wild counterparts, since i think that would be the best level for most of our dogs. Thanks :)
Hi, The only real way is to then feed a primary Raw diet, with 60-70% protein, along with veggies
