This is Jesse Weston's translation and you have made an incredibly haunting Audiobook. The translation is better than Tolkien's, who put too much effort into making it sound like plain language and missed much of the poetry. (Certainly It would be fair if you listed the translator's name if not n the credits then in the description).
1:40:57 Sir Gowen was spared because he was a real honourable man and didn’t fuck his hosts wife like a true bro😎🤙 but still felt bad for excepting a gift from her. Classic story but doughy that the recent movie adaptation is as faithful. But I’d like to watch it.
The movie isn't exactly the same, but I thought it was utterly fantastic - the esoteric symbolism and archetypal roles of the characters were perfectly conveyed. Deep lessons on being authentic and becoming individuated, and some heavy Jungian stuff going on.
When men were men and knights were chivalrous, catholic medi evil times when Saxons invaded undefended Britain and paganism took hold. And the roman catholic court retreated to Wales.
good work but my goodness... this is fantasical propaganda for chivalry and masculinity.. well, thank you for helping me do this reading assignment while I work
@@lejspul7655 actually I brought it up with my professor and he told me I was right and why. if only I remembered! this was 10 months ago. but this story was to influence people to behave a certain way

Such a great narration. Clear and powerful.
Loved this audio book. Your voice is really soothing and relaxing. I loved it.
Oh, Lord Dunsany and now this: you are getting closer to Tolkien and I like it. You are an excellent narrator!
Not sure I'll ever do Tolkien, but thank you just the same!
Great! Just what I needed. This is very easy to understand!
I appreciate you having granted pleasant words and a tasteful tale upon me.

I AM the braver knight. I went into this completely blind of who I was. I died and there is no circus praising my name upon resurrection.
thank you for reading this literature for us, as you have made my 3-4 reading of this piece much shorter
Great story
What translation is this? Great performance btw
I really wish there was a version with no background music, I have a disorder that makes it hard to separate sounds in my head 😅
Amazing 👏🏽
Awesome
thanks bro
your voice is so beautiful
Very well done.
