"Imagine if you were assigned the task." Couldn't agree more. All the holes in the book descriptions that has to be filled in to create a complete world. They did such an impressive job!
I play with you but it’s so great to see also this kind of content on your channel! The devs have crafted a magnificent Middle Earth and that is the main thing that still hooks us all here. Keep it up! 🇮🇹
For me it's the following: 5. The camp at the south guard ruins in Bree-land. 4. The hidden glades in Dunland and Enedwaith. 3. Top of the stairs leading into the 2nd Hall. 2. Gapholt. 1. Far Chetwood. With honorable mentions to every Floyd and Dewitt vista.
I remember being amazed at how awesome Dol Guldur looked when Siege of Mirkwood was first released. Lotro's rendition of the fortress is much better than the disappointing rendition we got in the hobbit movies. In general, lotro has done a great job with all of the iconic locations of Middle Earth; I can't think of a single iconic location that was depicted badly. I agree with this top ten list.
As an xbox player, my reaction to every scene in this video is "aw man." I do this to myself every now and then. Become completely enthralled by an open-world that I can't explore. Last game was Shadow of the Colossus (PS exclusive). But THIS game. From what I've seen the world is more vast than anything I've ever seen. And for 15 year old graphics, the high render distance just adds to the feeling of sheer openness. I saw months old articles talking about it being ported to console, but that's probably just rumors. I hope not though.
This game is really beautiful for how long it's been around. The world is one of the best parts about Lotro, truly an incredible adaption of Middle-Earth.
I'm in the same boat as you. Always wanted to just play a game where I can explore the whole of middle earth but the game needs to grasp the sheer size of middle earth. I hope one day this will get ported over to console. There is a new lord of the rings game being made so I'm hoping this I gonna be an open world game to explore
I still think its the best game created out there in overall. It can suck u in for months and years. Its just extremely huge and gives you so many posibiliies to do. Ofcourse it has some irritating things and bugs or bads, but you will see it mostly just at the end game. Nothing is perfect, but still all those locations can be visited and explored with hundred of quests around to do. Thanks for the video, I suppose you came around 2008 with Moria released :) I still like Carn Dum the best
If only it was made on TES V Skyrim engine at least, not TES III Morrowind - like. This game today is a pain for eyes and ears, no matter what resolution is set.
It baffles me how games like FFXIV fail to create as interesting landscapes to explore compared to an old af game like LotRO. Even XIV's skybox is pathetic compared to LotRO's. (Can't speak for other mmos as I've only played those two.)
These locations on ultra settings are still mind blowing.

The game is old but I will never get tired of how wonderful the landscape and areas are in the game I love exploring in Lotro
Moria is incredible, but I was more than happy to leave it for the pale trees of Lothlorien!💛🍂
Gorgeous video, thank you🧡💛

Little bit disappointed you mostly covered dark and grim places. I play this game for the beautiful, cozy and peaceful moments.
He filmetto at night.. my screen was almost black😂
Stunning, Ghyn. Thank you so much for putting this together. There are so many exquisite locations.
Great video, good job Ghynghyn! And i like your choices, especially Moria.
I will never forget the awe when I first entered Moria... ❤️

I dont like Minas Tirith, it looks odd
@@DiaGallcurious, which part of Minas Tirith looks odd to you?
i think minas tirith midsummer would have been even more beautiful, nice video ty
Yeah I didn't think to do midsummer MT.
And also agree with top ones. Maybe I would change some of 6-10 and honourables, but those top are really top.

May god bless you all❤
Can u play lotro on 4k I know there is the setting but always I try it the game crash
I'm not sure what you mean, sorry
Doest matter ^^
@@jubes1 Yes you can, but it depends on whether your hardware can carry it. I've been playing LOTRO on 4k for years with a 1080ti.
Good vid but why are these locations so different as the locations in the film like Rivendell is not that like in the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings
The game lord of the rings online is based on the books. So the locations are made from descriptions in the books, not the movies.
@@ghynghyn4706 oooh thx srry i never read the books only watched the whole tralogy like 24 times :(
@@CasperV-26 Books are good too, you should try them :)
@@ghynghyn4706 i will do that ;))
very nice thx :)
Does this game have no shadows or something?
The game is EXTREMELY old and the models have been hideous since day 1, but the environments do look better than on this video.
Like alwa,s great video,s fro you thanks
Moria is special 🤎
Dude.. you decided to film all the places during nighttime??

I think bree is #1 for me
I kind of forgot about bree I think, it deserved a special mention atleast for sure!
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I dont know why but my graphics look alot better than the videos. have it all maxed out

Nice!!!!
Not even close to the movies. Ridiculous. LEGO Lotr made a better world.
