Legacy Collectibles uses a heat gun for mold removal . They deal primarily in WW2 firearms and they use heat to remove mold from the holsters and such .
Now we just need the Master Knife Maker/Mechanic to show us how to take apart a weed whacker and mount it on a bicycle to make a motorized bicycle! (Something on my 'bucket list' that I will probably never get to!)
FWIW I'm glad you put them back on. Will be good for Charly to be better prepared when she rides alone. Perhaps some tools for minor repairs. Place to keep a bottle of water, rain poncho, extra gloves, charged cell phone power bank & cord, etc. Whatever would be good to have to fix things and/or wait for rescue if a tow truck is needed. Wouldn't they also provide a bit more protection if the bike is dropped? Glad to hear your hands are improving. I cut a tendon at the middle joint of my left index finger when I was a teenager. Joint nearest the tip hasn't worked since. It's been frustrating over the years when I couldn't curl that finger around something for a better grip. While no ways as bad as your problem, yet I can relate in some small degree. Hope you'll be able to do a wee bit of sanding soon. Thank you for continuing to share. Nothing worse than struggling to get something off, only to have to put something behind it and then put it right back on. You cuss taking it off, but when you put it back on...you have to cuss in reverse 😎

I totally get what your going through with your hand. I’ve been going through a similar issue with my ankle after a horrible accident. I use a paraffin wax.bath on mine and it helps tremendously! Hot wax helps with deep tissue ( muscles,ligaments , and circulation) might give you some relief. They sell them on Amazon looks like a crock pot with wax in it. Also my friend has saddle bags she’s getting rid of I’ll ask her if they might fit you wife’s bike. Leave the year and model of her bike in the comments and I’ll check.
Brad, instead of a seat that accepts a passenger, how about a single seat with a rack and a storage box behind the driver? Does soaking that hand in epsom salts help? Thats a heck of a thing for a guy that works with his hands.

@@bctruck I’ll bet you didn’t have to pay $400/ ton plus delivery. Can you believe this? It’s antracite, which is more expensive, but it already went to $225 from $135, and now it’s $400! Hell will be overflowing with these opportunistic robbers. Nothing hell likes better than a good Christmas gouging.
Take that ring off for at least 2 more weeks. Even though the swelling has went down some it will still get in a bind and can cause the swelling to come back.
@@bctruck man I only had gout one time in my life and I swear I started to take the shotgun and just shoot my big toe completely off. I know that the blast from the shotgun would feel better than the gout

I had a backrest bag on my 74 Gold Wing years ago. I liked it on long rides. Resting on it helped with back pain.
We had something similar on it but it was even uglier than the saddlebags.

I would need a 5 hp weed Walker to pull me around.

I did take it back off but I may have found a reason for the swelling. One of the pills I take for gout can cause swelling and joint pain.
