Love this truck.
Great choice for you in my opinion
Best of luck with all your efforts
Looking forward to your Dad getting a channel going. Bet he’ll be great. I know I’ll be watching anyway!
Peterbilt cabovers sit taller than any other cabover one of the main things I love about the old 352s and 362s
I would have guessed the Ford cabover was taller, they looked huge.
I think the Ford cab over commonly called the two story Edsel is higher than the Peterbilt.
Brockway and International both made coe’s that were taller! My dad and I had all 3!
And a Crackerbox too! In the 70s-80s!
I use lemon pledge furniture polish on my interior. It smells good & shines good too. You've got a lot of nice toys sitting around. Not liking the red wheels. Polished aluminum would look better.
Ok, who are the three who gave this video a thumbs down? Seriously, I'm enjoying watching the progress on Low and Slow.
Eagle One interior detail spray is the best vinyl protectant I have found out there.
More good progress Mike. The red wheels work for me. I guess the dash electrics is going to be a slow process of checking and repairing. Keep up the good work. Mike, Lancs 🇬🇧
Low n Slow is running good and is actually an interesting advert for your work as despite its age its still reliable and looking great with a strong frame. Peterbilt engineering that has lasted over 2 decades, a great example of Peterbilt quality.
How's the air conditioning?
AC needs a recharge
Looking good Mike!
Buy an inexpensive 48' or 53' storage trailer with a good floor. Grab the oak floor and re-do the deck on "Low & Slow".
She’s looking great Mike. Love that wooden steering wheel 😊. It was great to see your dad the other day he has a great outlook on life👍🏼
Another great video Mike. Low and Slow is coming along nicely. So jealous, I'd love an old truck to play with..... The chrome caps on the wheels will look good too, can't wait to see. Hoping to see a Kenny update soon also. Keep up the great work.
Educational inspirational and incredible i vote peterbuilt mike for president of the cabover club
🙏🏼👊😎
What's up
Hi
Porter greetings!🇺🇸 I like the new steering wheel. I’m sure you will find lots of extra wiring and such. Time to get the tester out and track the hot wires down and go to town. Don’t forget to get the Mrs. to help ya. I bet the deck boards are gonna be pretty old…may need to get some fresh lumber and strip the entire deck. Oh boy, what a job! 🤩 Well, take one step and day at a time. I’m liking the red wheels. Good stuff. 🤩🥰🇺🇸
Yeah personally looking at that wiring I think I'd be pulling it all out and redoing it. Wiring is my pet peev
I took out the one piece windshield and put two in with a joiner between them and removed the center wiper arm. Those windshields constsntly crack, and the clutch cable breaks as well.
Good to see you mike good luck with low an slow see you soon
Looking super, look alot better with with the plywood gone, nice sound system! Keep Trucking!
Love the wood steering wheel look.
So Mike, how long are you going to make us wait to see if the air conditioner is working???
Inquiring minds want to know.
My bad I forgot to mention it didn't blow cold 🙁
Regarding your fiber optic lights.... Did you happen to check to see if the light bulb was still good? I'd recommend checking that. (And if that's the cause, I'd see about upgrading that bulb to an LED.)
50% Thompsons Water Seal and 50% used motor oil on the deck. Roll it on.
Mike, try some sos pads on your tanks and such. Sounds weird however it’ll clean them up to look new again and it helps make polishing less work haha. Keep up the good work 🤙🏻
🇺🇸😎BRILLO brand in the USA makes steel wool pads that have red jewelers rouge in them. I have cleaned many many aluminum wheels with BRILLO pads. 😎👀
Keep the wood steering wheel 🤠🤘🏼
I would us an ol towel or wash rag to get the nooks an crannies
Hi Mike, that steering wheel rocks! Great call on that...the red wheels look awesome too but my favorite color is red so I am biased. Tim L.
That ramp and bed actually woks super nice , I don’t know why but it reminds of my grand dad load a d-4 cat on the back of a 1977 kw lw over the bunk pretty awesome get er done
Beautiful superduty and low n slow looks awsome Nothing i see often here in Sweden 😅
Nice mike. Lol I like the end
Thanks 👍 👍
👍🇨🇷🇨🇷desde Costa Rica
I love that Reble vinyl cleaner, it works great and you are right it smells good too 😀
Hey I want to see the ford red pick up I have a 1995 Ford F-150
Mike do you have a Facebook page that your fans may comment or keep touch with you on?
Awesome video Mike...red rims looking good
Those red wheels look spectacular! Can’t wait to see the stainless steel baby moons on them. Good eye for detail (lol in my opinion).
A Nice painted white ring around the outside of the rim would finish them wheels off.
Yeah my 362 sits 10 inches higher than my k100 Pete has 11r 22.5 and k100 has low pro 22.5 but even they were the same Pete would tower over the kenworth I have found visibility on the right side is 10x better in the k100
Red sux Mike font you dare
Very cool.
Did you try the air conditioning to see if it works?
Yeah it didn't, but thinking I should try charging it next.
Mike, I have a question why did you buy two cab overs looks like to me low and slow should be the main project from the get-go you can use it around the house for hauling and have an old Peterbilt cabover all in one then wouldn't have two trucks to fix up cost-wise just a thought I know you just like this stuff.
I just love them, the K100 was cheap but needs alot of work. The 362 is useful to go get parts etc. Same price as a big trailer but has its own engine so figured why not.
Do you like Red ?
The steering wheel looks good, Please don't do what others have done when restoring trucks spend time and money on shiny thing and neglect the bits that make a noise "chrome doesn't get you home"
True story, thankfully the pete doesn't need as much as my KW
😎👍
👍😉
My 81 has fiber optic dash lights mine isn’t broken but as you found out it doesn’t work either way lol good try peterbilt I assume the fiber optic lines have a ton of hairline cracks that are blocking the light
Pete looking much better with red wheels. White cab needs same colored red stripes, maybe with gold/black thin pinstripes.
I have some decals getting made to break up all the white until I can get it painted.
@@mikethetrucknut Cool a nice stripe job will look great. Red and gold will look good.
Re- inforced concrete Rampo potentially easier on batteries jump jump,a little higher✍️
You should paint the ramps and bulkhead before winter.
Looking nice so far, steady but surely with time...Thanks Mike
Low N Slow is so deliciously beige from the inside. Nostalgia is a funny thing. I used to hate beige back in the day.
I'd be curious to know how much the front and rear Peterbuilt suspension dropped with the Super Duty on the bed. It couldn't be much I wouldn't think.
With your connections you probably know of a good paintless dent removal guy / gal for that divot on the right front cab corner. That would make an awesome video in itself.
Nice truck i looked at that one it was only about 5km down the road from me i figured a second truck was to much but you proved me wrong I got a 05 freightliner cabover love the big rigs
Low & Slow could deliver that Vette to South Dakota! Those red wheels, unique & awesome!
You are now fully balance just take your time and do all the fixing up on them both. What are the cost for one of your trucks i want to have an idea?
I paid $1500 for KW and $16000 for the Pete.
@@mikethetrucknut thanks for that info, in jamaica that would be a lot to buy one truck, now i would like to come over and buy and fix them up for resale.cool😎😎.
The mechanics at your shop are going to give you a lecture on terminology its CVI for trucks over 5500kgs
Love the Crome steering wheel and it is looking awesome hope you can get all of the lights working and get your A/C fix and a few more things fix do not give up on Kenny keep the videos coming and up dated I enjoy watching them
Get a small light and.mount it through the dash if you don't want to replace the fiber optic
Love the wooden steering wheel, it goes with the wood look dash. You know what, the red wheels are growing on me... a little bit. Now I need a lie down!
Смотрите Майка! И хорошее настроение не покинет больше вас.
Looking great 🔥.. waiting for the next part 💯
You gotta do BJ and the Bear paint job on the aerodyne
A video on how to remove the steering wheel would be nice
A video on how to remove the steering wheel would be nice
At least kennys still inside, up the k whooper.
Looks great mike get the MVI you will be good to go
Overall, I'd say you've got yourself a very good truck. Doesn't need nearly the work Kenny needs, then again, Low and Slow wasn't in a junkyard. But you'll have two very good classic trucks when you're finished.
Yes I agree, I love the pete but I also love the K100. I have a few more must do's to the Pete but then I'm focusing back on the KW. I want Kenny running before winter.
Does the Key have to be on when you turn the lights on
Did you look to see if the bulb was working that you used as your fiber optic light ? you had 1 cab light out on top .don't the lights on the front bottom of cab right above bumper suppose to burn as park lights and signal lights ? trying to remember if they were dual purpose . but keep at it . yes those lift cylinders should be repackable . check local hydraulic shop if you don't think you can do it new would be really high even with your discount lol don't like the plywood they will no your trying to hide something and look up from below and see it when there underneath it jmo
They are just reflectors under the head lights. I was disappointed to figure that out would be super cool if they lit up.
Can't wait to see both of them finished
Casual observation, you seem to have an affinity for the colors red and while...lol Pete looks good though!
Red yes! White just seems to happen. 🙄. Thinking maybe I should paint the K100 blue for something different. I haven't had a blue vehicle since I was 16
Have a beer and relax, eh!
Hey Mike! When are we going to get a shop tour
🤔 Idno that's probably not a bad idea.
What about Kenny are you giving up on him
Definitely not! Can't wait to get it running soon. I just need to get the Peterbilt tidied up to go retrieve parts. 😉
@@mikethetrucknut cool like the wooden steering wheel and you can try and clean the cable to the dash lights the one you put back together with the rubber hose
Please lose the red wheels!!
