  • A great way to print sleeves, pockets, and more without having to change your plattens is by using this great little attachment called The Print Slayer. It just attaches right to your existing platten and you're good to go.
Ryonet has their own version of this now: ssp.ink/pocket-platen

Another great video Jesse! I see now where those print slayers would be a perfect addition to a shop! I only have a 4/1 press so purchasing one would be very economical for me.
On a side note, I really think you do a great job of explaining the process of screen printing. For the last year and a half, I've devoured most videos on RUclips and have loved it. The one thing I haven't gotten a grasp of is an initial set up with the platen onto the press and getting it ready to print. How far does the platen slide on the arm, the best way to level it (I have an aluminum platen) and then figuring out the off contact...I would love a video that would explain this, especially since you have a Riley Hopkins. I think if I knew the proper placement for my platen, I could finally develop a consistent method of putting my transparencies on my screens for perfect alignment to print. Anyway, sorry to babble, but thought if you were looking for content, I think this would be excellent. The fundamentals of screen printing are way harder than people realize and getting good content for instructions is hard to find. Thank you again for your knowledge :)

Wow thank you Heather! I'm so glad my videos have been helpful for you. I really can't even explain how much I've enjoyed making them and helping others like you. Thank you for the content ideas too! That's exactly what I want to do, create content that is helpful for you right now! So knowing your questions is a huge help. I'll definitely add these ideas to my list of content to create so be on the lookout for sure! I'm working on some big things in the near future that I think you'll be excited about and I hope it will help a ton of people, so definitely stay tuned for more!

Another great video. Hey Jesse! Let me ask you, so I’m in the process of setting up a print shop in my garage. I have everything in place except a screen rack which is $330 at Ryonet, a dip tank a outer $300+, a water filtration system, and a laser guiding system. Are these necessity or can one run a print shop without them?

You can definitely run without them. The screen rack and the laser are both just nice to haves. The dip tank I don’t even have so it’s not required either. The filtration system Id say just depends on where you’re sending the water and whether you’re using plastisol. Personally I wanted it so I got mine pretty early on.
