I was thinking of buying this cage for event shooting, I was wondering if I it would be possible to use a gimbal with it. I want to be able to switch between my gimbal and some handheld shots on the fly while using the cage. Do you think the camera with the cage would weight to much to fit on a Zhiyun gimbal?
How do you fit your adapted lenses on to your G85 with the cage? I found that because of the added width of the Viltrox EF-M2 I cant just switch out a native Lumix lens and put on an adapted lens like my Tokina 11-16. The camera won’t sit flush on the bottom of the Cage. I have to remove my G85 and then mount the bottom of the cage to the lens mount on the Viltrox adapter. It’s a bit of a pain. :/
So on the viltrox, it has two little screws/bolts that hold the tripod mount. Unscrew those and it's a perfect circle so it never gets in the way. Let me know if I answered your question!
Hey, Loved the video but quick question. I have a Lumix g7 and it doesn’t show your shot when recording on an external monitor. I was wondering is this the case with the Lumix g85? I’m interested in the upgrade to the g85 because the in body stabilization. But I might go Gh4 if the g85 is incompatible with external monitors. Thanks for the information
Hey Carter! Yeah so that's one reason I didn't go for the G7, you can't view on an external monitor. The G85 is able to! I use a monitor with it all the time and works very well 👍
Not sure if it has attachments for those specifically, but there are 1/4 20 mounts in the bottom to mount anything to so it should work with almost any attachments
Love it! I especially love that I can switch it over to my E-M1 II if necessary.

You could probably do it without the handle, but if you want the handle, balancing will be a struggle.

Yes! Just barely.
I have a Camvate cage too, great bit of kit, do you know if the Smallrig stuff will work with the Camvate fittings?
I have a few smallrig accessories, which ones were you thinking?
@@NolanGunn the grip and slider clips so I can add a shoulder rest. Unless canvas do those, I haven't found one yet.
