You need to be careful to know which parts of the banner will show up on what sort of devices. The whole page only shows up on things like an Apple TV. I fear if you uploaded that one you just made, on mobile devices it would be cropped because you centred the text. Location matters! 👍 Thanks for all that you guys do.

New subscriber, Thumbs up and thank you for all this information. My wife and I are retired and want to start a travel channel on youtube. Could you recommend a descent starter camera? We will shoot her walking thru the streets of various towns and cities talking about the different foods, culture ect.
I will be cameraman as we walk a couple blocks and film. She will need to be Mic up so we need a bluetooth Mic for her, and there will be motion issues also, So we want to get set up with Cheap Starter Camera on stick easy to use for beginners? Mabee last years models will suffice and discounted?

When uploading the image to RUclips studio it will give you a preview of how it looks on different devices!
I was thinking more of resizing existing image since its super unclear how to do that and every service I've tried makes you pay and sign up for stuff

Disapointed you didnt mention the sweet spots which are super important. Anyone can do what you did you need to show people how to center main text and logo with the phone visibility settings.

My biggest advice for newer channels who want to grow their channel in 2021 is to put in the effort. It seems simple and by all means, it is simple, but some channels will put in the hard work for maybe a month or so and then give up when they don't see the results they expect. Success comes when you least expect it but until then, you gotta trust the process and stay consistent. The ones who make it are the ones who worked hard for a whole year without expecting anything in return. Good luck everyone! 💪🏻

In 2021, if you can fall in love with the PROCESS of creating content and find a true (but often) hidden beauty in the consistency required to grow a RUclips channel, you’ll have the keys to growing your channel in ways few others can. This is what I’m learning for myself, personally, but this journey gets so much better when I step back and learn to appreciate the process. Again, fall in love with the process and the results will take care of themselves. Hope everyone is staying safe and well!

I love using Canva but I've had some concerns over the different applications of the licenses you're allowed to use the imagery for. Especially if you're a subscriber- it isn't super clear.
Would you all consider doing a video on Canva's licenses for those of us worried about copyrights? 🤔
Canva should all be copyright free!
It’s hard to understand but if you read the fine print, you can’t own the copyrights if you use their fancier free elements or anything pro. Basic free fonts, basic shapes are ok. So if it’s your logo, think twice. If it’s something for social that you don’t care about copyrighting, then any of the free elements are okay to use.

I make video but no subscribers I don’t get it?!
The issue I have here is when I put this in youtube it seems way too big like on mobile devices and desktop its very zoomed in and the TV is the only one that gets the full image how do I make it so all devices can see it

yeah, i'll give it one more try , but, i do most of my work on the ipad AND canva screwed everything up, the youtube channel art size was all wrong, it wouldn't let me connect to google drive! and it took an hour of trying before it downloaded .. it's almost like they make the free version with bugs to force you to upgrade, prove me wrong 🤷🏻♂️ ... aarrggghhhh

When I upload the banner to RUclips it fills the entire viewable on TV space instead of just the viewable on all devices space. What Am I doing wrong?

I am commenting before I watch your video but I made a RUclips banner using a template in Canva that claimed to be the right dimensions but I had to keep making adjustments because it didn’t seem to be the right dimensions. My photos were being cut off or zoomed in too far. I was so annoyed and this was a template. I finally got my banner to look somewhat how I wanted it to look but it took me re-doing it like 20 times! 🤦🏾♂️ Now I’m gonna watch your video 🤣

Well, I created my banner and tried uploading it to my channel. A whole LOT would have been cut out - outlines showed what would appear on devices, versus desktop, versus TV. I am really confused.

dude, this isn't formatted for all devices... would be better to show how to design it so it's useable on all devices, as that is obviously super important....

This is a good tip for beginners to create RUclips Channel Art.
There is a safe zone that shows up in all devices size format.
Outside of this safe zone, the image can be cut off depending on the device the YT channel is being viewed.
Ok, I went through making a banner following your steps exactly but now RUclips won't accept it!! Everytime I try and download it, it gives one excuse after another!! I even borrowed someone's laptop because I don't own a computer!!
Well do you want a logo and banner? I can make em for you and all you have to do is just add it to your Channel, there won't be no issue at all.

I tried this and it came out great! The only thing is is that it looks blurry when on a laptop screen vs an iphone screen.
The only thing I personally hate about think media video's is that there too long.
