I was introduced to him when I got to see him live in ft collins Colorado while my mom, my brother, and myself went to visit my other brother and seeing him live just kinda broke my mind. I would love to see dueling banjos with jalan and bela fleck
Actually Jalan was raised in the town of Ten Sleep, Wyoming. It is located at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. Interesting point about his music is that many of his songs represent real life situations in the small town of Ten Sleep, pretty cool if you ask me!
Incredible talent! I saw him last year in Casper and sat in the first row of chairs so I could watch his hands. I still am in awe. (And "Trailer Park Fire" is a damn catchy tune! The obvious crowd favorite.) Thank you, Jalan.
Comments are interesting to say the least. Met Jalan in the 80s in a basement in Gillette WY almost homeless. Said he was from PA. Traded Randy Rhodes licks. Great guitar player, and wish I seen more of him through the years.
Andrew Millers Jalan told me once that if I can find a venue for him in AZ (winter time of course) that he would love to come. so help me find a venue and lets set it up!
