fyi, for those feet to do any Isolation you have to remove some springs until the gap is smaller. ie: for this DAC, guessing you need to use 2 springs per foot (possibly even 1 spring per foot?) since it's lighter. See directions
I'm from Poland, thank you for the great review, you didn't bore me with the technical parameters which are worth as much as it is written on the card. You talked about musicality - what a person hears, not empty numbers, and that's beautiful, p.s. You presented great albums. Greetings from Poland
The way you described its audio traits it sounds like it might be similar to the iFi Gryphon, which is not a bad thing. If they bring the price down a bit on the NEO iDSD 2 then I might think about buying it. I use the XBass & XSpace on the iFi Gryphon when I'm drunk lol or to freakout any non-audiophile friends 💥 otherwise I stay with the normal mode.
The are weird looking, i bought them for a turntable a long time ago. But for this video the IDSD2 being a loaner, I didn't want to put the rubber feet and glue them on. So this is all I had to work with.
@@TheBoomerConsumer I didn't assume you were specifically using them for isolation. I figured it was just for RUclips presentation. My comment was generalized and not specific to you. So many people isolate components that objectively do not need it. If it's for appearance or for heat rejection, cool. Do what you like with your money. If you think it improves the sound quality of solid state gear, that's dumb. On a side note, I do use similar feet for my turntable because the Sorbothane domes simply aren't enough with my floors.
Not weird at all. It’s an honest problem. There are sound reducing curtains,Acoustic foam tiles for the walls and other noise reduction stuff is on the market too. Worst case, great headphones.
Not very impressed by your sources, an Ipad PRO and Plexamp with CHromecast? Are these really on the scale of HiFi? The rest of your comments are very similar to all the other reviews i have seen on this iFi NEO IDSD 2. All of these reviews toether have helped me decide to purchase one.
Please keep comments civil. Comments with links will be removed.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Finally. A reviewer that listens to REAL music.

this good for gaming/music? on pc? I see a review on site said it had issues with usb?
Wish it was a Roon endpoint… still need to hook up a raspberry pi with ropieee.
Those isolation feet are hilarious
The entire concept of vibration isolation on a solid state device is hilarious. It's a way to sell useless things to idiots.

You are all...right🙂👌
I can only finde a bit of misunderstandings🍀🖖👋
I like the IFI sound in general. I have a dozen Dac's but go to the Zen most often. Bass boost is nice at times!
Excellent review, first one of yours I've seen, but you helped me make up my mind to grab this sucker!!
Here is a weird question. How can i setup a great stereo if house in a area with moderate traffic noise

Would you say the sound quality is better than a node-X?

Sorry if that isn't enough for you. I also used a direct USB connection from MacMini using hires from Apple Music as well.
doesn't this DAC have the option to switch between solid state and tube output modes? Thought you would have mentioned that?
That's the iFi Pro iDSD Signature.
I'm sure glad I don't live in earthquake country, lol.
Me too:)
Can you use this as an external DAC in a 2 channel system?
You sure can

Awesome, thank you!
