Hi Beard great talking to you earlier on your live found this information on in and it apparently had it's own fire station the final expansion was in the 1950s.
East Fortune Hospital was opened as a tuberculosis sanatorium for the south east of Scotland in 1922 when a World War I naval airship station at Drem, East Lothian, was converted into a hospital. For the duration of World War II the patients were accommodated in a hutted annexe at Bangour Hospital. East Fortune Hospital became part of the Board of Management of East Lothian Hospitals in 1948. In 1956 as tuberculosis patients began to decrease in number, mentally handicapped children were admitted, followed by adults three years later. The hospital became part of the North Lothian District of Lothian Health Board in 1974 and was closed in 1997 following the transfer of patients to Roodlands Hospital in Haddington.

That's really nice of the dog walkers dumping their bags of dog turds 💩💩 where im shocked there was still stuff in them buildings you would think how long it's been abandoned that it's not all been demolished yet as most of it was falling down anyway
aha seems like they throw it all just at that building probs one guy over years - and yes was surprised so much left and assume quite a few parts are left like that there is about a good 60 buildings here

Less than a ml up road there is staff houses abandoned
saw a house there but guessing there would be more around the whole site is huge
I been there bloody creppy and scery spot is east fortune hospital i be going to it in my holldays might exporing it gain and do some poper graffiti
