He said he hasn’t played in two weeks . . . after killer blazing countrified licks. . . . Perhaps I should lay off a few days . . Smoking’ playing Joe!
Hi Joe = Thank`s for letting me into NERDVILLE - home of happy guitars and stuff - si i bought an epiphone 1954 les paul jnr - copy , super fantastic little guitar ! well done and - MORE PLEASE ,
Joe is right. I have a reissue tv special, and its a real gem. It can go from bright cleans when dialed back, all the way to 50 lbs of beef wound out. The only thing I did with mine was put a mojoaxe compensated nickel tailpiece on it. All is right in the universe👍
Frank Rekard played one of the best country solos ever on a LP jr. on Wheels by Emmy Lou Harris when he was in The Hot Band. If you know how to use your hands, a Junior can do almost anything.
I have an Epiphone Custom Shop Les Paul Junior and it's my go - to guitar. It's just so easy to plug and play, a quick tune up and you're away. Not quite like Joe though.
Big fan with a question. Joe have you ever came across a 57 junoir with only 4 digit serial numbers in large thin line format? Solid mahogany neck and body, dog ear pickup but modified before I found it in 86 or 87.headstock showed no name.plays like butter and still does.only info I have is a gibson rep said it was a low end model probably sold for 100.00 back in 50s. Not looking to sell it.just curious about its history.
I haven’t played a good original, I wonder how the reissues really stack up to an original? I’ve played plenty of reissues that didn’t really do it for me but maybe it’s just my touch…
If we want to nerd out, that is NOT a junior. That is a "TV Model." Yeah, I know. It's okay to call it a junior - but in the old catalog and on the headstock it doesn't say "junior".
Haha I was just about to say how the hell do you intonate that with just a a wrap around bridge, its not just about barre chords, people play lead above the 12th, design fail for sure!
What makes Joe so special is his humble background. A nerdy kid who loved guitars and gear.
Absolutely plays figure 1 flawlessly, sorry I haven’t played in 2 weeks.
Those are great guitars, sound even greater when Joe shows how it's done.
What a great sound, so spongy but powerful
I've had many Junior's over the decades and '57 seems to be by and large the best year. I still have my '57 JR. Love it!

Yeah, it's soul crushing..

Joe is the man! Love Juniors.

All the way from east coast of Canada Nova Scotia to see you at the Ryman my wife and I can’t wait August 18 going to be amazing Tks Joe huge fans
Make more Joe Bonamassa videos and magazines. Seriously, dude deserves way more love
Joe playing a 57 Junior is as good as it gets. That Gibson sound is seriously unmistakable. Thanks JB.
one p90 is too limited
@@vincentl.9469 I dunno bro, lots of the great rock the single P-90 format on those Juniors. They sound amazing to me.
The single pickup P90 is a veritable tone machine! Great review and thanks for your time Mr. B!
Varying opinions on Joe. I'm of one that he absolutely effing SMOKES. 🔥🔥
Great guitar. Killer playing.
Very nice
Great tool
Very cool thanks
Saw Leslie West in 72 or 73, truly the Tone God.
Rick Richards is another Jr aficionado.
I love a Jr.
plays perfectly: "Sorry I haven't played in two weeks""
There should be more videos on how guitar faces influence tone 😁

If I’ve worn flip-flops for 2 weeks I usually have trouble tying my shoe laces.
Sturdy Industrial tone
p90 sound great

Hey joe,how bout an epiphone 57 bonamassa for the working folk, been wanting one for 20 years lol
I could honest watch Joe noodle all day
COOL
Most underrated Gibson model. I prefer p90's, but if Gibon had an humbucker option steadily available they would sell more.

Paul Cossoff of Free also used a Jr.?
Do we get a Joe B. sent me discount?

Charlie Starr agrees.
Keith Richards has played them for years too. He’s known for the Tele but he plays a Jr a lot

It's weird: it's basically identical except for being the specific color. I'm curious as to why it was separately marketed.
It is. No matter what you or a catalogue says. You lack the credentials of a nerd. More little sister or mum.
@@ChrisShortyAllen Correct.
Johnny Thunders used a double cut most of his carreer
What are thoses pops? Static?
Leslie West, you knoooow what i mean.
Hey Joe, slow down will ya I'm still on the first lick😅
La valeur du capa ? 033/400V ou 0,47/ (400) merci . Bumblebee ou autre marque?
you need to talk to music city bridge so your old jrs can be intonated properly. tom bokavoc helped design replacement tail pieces.
"Does anybody really want to play power chords above the 12th fret?"
I definitely try to keep my power chords below the 9th.
He said barre chords

@@ardiris2715 well, he did🤷♂️at 3:23

"P-nineys" that's how I'm gonna call them from now on.

Music CityBridge. Perfect for intonation on these. I think it’s Glazers in Nashville.
You need listen to junior players. Some people struggle with set up others do not.
so sick of this guy
Here’s the exit door for you pal 😂
