I think the 2015 T2 blu ray by lionsgate is a better release! Because it doesn't have dnr and the color grading seems like the original theatrical release. Also includes the extended edition
Yeah, it's fair to point these things out. I picked up T2 4k on amazon for very cheap, and by that I mean it was cheaper than many dvds I've bought in the past 10 years. The problems are not as egregious as Aliens 4k, I'll stick with the dvd/blu rays that I have for the Alien series... there were some serious facial distortions with the 4k Aliens that I've seen online (True Lies also, but I was never a huge fan of that movie). Finding quality originals and post-processing from that is best, but unless this happens and they are properly digitally preserved, this may become the fate of many movies in the future.
I liked the picture quality for me it's better than the crappy blu ray then it's good enough for me and i know i will like the new 4k Aliens when i will buy it. I am not a purest and i feel if a film can be updated to FIX effects and mistakes for the better because we have the technology to do so and back then the director couldn't do it how they wanted it then even better as long as they DONT do what george lucas did by adding in things that wasn't in the film.
oh, sorry I didn't reply to your comment before! Aliens is very good! I did a review as well if you're interested :) thank for watching and commenting!
@physicalmediaeu everyone that sees it only complains about how it doesn't look that much better and how they fixed the visual effects. Sounds good to me, besides I pass my blue rays on to friends .
That's a good option too! I'm for sure not getting rid of my skynet version. Thanks for commenting! If you're interested, I did other reviews for the newer James Cameron 4Ks

that's a very good call! I also preferred to keep my old bluray :) but I have the Skynet Edition though

very interesting point there. It would suck if studios start using AI left and right to make this "enhancements"
It's only the original Theatrical Cut in 4K. Crazy.
indeed! somehow I missed to mention this in the video. Thanks for pointing it out!
My only complaint is its theatrical in 4k
fair point! such a missed opportunity. Thanks for commenting William!

I never noticed the truck scene error before
it only took me like 20 years too! 😅
I'm going to pick it up

Maybe I'll wait for the Atmos version
Good video not from EU but I really liked this video
Glad to hear you like it! And appreciate the comment 🙌 more videos coming soon!
For me 🤷 "blah" release due to the theatrical version, muddy noise reduction on almost every scene and the colors are just off like you said.
indeed! a missed opportunity for sure. Thanks for commenting!
I will stick to my bu ray skynet edited
