Segmented Circles is all about how to read wind indicators such as socks, tetrahedrons, and wind Tees. Then I discuss how to interpret the traffic pattern indicators for different runway layouts. I show how to interpret the different indicators and controllers instructions regarding traffic patterns.
121.Mike is all about flying. You'll learn what you need to pass your FAA knowledge tests and how to apply this knowledge.
Thank you for the video , helped me understand this concept.
Amazing explanation
Very informative. Thank you so much
Thank you! Finally I understand. Your awesome!
Student pilot
Thank you for the clear explanation! A few things I was confused about and clarified myself (as a rank beginner) from various sources incl your video:
* The runway markings point towards the direction of runway NOT its starting location (eg. 36 is actually located in the south/180 degree point and NOT in the north). I had a wrong vision in my mind about the magnetic heading markings
* Approach the short end such that you will make the same turn again to land (ie two right turns or two left)
* Choose the heading with smallest angle with the wind direction.
I’m glad you brought up the runway end thing. I’m so used to it now, but starting out I found myself occasionally confused as well about where I needed to be to land on a certain runway.
I hope I will became a great CFI like you one day!
