First proper days work for John at the wheel of his 2nd 7810.... has it been the right choice to trade the old one in with less hours for the younger 03 model featuring the TLS, 50km/h roadspeed and Autoquad gearbox? The proof of the pudding is in the eating as they say as he hires out a Bunning dung spreader to haul Alan Clydes farm manure to his furthest away ground.

The 7810 is looking awesome. Everything including the dual beacons makes her look spot on.
Stunning tractor. I'd love it. My dad had a quote for one in 2003 but bought a TM190 instead. It was a complete dog and almost everything was replaced on it.

Fan speed might be trickier than you think, ecu will be constantly varying the signal it sends to the fan drive according to coolant temp etc and comparing desired fan speed to the signal it gets back from the actual speed sensor. The light will still flash if it thinks the fan is turning too fast or too slow for the desired speed.

Alan's right as always, she is no New Holland but you would still take her, she looks the part, Lovely tractor in all fairness John. I thinks it nice to have her 100%, everything the way she came out of the factory, I would do the same.
Your 7810 would actually be classed as power quad aswell but you've got the electric splitter hears. Auto quad gearboxes have a 3rd button the auto button which obvs changes splitters for you. The 30s onwards and potentially the 20s you can get a clutch button for changing between say c to d or d to e etc
That clutch button is alright it's a bit jumpy but not worth the money
That 7810 has an autoquad button, two actually autoquad eco and the normal autoquad

Yes it changes 1-4 by itself when selected to do so, i like it for road work, use it all the time in my own tractor with it

Deere hit the nail on the head with the 77/7810. Sold alot of them in this country.
I still believe auto quad gear box is the best for getting pulling power out a machine! Good to see the Clyde back!
Auto power isnt the best, if you go down a range from F to E for example when you hit a hill, she'd jump up to E4 and youd have to bring her down the gears fast
That isn't an auto quad transmission. its a power quad+ which has soft shift which does the speed matching for you. Autoquad has a third button which changes the quad position automatically based on engine revs and throttle position. basically you just change ranges and leave it alone.
To make her think that the fan is still turning, theres the proper way (good luck finding it) and theres the farmer way to cut the wires to the beeper
John if I had JD it would be 7800, 8100 n bigger 9500 but smaller 6110 n 6930 I wasn’t fan of but some people just like talking BS. Enjoy watching JD in action, maybe pulling chaser bin at harvest will test her n you, choosing right gear to pull load while moving with combine.

7810 lookimg mint. But if thats a hire spreader then it really is poor from the hire company that it does not a working PTO guard in this day and age of farm safety.

I do love it when people moan about a machine, I've always had it while owning unimogs and same with the MB trac! It does seem that a lot of people don't fix tractor problems so when someone else just it and doesn't like it... well its crap!... well not if it had been fixed!😂😂. I should also hope there's a difference if you tweak somethings pump... kinda the idea 😂🙈🙈
