My brother had a flight from London to Bahrain GF002 arrived at 7 pm local time in Bahrain after delay either. The authority said that there was an engine failure to one of the aircrafts after takeoff forcing the aircraft to get back to the airport. My brother flight was about to be transferred to Dammam in Saudi Arabia but luckily the situation getting OK latter.
Yes Gulf Air isn't the best out there, when it comes to flying on time. I had the same flight GF 006 from London to Bahrain delayed over 24 hours in June 2022. They didn't provide any accomodation either so people were left stranded at the terminal. No one helped from airline as well. Overall their service isn't the best.
Im 6"2. Woukd you recommend i book extra legroom in economy for my trip next month Manchester to Bangkok

I would suggest that if you do have the option to opt for extra legroom, then you should, especially considering you have two long-haul flights. Considering your height, extra leg-room would make it much more convenient for you too. Stay tuned and subscribe for further aviation related content ☺️

Yeah so in terms of seat comfort, generally, Etihad is quite similar to Gulfair on their B787s. The legroom is also similar on their Dreamliners. Stay tuned and Subscribe for further aviation related content ☺️

i really wanted to see the headphone jack/ports… i want to know if i can use bluetooth headphones / lightning headphones with an adapter or converter.. on the entertainment system but nobody shows it
Yeah so the headphones they provide have 2 pins, meaning they cannot be used with your personal device, such as phone/laptop. They can only be used with their IFE system. Also, you cannot connect your personal headphones with their systems, as their system doesn't have Bluetooth facility. Hope this makes sense! 😊
were they strict with the checked baggage? How was the customer service and seat comfort?
No, they weren't strict with checked luggage, in my case, it was slightly overweight, and they still allowed it from Heathrow.

@@duaneowens7777 in my case the weight limit was indeed 25KG, however check in staff at Heathrow was very cooperative and didn't make a fuss out of it, as my bags weighed a few kilos over.

Yes WiFi is available on board the B787 aircrafts.
I am uk student and from india I am going india and booked the same flight do I need transit visa as my flight is stop in Bahrian airport for 7 hours.
Hello,
I had 9 hour transit in Bahrain too. You have two options when you land in Bahrain. First option is to stay inside the airport for 7 hours. Second option is that Gulf air will provide you with a hotel. For the hotel option, you will get a transit visa for free. Just go to the transfers desk and they will give you more information. Hope this helps.

Can I sign up for the hotel option if I have a Gulf Air flight from Bahrain to London Heathrow airport and after reaching London, I have a 6 hour layover there. From London Airport , I will board an Air Canada flight to YYC Calgary, Canada? If the hotel option is available for me, can u pls exain the steps to avail it. Thanks

I don't think you will have the option to avail a free hotel, because Gulfair only provides hotel in Bahrain for passengers with long layover only in Bahrain. Since your layover is in London, you will have to find a hotel yourself, and make sure you have the required visa documents, to exit London Heathrow. I hope this helps 😀
Worst airline and service ever
