That lyric hit me. I'm going back 10-11 years now, but I remember that feeling. Like somebody has changed, and the look in their eye is a little less like the person we used to know, almost less genuine.

Heather your music is truly astounding and has gotten me through some extremely rough circumstances in my life. Thank you for being so inspired and talented. Someone doesn't get this talented without suffering a bit- so just know that your suffering became something beautiful to heal others.
Hence, why she has tattoos, as most people who get marks or tats on their body is due to trauma, or some alternate suffering in their life. She does perform very well on her songs.

I can relate pretty much to the lyrics because a current situation I'm in. It always hurt when a marriage/relationship starts going down the drain and the person you love has changed into something worse.

I go back to this every few month. Mostly when I see a picture of an ex. This is going to sound narcissistic but I feel like I’m at the receiving end. Not sure if my exes still love me. Not anymore probably. But a lot of it ended with them missing the me in the beginning.
