My best friend emceed my wedding on Feb 16. Sometime during the evening, he picked up his guitar and told us he had a song to sing that he's borrowed from a guy on iTunes. After the first verse, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. Killer tune, great message, one that I'll forever remember from the happiest day of my life!

Love is not only the weekends (best days in the lyrics) which is symbolic to the good times when things are happy and fun, Nor is it the start of the week (worst days) to represent the hard times when things are rough and you will fight. It's the in betweens. The slow, mundane everyday life we take for granted, when the heat of passion has started to cool off. The days we disregard as boring and unexciting which ends up being one of the most precious memories we tend to cherish. Love is not only enjoying the best days, and it's not only sticking through the worst. It is also about taking time to be in each other's company, even if it's only to talk for 5 minutes on the phone, or kiss them on the forehead or run your hand on their head, feeling each individual locks of hair streaming through your fingers. It's the little things that ends up filling a big part of our heart.
This song is talking about how love is not just a "feeling" or a picture. Is something that still has passive days and monotony (like a Tuesday) If at some point you marry, please don't base your "love" on feelings, because you'll be disappointed. Marriage is about putting the other person first.

Yes, we come from our "mommas" but the original design was made by God. You see how the world is on a Daily basis? Full of horrible things and a lack of purpose? That's a world without God. And yeah, we can "live our life's without Him" (many people do) and they may do fine ... But they lost the opportunity to actually live extraordinary, spiritual, absolutely fulfilling and eternal lives. And people who didn't care about God in this earthly life, won't care about Him in the afterlife, and they will be forever separated from their Creator. Marriage is just one of the factors that would be INCREDIBLY FULFILLING if we lived according to God's design.
