What a wonderful tribute to a icon of the Movies JW the characters in the audience were priceless it was so well done and was done to a living person at the time RIP JW and so many others living and passed ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of the greatest Westerns every made. Absolutely!! John and Dennis and Jeff and Strother and Glen and Duval and, of course, Kim. Still makes me laugh and cry and believe.
I still get goose bumps watching him walk up to get that award. I was 12 when True Grit came out. My sister took me to the drive in to see it. Loved him then, love him now.
These years were the best in America far as im concerned!! The best times and Hollywood had the best films with best actors. I’m thankful to have lived thru these years, Now it’s a terrible time in comparison. John was and still is the legend and a true American hero.. The golden years are gone, but the memories are here forever. RIP John Wayne, you will always be my hero!!
I have a signed photo, the opening scene from Hondo. I tell the family if the house falls down, save the photo! Everyone and everything else is secondary. Never his likes again.
Well here we have an unreleased version of Sinatra for collectors, for me it is out of tune, it seems like he tried to modernize the original arrangement of the album, it didn't turn out very well

Old Duke was quick on his feet, super witty and very personable. I still watch his movies even now.
John Wayne a true legend my all time best actor
Mine also. Daniel from Rio de Janeiro.
The look that Angie gave Frank during his tribute song said so much (Bless Her).
Love this special show. Love always, dearest John Wayne! 💕 xoxo 🫂
I have always wanted to see this and am so thankful that you uploaded this. Thank you.
My pleasure!😉
Back when giants and legends still walked among us.
What do we have now? Justin Bieber and the Kardashians?
JW was a great American. I loved all his pictures. He's an American Treasure!
It's the whole show. Enjoy it!!!😉
They don’t make men like Duke anymore I still love and miss him
So do i
Me too ❤
Me too!
Closest we ever gonna get was Schwarzenegger
@@jaimonjohn2516 Ended up being a traitor.
Duke-land, any movie with John Wayne, the best of them all, rip.
Thank you. This was enjoyable even though the quality of the video wasn’t the best.
Keep in mind, it´s from 1976.
Quite loved
Yeah, watching this was very emotional
Look at all the celebrities in that room. Telly Savalos, Sammy Davis Jr Charles Bronson. WOW
Maureen O'hara is still the only one who can take me two out of three, just beautiful ❤
Really? I found Angie Dickinson much more attractive.😉
@@KatzenhaseOh Absolutely! I was referring to what John Wayne said about Maureen.
Luv John Wayne
John Wayne was a legend! They could have held the event at a better venue…The studios just look like a bunch of scruffy warehouses!

At the end Duke shook the hand of the most humble man in Hollywood at that time...his name was Red Skeleton.
Where's Dean Martin ?
End was near for the Dukeroo
I have not seen this since . . . . 1976 ? Damn I'm OLD ! . . . LOL ! Opie sounds he just sucked the helium out of a balloon !
Why didnt they make The Duke president ? . Thanks dudes .❤ Dave
Where is that Frank Sinatra concert after this special
WHAT, hollywood did a tribute without puking politics? Back when they were classy.
I think I saw Glenn Ford.
Yes Glenn Ford was there. I also spotted Henry Fonda there.
@@Katzenhase I wonder why Dean Martin wasn't there ?
@@briang.7206 No hunch!
Is that Robin Williams there?
Where? What minute?
@@Katzenhase In the minute 13:56
@@kathrin-mariasamarrastehle6538 No, of course not. That´s not Robin Williams. Back in 1976 Robin Williams wasn´t famous at all.
@@Katzenhase I was mistaken him as Robin was also short and also funny. I don't know who was that man but he remainded me robin 😋
@@kathrin-mariasamarrastehle6538 John Byner was the man sitting with Lee Marvin there.
When America was great and you could be who you wanted before the liberals came !
Thanks for introducing a totally irrelevant MAGA wisecrack.
Plenty of liberals here like Henry Fonda.

Such bad quality sadly, unwatchable.
WAYNE WAS TOUCHING.......SINCERE

JOHN WAYNE WAS QUITE A COMEDIAN !!!!
