if u r not getting multiples if 512 then add padding such that it becomes a multiple of 512

yes one 512 bit block is divided into sub blocks of size 32 bits. so one 512 bit block is divided into 16 ,32 bit blocks.

it should have been 1000 mod 64
There is no mistake
It is mod 2^64 because we can define the length of 2^64 bits in 64 bits.
when the length of the message is greater than this we will use another message.
