It was their design so that Hindus don't come out in large numbers and vote for Modi ji unitedly. That's why BJP fell short of clear majority of its own. But for Muslims and Congress, it was a blow to their dream of coming to power as the NDA, lead by Modiji got clear majority.

The recent terrorist activities from POK will not pressure India's new government into holding talks, as this approach is ineffective. Instead, there is a significant initiative underway in India to address this issue.
Honestly, India has nothing to gain from the relationship. Pakistan wants India to talk on Kashmir. The change in status quo of Kashmir has made every leader in India incapable to talk about the future of a state with a foreign country.
