- Ahead of the season premiere on Wednesday night, meet the cast of Audience Network's hit mixed martial arts show 'Kingdom,' which centers on Alvey Kulina (Frank Grillo), a retired MMA fighter who has turned to coaching in his post-fighting life. Decorated MMA trainer Greg Jackson plays a major consulting role on the show. The new season debuts on June 1 at 9pm ET/PT on Audience Network.

Show just came on Netflix. Never knew it existed and I've binged 20 episodes in two days. Great show it should have gotten more press during it's run.

Jonathan Tucker who plays Jay is such a good actor, he plays that wild, wiry, drug fueled crazy dude so well. Great actor, I dont buy him as Alveys son though, might be the dialogue or something im not sure.
Nate looks more like his dad, and Jay like his mom. I'm buying it. Maybe the age difference between Jay and Alvey is not big enough (I don't know how old the actors are) but beside that it works. I don't see what the dialogue has to do with it to be honest.
And the fact they're only 17 years apart
Jay is one of my favorite actors! His acting and dialogue is outstanding.
Tj Allison it really just has to do with chemistry. Look at Connery and Ford in the last crusade only a 12 year difference but they played the father son role so convincingly. Granted, this is a different dynamic but I feel they were amazing in one they were trying to portray kudos to this show sad it only had 3 seasons.

I can’t believe how long the shows been out, and I just heard of it 2 days ago and finished it today. Truly an amazing show better late than never I guess.

I was sucked in from the first scene. I'm still trying to recruit Kingdom followers so I can talk shop about this incredible series. Its so organic and natural. Plus, the individual stories for each character and the fighting is believable and exciting!
The way I found this show and what I was going through in life at the time ... I'll never forget this show and the emotions I felt watching the story unfold. Amazing show.

Best tv series I've ever seen
I love the show, just saw a video with Greg Jackson and Joe Stevens both fighters, Jackson giving consulting and Stevens choreographing the fights in the show. I think show did it's homework to show us the in and outs of a fight before and after the fights.

When was this filmed
I appreciate the attempt to make a show centered around mma. It must be difficult to put on a show that shows mma authentically while putting in dramatic elements that is truthful yet not corny or rehash or what we've seen in other fight movies/documentaries. I am curious how far they will take it in the story. Is it going to involve the temptation of PEDs? Injuries? weight-cutting? family/love life or lack there of? The prospect of being washed up and having no other job prospects? Or may be a fighter that opts to explore other fight gigs in other countries simply to keep the dream alive. Let's see what they got...
to its credit... it includes all those things and believe me i was just as skeptical. this is fine for the hardcore fan as long as you keep in mind that the mma is a backdrop for a soap opera.. but not as much as you may think.
Watch it. You will not be disappointed.

just being honest, only the first season gave me a hell out of a good time. There is prison, love triangle, addiction, and just lots of problem that make us want to follow up to see what happens. Then second season and on are like a water down version of season 1 and got boring~~

The show is great, the name is terrible.
1:20 says Warrior was 2006, no it was 2011, either bad editing or to many shots to the head.
He was on about pre production of the movie though.. Preparing for it before they even started filming. Not its release date.
Zara Barnes They did not start preparing 5 years before they started filming, production for the movie started In 2010. The Real person that the main character was based on didn't didn't enter the military until 2007 so how could they a film make about someone's life that hasn't happened yet lol.
