Wow, can tell you’ve definitely put some time into studying the techniques Albert used. You’ve definitely got that sound underneath your fingers! Love the playing, keep doing what you guys are doing 👍🏻
...first white hands I've ever seen squeeze those chops out of a Flying V. Big Props. Never seen or heard Eric OR Stevie suss Albert's signatures like that. Don't care what haters say,, if you're tuning down - CARRY ON. Wow. Love to see you live. Seriously, put that on a CD and let all of your subscribers know how to buy it. Cheers !
Great lesson but the one thing I didn't hear you didn't mention was that you're tuned 1-1/2 steps down which makes those 2 whole step bends alot easier. And it's a lot more difficult to pull off on a Fender guitar vs Gibson in my opinion, (Long Scale vs Short Scale neck). Chris Cain is a master of Alberts style. Worth checking out in case any of your readers haven't heard him. (There are two guitar playing Chris Cains so be sure to look for the blues player, you'll hear a ton of both Kings, Albert and BB plus his own thing.
You guys are close, he used an 8 and 11 and a 14 on his top three strings, tuned 1 1/2 steps down, and played his signature turnaround in a completely different way than the usual box everyone's using try playing that lick going down
I like it. Still rough but you definitely captured some of that Albert feeling about half way through. Best Albert licks I’ve heard in these online guitar searches I’ve done for getting Albert’s sound. The tuning definitely makes a difference. Keep it up you got something going there.
Man. MAN it sounds AMAZING…you just don’t get it unless you feel those notes in your HEART, and this definitely does the trick. Now (dang it) I need to practice. 😊
I loved the way you explained things compared to others I heard great teaching style if you could pdf tab for us to help along so many people could learn a lot from you I subscribed! thanx
And told it how it was. Albert wasn't a fan of Hendrix, but raved about Stevie Ray Vaughn. Which isn't suprising. Hendrix wasn't as rooted in the blues as Stevie, and Albert was a bluesman through and through, obviously. Regardless. I could watch all 3 guys play all day long!
The neck of your fiddle looks really dry. I can see your finger appearing to hang up. Recommendation. A light application of Lemon oil to the fret board will make your fingers easily glide on the rosewood. It also sounds better when the neck is smoother. Cheers
You got it as close as possible... one more guitar master could grasp what Albert did, as he was also lefty with the same string position, it was late great Otis Rush... Of course he had his own voice...
The tuning as well plays a part with the string bending. As far as I know from reading he tuned ‘Lucy’ CFCFAD with the high E string tuned a whole step down to D, the B a whole step down to A, the G down to F, the D down to C and then the low A and E strings 2 whole steps down to F and C respectively.
So far everybody is wrong! It's very simple put an 8 and 11 and 14 on the top three strings, turn the guitar down a step and a half to c-sharp, just regular tuning down one and a half Semitones and use vibrato on the one note. And also everybody is playing in the wrong box! And lastly just watched the Stevie Ray Vaughan Albert video and you'll see Albert is playing higher on the neck than Stevie, who I think tune to e flat! Good luck

man I'm amazed really!! the only one that could nail the Albert King Tone!! please let us know your setup!! I'll definitely purschase those pedals!!
The best Albert King Imitation i’ve heard so far!!
When you listen with closed eyes, you Are expecting to hear Alberts Voice singing all the Time :D
I would not be able to tell the difference and I love Albert King.
Thank you for the wonderful lesson and happy new year! I look forward to the new videos that are coming this year.
Excellente. Cheers.

Albert tuned down and plays his guitar upside down. So the top string is the E light. This allows to pul on the string.

Bro, I've met Albert King and let me tell you, YOU SOUND LIKE Albert King!!! Subscribed!!
I like it. Still rough but you definitely captured some of that Albert feeling about half way through. Best Albert licks I’ve heard in these online guitar searches I’ve done for getting Albert’s sound. The tuning definitely makes a difference. Keep it up you got something going there.
You absolutely have the tone and technique my friend. My hats off to you sir.
Love the video, is there a link to that backing track? I havent found a stormy monday track that sounds this good
Saw him live 1985 around. He is an absolute beast of a guitar player.
I saw Albert 'The Baddest mother Guitarist Ever' and you got it. You got it. Impressed.
Makes a nice change seeing someone who's selling something that can actually play !! Very nice touch
Ha ha, thanks so much
Man. MAN it sounds AMAZING…you just don’t get it unless you feel those notes in your HEART, and this definitely does the trick. Now (dang it) I need to practice. 😊

Did you learn his technique, or did you channel his spirit? Kudos.
The man had hands like ball mitts. And touch like a butterfly.

Wicked video
Thanks a lot for watching mate
Damn son, I go out to hear you play that. You managed to cop that with NO SRV included.
Is the backingtrack available somewhere? Nice interpretation of AK
SRV is Albert King on steroids, but nobody can bend like Albert.
That in sessions with Albert king and Stevie ray vaughn breeded a lot of future bluesman
What gauge strings and tuning did the mighty King use?
damn u can play, you are a beast
4:05 I never felt more identified in my life with those existentials moments
😂😂❤️

awsome video! next challenge, do a lesson on this solo please !!!!
Great! Which guitar pedal did you use? Phaser?
Same question 🤔
What Guage strings are you using?
Just broke my E string. Hahah. Nice one
That means you’re doing it right ha ha, thanks so much
string gauge ?
Awesome playing
Sorry we couldn’t work out a trade for the Texan twang but I’m still team chrimi🥰🥰
Wooooh!
What string brand and gauge do you use?
Tune the guitar down to C# (ie 3 steps down from normal E tuning) - use a set of 9s..it is very difficult to maintain good tuning..
step one play upside down

I love this tunning. All of my 3 guitar are buzzing with this tunning but i like buzzing😎
Will this tuning break my acoustic guitar? 😂
@@perkinsshaquan770you’re tuning down so nope it’ll be fine. Jesus please don’t tune your low E up to C! You’re neck will bend in half

🖐
0:03 did not need to see that.
and after that, here's what you do: CHANGE THE B AND E STRINGS SO NOTHING BREAKS!!! XD
O.o
Buy the recordings of SRV. BINGO!
Be like?
