It’s all taste too. I prefer Gen 4 for my films. I got to know that color science well and can get the shots I want quicker. With Gen 5 you have to expose differently and grading takes a bit more time. But it’s good to have both options and each one should go with what works best for them. Nice video.

Sorry but could you explain more in detail how you would expose differently for Gen 4 and Gen 5. How that would look. And in the grading process are the differences between the 2 within the color management system or just within the nodes or with the actual RAW tab, or both, or all 3; the color management panel, raw tab panel and the primiaries? If it involves too much to respond, no worries, I just wanted more detailed info to understand better to see how each could be used in what situation.
Well done! Great way to sure the difference without adding other variables. GEN 5 offers a flatter film profile which allows more control in highlights and roll off.

Gen 5 seems a minor update but I love they are still working on new version of it

@@ThomasSz1994 Oh geez thanks man I’m still learning how to do videos on RUclips it’s a tough process but I actually do it because it’s a hobby that I love to be honest I really don’t care if the channel grows big I’m here to help whoever I always enjoy to pass stuff I learn to others I know how it’s like to watch a video you waste money to buy the gear then to find out you really was lied to just to buy it.
