Hi John, thanks for the great idea. I went to dollar tree and picked up a few of these cutting boards and ordered a cutter like yours from eBay. I made a template in Freecad and used it to align my DRO. With this I got 15 collets to a rack. Then I used the label printer to label each hole. The whole thing came out great. Thank you so much for sharing!
Love it. I love browsing the kitchen and household section of Target whenever I get dragged there. It's a wonderland of awesome shop storage options. I never considered checking out the Dollar Store, I bet they have all sorts of goodies. Thanks for the video!
Frank WB8JWE - Good idea John. This could be adapted to hold model paint jars with a base plate mounted underneath. There is nothing wrong with any of your videos, the world has changed too much.
Strangely enough this topic came up on one of the model engineering forums recently ! chopping boards were mentioned but most were thinking of the thicker nylon ones , never thought of the cheap option from a discount/variety store ( similar to your dollar shop). i made one from some old plywood and while it works ok but i'm not a fan as it just looks ugly ! i hope you have made it through the storm ok .
Preston, thanks for the comment. We did not get much water near our home in northeast TX, however I'm on Southern Baptist relief team and am scheduled to be deployed later this week. Usually deployment is a week on then home for a couple of weeks then back. My daughter and her family have been flooded out and had to leave. Things are pretty bad down there. ~John

" I dont know, maybe 6." Yes John, that is 6.
Hope you are high and dry and weather this incredible storm safely.
Gary, thanks for watching. Lots of rain in East Texas and more on the way. ~John
Good project John. btw,,, those hole cutters are mean little jammers when they're spinning. One of those, " I'm goon kill ya " tools lol.
Carl, you are so correct about the hole cutters...they work very well but you'd better watch your hands. BTW: Really like your AM radio project. ~John
Could you cut the plastic boxes down to go over each collet as a dust/chip cover? Good to see you are still posting more great ideas.
That would be a good idea; I'll look into incorporating that into the rack. ~John

Ian, thanks for watching and for your comments. The storm has hit pretty bad, I'm on disaster relief and will be deployed later this week. ~John
Simple but effective, good work John! Any Ham radio videos coming?

Thanks for watching. Ham radios are scheduled however due to the storms in Texas I will be delayed a few more weeks. ~John
That's more than understandable. Keep up the good work and hope you and the family stay safe!
Nice project John.
Off topic, hope you and the wife fair well as that storm comes near.

Thanks for watching and for your comment. It's lots of rain in East Texas but no wind damage so far. ~John
