Sweet! This past weekend I stopped at Nestor Falls on LOTW for a few casts and got a 48.5". I live in NW Ontario but dont fish muskie often. I love them but its 2 hours drive to the nearest muskie lake from where I live. So it's a location thing 😉
You two are an excellent team... Love watching and the video is the most clear. Don’t think I’ve ever seen you shake like that... Thanks again for bringing us along.
One more comment… thank you for sharing the boat dynamics and your observations… like blades in the front and how the fish were lazy for the back angler if they are throwing blades. I have had this happen to me so many times.
That's a nicen'. I fish Crow, pretty much right down the road. Most beautiful region of sunset country in my opinion. I think they fight that hard from eating those trout and 5lb whitefish.
Awesome**nothing like a great net buddy;) We never take them out of the water- neat to see- beautiful they are treated so nicely with respect and care by you**
All I can think about is how this could have been a rough moment (knowing she wasn’t hooked that good) but it wasn’t. What a day!what an awesome video! Let’s Go DOUG!
Way to go you two! Great trip and a Canadian PB to top it off. Always enjoy watching you guys getting to spend quality together. Gonna seal the deal later this year. Wish you many years of happiness.
Just picked up a couple of double dawgs this year and love them. Especially on the lakes I fish everyone throws medussas so it’s nice it’s a similar profile but just something a little different no one is using.
@@dougwegnerfishing You're welcome, Doug. Thanks to you and Jess for entertaining me and helping to scratch my muskie itch being as I'm not been able to go fishing myself.
Gonna be at the cabin on pipestone in just a couple days for a little trip. Hoping to be able to find giant for myself. Nice fish man! They build them different in pipestone for sure.
I went to north east Wisconsin to catch my first muskie and ended up with a baby 20 incher lol. All the 30s and 40s would follow our baits in and then just sink. My friend caught two 20s and all three of them absolutely smoked the lures. Why the difference in aggression? Just wiser fish?
Such an amazing video Doug!! I have noticed Jessie reels in her bucktails soooo fast and whips into the circle. Do you recommend always burning bucktails? Her arms must be killing her? Maybe her reel is the answer?
12-1? You may have to keep her at home for a few "catch up" days. The 51+ was worth 6, so she is still catchable... Great series, and congrats on the best girlfriend in the RUclips fishing universe.
That is an absolute stud of a 'ski Doug! I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Lexa WN series reels? I recently picked one up instead of an HD only because of my budget not being able to fit the more expensive HD series.
Lunge are super, mega rare. If you find a lake that has lots. Cherish them. They have gone near extinct in over 90% of Canada water bodies. Pretty much any lake I fished in as a kid no longer have recorded muskie catches in the last 10+ years.
Congrats on the Canadian PB dude! That fish was a tank. I just got my first 50 in a inland Wisconsin lake the fish measured 51 last year I guess I'm the fourth one to catch her and I fought the fish almost identically to you it was an incredible experience, I didn't measure her I didn't have a bump board so I wasn't going to lay the fish down on the carpet and take a tape to her that's stupid so I didn't measure her and then later that night when I posted the picture I got a message turns out she had a little bit of a story which was super cool. Since she measured 51 last year that's all I will claim she is but it was a big fish and the best part was I got to catch her with my uncle we've been fishing that Lake together for 20 years now
@@jakekrohn7509 no NW WI, I caught a bunch of shit for saying the name of the lake apparently people think they're secret lakes in Wisconsin so I'm not going to bother putting more info out at this point
Pipestone has the best tasting muskies compared to any other lake. We kept 2 over 54" that smoked up so damn good. We now go there 2 times a year. And the 7 of us always go home with a 50" each Mmm mmm. I don't get any tastier than smoked 50"ers and a Surly Furious IPA !!🧑🍳🍺 CHEERS
Well there goes that lake. It's going to get hammered now.

Big ones don’t get me to worked up anymore but the right fish at the right place I’ll shake like a leaf.
My heart is racing and I'm just watching!
Haha that’s awesome!

Not sure what it is but I love it!
Well done. Nine days!! There is no doubt that you wanted that.
Thing is a monster brother!!
Haha thank you!
True giant of the north!! 👍👍
“I thought you were going over the freaking motor! “ 😂
Just getting pulled around by a musky don’t mind me.
Your videos are on another level this year dude. Awesome fish. Awesome fight. Love how the big girls do what ever they want at the end of the line.
Thank you been putting a lot of work into them the last year or two.
Awesome**nothing like a great net buddy;) We never take them out of the water- neat to see- beautiful they are treated so nicely with respect and care by you**
They are to special to harm in anyway.
It's always good when your woman is excited about your catch

Awesome fish!! Left handed bump? My buddy has one and it drives me nuts.
Jessie is left handed and mine right handed one was in her boat.
Loved seeing the change to the wrong side of the boat when you saw the side imaging! Awesome trip beautiful fish, and what a hog for the biggest!
Congrats Doug! What a beauty. God-willing I can make it back to Pipestone with my family after a 35 year hiatus.
It’s an amazing place no doubt!
Jess hooksets are 👌. Awesome catch bro
She is a beast!

They were such a good bait for me last year. After this fish I caught a bigger one later in the year on a double dawg pounder.
What a beast, Doug.
Thanks for always watching and supporting me!

Awesome fish! Did I just miss what color double Dawg that was, or was it not said? Looks like a great one to add to the box.
Fantastic! Thanks for making the vid!
Pipestone point lake of the woods? I fished there a few times with the hall of fame quarterback Kurt Warner!
Congrats. Such a beautiful fish. You did such a perfect job of playing that fish + communicating. Great net job too!
Thanks it was one I’ll never forget!
Nice musky Doug!
Thank you!

She is by far the most attractive person I’ve ever seen please treat her amazingly
Been waiting for this vid!
Here it is! Thanks for watching.
Well done both of you! Nice to see you had a good time.
Congrats on the Canadian PB Doug! 👍
Thanks for watching!!
So awesome to see you get this monster fish. Nice to see you so excited! 🙂
They still get me worked up!
That was great! Congrats
Thanks for watching!
May i ask .... at the end of your video you show what appears to be pivoting steel camera mounts.... What brand are they? I like...
Small rig
Awesome Fish Doug!
Where did Jessie get that double weighted suick? I’ve never seen one with 2 weights
Right from suick at the sport shows
Congrats, nice fish. Double dawg 👍👍👍
Love double dawgs!
That fish is a beast and they definitely fight like a freaking tugboat out there. It's awesome!!
It’s the same one you caught!
@@dougwegnerfishing she fought like a freight train. She did that same head shack right after the hook set also. Truly awesome!!
Unreal fish dude! Congrats on that Canadian water dragon!
what do you think that fish was relating to Doug? seemed like open water? frickin tank for sure..
Here is an underwater reef there.
Wish my lady would get this excited about throwing lines haha
What a tank!! Nice work Doug!
Thank you!
Great musky Doug, congratulations, loved the Pipestone series.
That’s for coming along for the ride of it all!
Great fish Doug. Congrats!
Thank you!
Nice one Doug!
Thanks buddy!
Beautiful fish, but I thought it would be fatter given the size of the head when we first saw it. She sure pulled though. Great job!
This was a post spawn july fish im sure she is huge come fall.
Nice fish duuugggyyy
Thank you!!!

Wiser would be a good guess.
Congrats on the nice musky catches! I miss fishing for those beasts - Wicked video!!
Thanks for watching!!
Good catch. Still working on my 50+. Maybe my 50th muskie will be the ONE! Lol.
Love catching every one, gets ur adrenaline pumping!!!
Pipestone Point Resort??? Heading there in 2 weeks
Congratulations on your PB!
Thanks! I beat it last fall but this was a special one!
My 55 was in Shistoes between the islands and the point
Heard the water is up so be in there next week.
No place like Home!

what huge giant. love to see it dougy weg you deserve it.
Thank you it was a fish I’ll never forget
Grats Doug! What a beast of a fish!
Thank you!
Great fish men ! Congrats ! Let’s dream
Those fish are absolutely beautiful and so healthy.
Pipestone fish are a different breed no doubt!

Speed is the name of the game in the summer. Jess likes double 8s or 8/9 stagger and burns them in with a 7.1 prorex

Thank you and thanks for watching
That lady is very skilled with casting gears- respect…. ….yes, and by the way, she is also pretty.
Congrats on an amazing catch! I'd love chartering you for a day or two and going after some 'skies in the fairly near future
We might be able to make that happen some day!
Come fish the new river in Virginia if you want hard fighting fish😁

Atta boy Doug 💪😎

What lake is this??
Stellar trip. The woman stays happy with action and you get the tanker!!
damn thats a big boy
Is it bad that my rod is only 7 feet?
I’d suggest at least 9’ or longer. Will make your life so much easier

12:33 is she using the pike slime to moisture her feet? omg I would never do that, that shit smells so bad
hi
You beat my PB by half a inch

You are going to need to stop coming onto my RUclips feed unless you pay me $10.00 each day. I don’t want to see you fishing on my feed.
