T'Vondre Sweat reminds me of William Perry. He is projected to be a late first round pick and I want him draft on the Bears paired up with Montez Sweat. That will be an elite passrushing defense.

Hell, if the Bills grab a safety in FA and in Rd 4, I would consider going with his teammate DT Byron Murphy in Rd 1, and Sweat in Rd 2 (by moving up with our pick at 99 and a 3rd rounder next season; into Rd 2, and take Sweat and a WR like Legette or Franklin early in Rd 2, and use pick 60 for Sweat if available (if not, take McKinnley Jackson instead)…pairing Sweat and Murphy would solidify our interior DL for years, with Oliver and Jones on one line and Murphy and Sweat on the other

I know as a Pats fan we have alot of holes to fill on the offensive side namely qb, wr, LT, and RT but I wouldn't mind Patriots trading down late in the 1st round getting an extra 2nd and 3rd maybe and then drafting sweat my reasons for this are
1. Dline while Barmore and Judon are great pass rushers they are not great run defenders but add a guy like sweat who applies much needed pressure from the interior but is also great at stopping the run we would have three positions ready add Keion white who is getting playing time not doing great (so far) hopefully improves his pass rush next season we would have a solid dline.
2. A good replacement for Lawrence guy and godchaux who are just bodies that aren't good in pass rush or the run game that they can cut to save some cap no matter how small the amount is.
3. Patriots dline hasn't had a great nt since Vince wilfork its something we have been missing that needs to be addressed because godchaux ain't it especially against teams with a good run game.
Free agency needs/resign
1. Michael onwenu rt
2. Hunter Henry te
3. Kyle Dugger safety
4. Ezekiel Elliott rb
If we only resign two of these guys we use that extra cap to extend Barmore or Judon right now or both who knows one can dream.
Our draft would look something like this
1st round 25-32 pick sweat
2nd round left tackle
2nd round extra pick wr or rt if we don't resign Onwenu
3rd round Safety if we don't resign dugger
3rd round extra pick te or cb depending if we resign hunter henry
4th round linebacker or cb
5th round any oline position
6th round any dline position
Or best case he falls in the 2nd round and Pats pick him with our second round pick I would love this personally wishful thinking sorry for the long post.

You do know The Pats were 3rd in rushing yards allowed per game right? Also #1 in ypc at only allowing 3.3 yards a rush I don't think we need help on defense especially run stopping we need Qb, blocking & playmakers.
He almost NEEDS to slim down to prolong his career and expand his talent/skill profile. Dominating just with sheer size and strength in college isn’t as effective in the NFL. His swim moves and hands at times give me hope he could take his game to the next level

@@TheMockDraftGuyDex probably just moves to another spot on the interior, while Sweat plays the NT. Crazy thing is, they could get him and address another need like tackle, WR or edge.
@zackhurwitz9441 doesn’t work like that. Dex is 340. You’re going to ask him or Sweat to drop weight to move to DE? Two guys that big don’t fit together. You are going to have to ask one of them to drop a massive amount of weight, and I’m not asking an All-Pro to do that.
@@TheMockDraftGuy Dex rushes plenty from the 2 and 3 tech alignments. He might be the most athletic 340 lb player in the entire NFL, and his gas tank is incredible.
Drafting Sweat would free Dex up to rush from those positions even more, and see less double teams. Basically, Dex would play where A'shawn Robinson does now, and Sweat would play where Dex is, and thus gives NY a two position upgrade.
Why not move to a 4-3? They have the personal if that’s the case.

I think the Cardinals or Packers will end up picking him with a strong lean towards the Packers. They finished 28th in opponent rushing yards so he would have an immediate impact. Also I feel that Sweat's draft range coincides well with the Packers current picks and it's just good value especially if he falls towards the mid to bottom of the 2nd.

Why is it that nobody thinks of the Packers when evaluating these run stuffing D-Tackles? They are one of the worst teams at stopping the run year after year.... Sweat is EXACTLY what the Packers need on the interior of their defensive line!
