We have a lot of freezers, my husband is a hunter! Move the oldest game to a different freezer so you have room for the new game coming in. Been doing it for years, use up oldest first when making meals. Makes it so much easier.😊

That’s exactly what we do each year has its own freezer and we work through the oldest freezer :)

I did a meat clean out from my freezer this past summer, the next clean out will be fruits and vegetables then I can give my refrigerator a full clean for 2024. You have big beautiful eyes.

Just wanted to give you an update! I got those freezer locks, and got them on the freezers and the porch fridge just in time. We did not take a direct hit from Idalia, but we definitely have been getting battered with the outer bands. Heavy wind and rains, and all out door freezers and fridges are secure! I am so glad I saw your video, and that you mentioned them. Thank you so much!

Oh my gosh that makes me so so happy to hear! Thank you for the updates and I am happy you all are staying safe and aren’t taking the brunt of the storm. Thank you for being here 😊

I am excited to see how your challenge progresses. I love watching your videos for not only the cooking and recipes, but your overall cheery disposition and upbeat attitude are definitely engaging.
I do have a question regarding frozen milk. I live alone, and find myself pouring out milk absolutely too often. Can you give ideas on how you thaw your milk? I think this is the way to solve my problem, but I am unsure as to the best way to go about it.

You are so sweet thank you so much! You can pour your milk into any soze container that you want and freeze it that way. If you can only get through a quart at a time pour your milk into quarts leave a lot of headspace and freeze them! Then to defrost just leave it on the counter for about an hour and then pop in the fridge to defrost the rest of the way :)

I'm not trying to pick on you but those freezers should be defrosted once a year. Having that much ice build up is not efficient and a good way to wear out your appliance sooner than later. Having a freezer that empty is also not efficient. Fill up bottles or jugs of water and place those inside the freezer as it empties. If you have a power outage, it won't thaw out as fast and it saves the appliance to not work as hard. I defrost my freezers in jan or feb when temps drop below freezing. I haul everything onto the porch in boxes, coolers and tote bags. Then I have plenty of time to defrost with pots of boiling water and towels. Hope that helps.

OH, MY Gosh!!!! Ordering those locks right now. Last year we were hit by Hurricane Ian. Forgot to tape the freezers and one refrigerator closed. The big freezer is in my carport, and it's contents were strewn down my driveway. Hurricane season is upon us, and I won't have to worry about it!

Oh my gosh that is so crazy and I am sure quite scary! It is honestly so nice to be proactive and have one less thing to worry about in an already beyond scary and stressful situation!

Looking forward to the pantry Challenge. Some people I follow have been pressure canning meals instead of just ingredients. This interests me but haven't tried it. Do you do NY meals in a jar?

I have honestly not tried it either but is something I have been wanting to explore I think soups would be amazing!
